Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are keeping their eyes on Catania's exciting sensation Takayuki Morimoto, according to Itasportpress.
The 21-year-old Japanese star has enjoyed his best season yet in Serie A,scoring seven goals in 23 games for the Etnei to help them escape relegation.
Morimoto signed for the Sicilians in 2006 from Tokyo Verdy 1969 and his current deal expires in 2011.However,the report suggests a 10million bid from either of the Premier League sides could see him leave this summer.
It is said that Manchester United are currently in pole position to sign Morimoto.Reports claim the Red Devils already made enquiries for him back in January, and talks could now open up following the latest developments at Old Trafford.
The news comes just as United annouced they would not be holding onto Argentinean striker Carlos Tevez, after he failed to agree terms with the club.
