Bush Approval Gains After Reagan Funeral, Poll Says
June 23 (Bloomberg) -- President George W. Bush's approval rating rose 4 percentage
points after former President Ronald Reagan's state funeral, United Nations approval of a
June 30 handover of power in Iraq and the fifth consecutive month of job growth, the
University of Pennsylvania's Annenberg poll said.
Bush's approval rating rose to 52 percent in the June 8-21 Annenberg survey, from 48
percent in May. The number of people who said the country is going in the right direction
increased 7 percentage points to 40 percent.
