After the report that Arsenal's spanish whizkid Merida is about to leave Arsenal, local paper at Manchester has reported that Arsenal have offered the league champions a swap deal offer on Merida ?M pounds for Park.
The 17 year old spaniard had failed to impress Arsenal's coaching staffs while United's Park had been out injured from the starting of the season. While Sir Alex Ferguson was quick enough to bring his replacement by signing Portuguese youngster Nani from Sporting Lisbon. Nani was actually considered as a 'long-term' investment, however, it seems that Nani has took over Park's place at United.
South Korean skipper, who is currently injured, had already been linked with Arsenal last winter, on replacing Freddie Ljunberg(West Ham), had remained silent which brought more doubt for the fans.
According to an anonymous board member at Arsenal said, "Park, would fit great with our club, and Wenger knows that too. It was his request after all, but we are not desperate for the moment". He also added that Park would be back on pitch by next January, meaning that he can also play in the Champions League for his new club.
The offer is rumoured around 4.2M pounds Merida for Park.
