i'm a hikikomori and have been a member of this thread since the previous thread. does someone here wanna try using the voice chat on skype with me to improve our verbal skills? i posted a comment at a skype thread in the English board before someone wrote the comment >>21, but few people gave me a reply. my skype id is erwerf9. my english is poor especially in speaking and i'm glad if i can find someone to talk to.
Hi. It's been a long time since I posted here. What's up with you, guys?
>>45 >and have been a member of this thread since the previous thread. Oh, so have I.
Although I like your idea about using Skype to improve our oral skills, I do not have the confidence to talk with you in English smoothly because I think your English level is much higher than mine,
I'm just curious to know how long you've been studying English and whether you've already talked with Ragequals-san(who posted some comments on "いきなり外人と話せないチキンがskypeID晒すスレ") through Skype or not.
>>46 actually i talked to him, mr. Ragequals, once on skype. but we used only japanese. i also talked with another person in english, and his english was much better than mine, but our conversation was far from smooth. even though the conversation was not smooth, i was satisfied with that talk.
and that my speaking is not smooth is the reason i'm looking for people to talk to here. i feel your english is better than mine. why not try practicing your speaking with me?
I always comfort my crotch by my own right hand. At the same time, I feel a great pleasure and ecstasy. But recently, I cannot feel these feelings. So I decided to take some nutririous supplement like EBIOS, and now I take it after every meals. But, alas, still my ecstasy never come back again. Is it because of my unwholesome hikikomori life?
sorry, but I hate namefags. I have no idea why they post on an anonymous board like 2ch using a name. (I think they are much more "assertive" than most other anonymous posters.)

As a Japanese language learner, I feel that (some of) you guys' Japanese is a little bit awkward. You're not very good at writing clearly and explicitly even in your mother tongue, I think. If so, I bet, you will never be able to write fluently in any foreign language.
I seriously think, before learning English you should read a lot of Japanese literature to improve your language skills. Reading ancient and modern literature will help you to develop your insight into language. In many ways, it is for your future benefit.
If you want to learn English more efficiently, don't read textbooks, instead just talk in English with others, if possible, with native English speakers.

Those Uyghur men and women were brought to the Chinese factories for forced, cheap and slavery labor under the Chinese government forced relocation policy on Uyghurs.
Is there anybody who knows something about the TV show "Top Gear" ? I'm loving it well-known in UK so much, and I recently talked it with my english teacher from England, but somehow his response for Top Gear wasn't as good as I had expected. Asking for him, he feels that show his father likes is kind of boring. Unfortunately I don't know why he said such a thing and even have no idea to get a sense of British people because I'm only a common student still studying English in high school here.

An Indian police office grabs two fists-full of a suspect's hair; twists and then lifts until the suspect's feet dangle off ground. The suspect: A 6-year-old girl accused of stealing 280 rupees or about 6 dollars. The incident resulted in one officer being fired, another suspended. Charges against the girl were dropped. It was all caught on tape in February of this year.
I wonder why >>321 thinks so. In a way, I know what >>321 means, but >>321 has to know that talking to foreign people face-to-face in English is not the only way to use English. You know, there are many other ways to use English language as a useful tool. :)
For example, we can use English as a powerful information tool. Thanks to today's technologies, we can connect to the outside world from home over the internet, and get a lot of foreign info about games, novels, news and whatnot in English. I like to browse foreign game sites in English because I can know what the present foreign game world is like. :)
Moreover, using e-mail or Skype, we can directly communicate with foreign people, even if we cannot leave home. Now, I have some friends overseas and sometimes I talk with them in English through Skype. It's fun. :)

I don't know why, but whenever I go to bed at night, I feel the fear of death.
This fear has continued to torment me since I was born. I always wondered what this fear is, and at one point I asked people about this but they knew nothing.
The other day, I've found a interesting syndrome, called "Thanatophobia". According to a dictionary, "Thanatophobia" means "an abnormal fear of death" or "死恐怖症,"
I think, the fact that this kind of word exists shows that there are many people like me around the world. I'm not special. This gave me a brief calm, although I could not find the clear cause of the phobia.

