I am a member of a group that tries to make a anime song on the top of the Japanese hit chart. The song is an opening theme of an animation, “Magical Negima”, some of you might have known.
In April of 20005, this song went up to the 3rd in the Japanese hit chart, while it was on the 20th of the world. However, a Japanese artist made a insulting comment on this song itself, and the similar response was seen on the TV, radio and so on.
As mentioned above, the songs rooted in OTAKU cultures such as Animation are under unfair treatment in present Japanese music industry, even if they get into high ranks on the chart.
To make a break through in this situation, and also to enjoy watching the mass media confused, we started this act in Japan.
