TechPowerUp got a sneak-peek into the R&D facility of SeaSonic Electronics, a major switching power supply OEM that also sells under its own channel brand with the same name.
We were shown two new high-end modular power supply units (PSUs) under development, the SeaSonic X-Series Platinum X-1050, and X-Series X-1250.
The 1050W X-1050 is designed to meet 80 Plus Platinum efficiency rating requirements, while the 1250W X-1250 is shaping up to be 80 Plus Gold compliant.
Both PSUs feature fully modular cabling, and appear to be using a new internal design not featured on any SeaSonic-made partner PSUs.
Both PSUs are feature and appear to be using single +12V rail designs.
The ATX v2.3-compliant X-1050 offers two EPS connectors apart from ATX, six 6+2 pin PCI-Express connectors, and a wealth of SATA and Molex connectors, making it ideal for gaming PCs with up to three graphics cards.
The X-1250 ups the connectivity with eight 6+2 pin PCI-E power connectors, making it a choice for enthusiast PCs with four graphics cards.

大体見えてきた。 Plutinumシリーズの第一弾は、
大容量化に見合うコンデンサの電荷のUP、ファンコントロールを2モード選択制に、
レイアウトを見直し熱源を極力排気孔側に移動、1次大容量平滑コンデンサと熱源がカブることを避けた。
こんなとこか。
そして、もう一つ、写真の中に見えるのは、おそらく高品質なポリエステルコンデンサ、マイラコンだな。
コイツを今まで使ってるものよりグレード上げて相性などによる発振対策か何かにするのだとみた。
相変わらず堅い中身やね。派手さは全くと言っていいほど無いが堅実な設計思想だ。