"I have the feeling only thing you will come out of there with is more debt." この文章、結構入り組んでて複雑そうに見えますが "The person I'm talking with is my mom." と基本的には同じ形です。
>>599に使われた for は、to不定詞の意味上の主語を表す為に機能的に用いられたforと覚えると 理解がしやすくなります。(より簡単な例文では) (a)--- To study English is difficult. (b)--- For her to study English is difficult. (a)では、「英語を勉強するのは難しい」となりますが、 (b)では、「彼女が英語を勉強するのは難しい」となります。 ※ちなみに、英語は主語を簡潔にする傾向があり、(b)では、主語が長くて重いので、よく (c)It is difficult for her to study English. として、形式的にitを主語に代用します。
類では、動名詞の意味上の主語は、目的格(or所有格、固有名詞)で表します。 (A) = Studying English is difficult. (B) = Her studying English is difficult. (日本英語では、(c)がメジャーですが、なにを強調するかで各文に若干の差があるようです。)
そういうわけで、 be for の形ではなく、 for A to do の形を認識すると (この場合のforはto不定詞の直前が基本) 一般的な前置詞「〜ため」のforなのか、意味上の主語を表すforなのかが見抜けるように なるはずです。
The last thing they will expect for me is to take everything.
これだと、forが前置詞「〜為に」と訳さざるをえず、take everythingの意味上主語が その文の主語 them (もしくは一般全体)になります。
>>616 It is simply because I like English. However, I sometimes forget it and ask myself the question again and again. Thinking it reasonably, it actually is useful to be able to speak and listen to English. You can communicate with various people in English and it may bring you a new perspective of the world. In addition, you will have more choices in getting a job. But those reasons can not persuade you to study English. In other words, you can not persuade someone who is not diligent to study English for its usefulness. That's why, I think the reason is...thar I like English otherwise I won't be able to continue to study it. −then, why do I like English??? It is the second biggest question. lol

The mean? This frase would maybe be said when he was a newborn baby. This must maybe probably be special inverted sentence. The word, dark was, in other words, exchanged by the frase, the night. The original sentence will maybe probably be "the night was dark." The baby will maybe think "the night is dark" at his first night in this world. , such as Armstrong Neil saying " The Earth Is Blue" when he went into the universe for the first time as mankind. A part of the sentence however apparenly seems to be failure because the night is universally dark, because of the reality of universality as English grammar. The proper sentence is maybe probably "dark is the night." And, don't ignore me.

全体を纏めると 『he offered to drive me home, but i declined it(the offer) and walked to the station slowly.』

What most people don't know is that grammar "rules" are not really rules. As you know, the rules you learn in textbooks are confusing, too difficult, or even wrong. They confuse you.
Therefore, learning more grammar will not improve your English. Simply studying vocabulary words won't help either. Obviously, these methods are not successful.
English has absorbed many words from other languages throughout its history, usually without changing the spelling of those words. As a result, the written form of English includes the spelling patterns of five languages (Old English, Old Norse, Norman, Classical Latin and Greek) superimposed upon one another.
These overlapping spelling patterns mean that in many cases the same sound can be spelled differently and the same spelling can represent different sounds.
In 1984, the National Academy of Education commissioned a report on the status of research and instructional practices in reading education, Becoming a Nation of Readers. Among other results, the report includes the finding that phonics instruction improves children's ability to identify words.
don't forget as well there are actually 24 consonant sounds and 14 vowel sounds in the english language. Thiis only covers the short vowels and single consonants. add in long vowels and dipthongs and blends and you? are covered. ということで26音素は一部分と
I decided to take the TOEIC test, but haven't studied much yet. Listening is easier to do than reading and all I'm doing recently is listening. I think I should learn about English grammar more.

You mean you will quit using this place in the near future? In that case, I want you to come to twitter where you can read a lot of comments written in English by a lot of people all over the world. Some famous people such as Ryuichi Sakamoto and H. Mikitani, the CEO of Rakuten, are using it and posting their comments there in English. I'll quote one of the comments by H. Mikitani.
> The best way to master English is just follow the words and don't translate to Japanese. Build English brain, don't convert to Japanese. http://twitter.com/hmikitani/status/9002378015
I got a union boss -a broad no less - that I need to do me a favor, and she asks me for money? All I wanted was 24 hour access to the docks, while the strike was going on, strikes that I helped organize, so my boys could offload some drugs, and now I get this horse shit! I mean these are people that I personally fought for, people I've killed for, honest people. And this is how they repay me? 小娘の組合幹部に話をつけなきゃならんのだが、 ワシから金をせびろうだと? 埠頭に24時間アクセスできるようにしたい、ワシが仕立てたストライキが行われてる最中に、 部下が荷を降ろせるようにな、 それがこのザマよ! 連中には個人的に手を焼いてやった、殺しも請け負った、素直な連中なのだ。 恩を仇で返しおって!
So the laundry won't pay any protection eh? The Triads think they can mess with me? Let's teach these would be tough guys what it means to be a tough guy.
