slim and manly. They have this natural, tough, proud masculinity that
Euromerican men don't have.

Japan should do an important international role within the framework of the war-renouncing Article 9 of the Constitution.
The Japan-US security treaty holds good unless one of the parties notifies the other of its intention to terminate it.

>>26 I dont like to define a character for "asians" as it is a futile
generalisation. I tend to refer to people according to their country.
I never say, ah that person is Asian. Because it can mean anyone, Pakistani,
Uygur, Mongolian, Vietnamese, Bangladeshi...
People of different nations all have different characters.
33KG2ch:2014/05/25(日) 19:27:40.36 ID:n86z6lDb!
>>26 Koreans show their emotions, even when they hide it, they make gestures that
give away emotions (boredom, anger etc). They are very protective of women, I
noticed that. Japanese men, on the other hand keep you guessing all the time.
Maybe the way they keep it inside, they give you more emotional space.
This kind of reservedness can be good or bad. But they are certainly mysterious.
Chinese men are extremely stubborn but change mind easily
to suit their interests. They communicate very well once you are in their circle
and look after you if you are good friends.
34KG2ch:2014/05/25(日) 19:37:53.73 ID:n86z6lDb!
>>26 Singaporean-Chinese men are very emotional, but their upbringing may be traumatic
and that shows in their attitude towards women. As far as I am concerned there is
something wrong with that society, they are damaged goods. Both of my
colleagues were like that.
I have not met Vietnamese but I have a feeling they might have a
very soft, submissive approach. I know people from Indonesia, Malaysia
are likely to be very friendly and warm. I dont wantto say anything
about Indian, Pakistani or Bangladeshi men, as they have ALWAYS
infuriated and annoyed me. However Sri Lankans are extremely intelligent,
humorous and full of life, also very unique. I don't want to talk about
Russians or Finns as I know them very well(for me they are an Asian country in Europe).
Who else remains...hmmm

>>35 I can tell from miles away. Everything, looks, posture, limb
movements, eyes, dressing style, reserved way of speech, politeness...
is outstanding. Japan is a unique country. I would hate to see the
Japanese character change. If people cannot tell, it is because
they have not made an effort to come out of their comfort zone
to discover the world. They are plain lazy and ignorant. But it is not
as straightforward as that. In this world of "facilitated" globalism,
international communication is very complex and fascinating at the same time.

soy sauce face (shôyu-gao) stands for very far-east asian face, flat and not hairy.
kanameshi can be called shôyu-gao, I think.

sause face (sôsu-gao) stands for more gaijin-like face, rugged and hairy.
for instance, Matsumoto Jun of Arashi.

The Ukrainian forces bombed and strafed the airport in the eastern part of the country. The airport is a stronghold for pro-Russian troops. A few soldiers were injured by this air raid.
The newly appointed President decided to continue their struggle against pro-Russian "terrorists."

Someone who believes in blood type character categorization might do.
I for one think they use blood type character categorization to delete men
who's blood type B, for example, out of potential boyfriend/husband list.
Like, "He's blood type B so I shouldn't get along well with me."
I think more women believe blood type character categorization than men do.
I don't believe such a unscientific thing.

Regarding face type, your question is almost the same as "Do men choose
partners according to how big women's boobs are?" The size of boobs is
just one of the factors when men choose a woman as a gf or wife.

>>152 I see. Do you think women who strike type B off the list

haha. I don't know. Isn't it the matter of which have larger population, men
with blood types other than B or women with 36C+ and bigger bust size?

Some women might feel under pressure but I guess most women don't think
it seriously. They can igonre those men who judge women only by bust size.
I for one doesn't like breast implants. What's the point of rubbing bags of cilicon
when making love? Nothing can beat real things. Even if women's bust are small, it's a lot better
than artificial one.

1945 The end of the World War U.
1945〜1949 The Indonesian War of Independence.
Netherlands(and Britain and Australia) causes and enters it.

A little thought will tell you that if Japan had left Indonesia before 1945, they must have come back and not recognized the independence.
Japan knew it, so Japan provided military training for Indonesian.

Japan's war was not an aggressive war but a defensive war.
Japan only lost it. Because of that, Japan has been continuing to suffer from many false histories since then.
Nanking, comfort women, 731,Bataan...

I don't think America is a real friend because they have supported the false histories.

It's very difficult to think the if.

Those territories were not "colonies" just like western colonies.
If both "Capitalism vs Communism" and "Western people vs Asian people" was left over a long period,
those conflicts may have brought about a sense of unity.
Japan may have become a multiracial nation.

However, America ,in any case, put "Western people vs Asian people" before "Capitalism vs Communism."
I don't know if "Western people vs Asian people" was solved without a war.

So what you're saying is that Japanese women find that there are too many husband-material men, so they choose an arbitrary characteristic to narrow down their choices?

Good job of calculating. But to be presice, the subjects of research
have to be, say, in their 20's and 30's because most of single men and women belong
to this age age braket(20 and older to 39 and younger).
Plus, I'm under the impression that the older a woman get the less she
take blood type seriously, so you have to take this factor into consideration.

Anyway, love and marriage don't seem to be just about number and statistics,
and other factors come in when you choose a boyfriend and husband.
>>206 is a good example. He loves big boobs but somehow, got married with
a woman with small boobs, and he's happily married with two nice grown-up daughters.

>>214 I agree, but I dont have the age breakdown data, man.
The thing is, you can more or less see a woman's breast size.
But a woman doesn't have a chance to see his size unless they have
intimacy before marriage. Maybe in a world of financially empowered
women there will be graded penis sizes and it will be used for underwear
design. 15B, 22C etc. Then I will believe there is equality in the sense that
men will be equally turned into graded objects.

Some women wear bra which helps their boobs look bigger than they really are.
Some can stuck something between their boobs and bra to make their boobs look big.
They have their own way of dealing with the disparity you mentioned
between men and women.

I think I understand your point but I doubt women wants to know
their potential boyfriend's or husband's penis size. Do you?

I am not making fun or degrading penis. All I am saying is defining
something to its detail can turn that thing into an object. Although
men talk about it, there hasnt been a universal definition table
for penises. It is a no-no, a taboo. The reason is there hasn't been
a demand, because women do not have that confidence that demand.
Since more economic power available to women (compared to
a few decades ago), we will begin to see a shift in objectification.

Taliban has released their footage whitch shows they freed an U.S. Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl
who had been in captive for nearly 5years to U.S. troop landed by Black Hawk chopper.
I ctually felt something weird as I saw the video because Taliban guys waved at U.S. troop
when they left up to the sky in their chopper.
They looked somehow familiar.

489KG2ch:2014/06/07(土) 19:48:38.00 ID:QhzucAia!
Reading air only happens if as a child you have grown up in a tight knit
community. Meaning you have the same school uniform, same lunch boxes, same
thoughts, same behaviour. If you are not allowed to stick out, you will
need to monitor the crowd psychology carefully and adhere to the mood
of everyone else's. That way you can develop the ability to read the air (RTA).
If foreigners had that system , they would learn to RTA too.
Since they have an education sytem based on individualism, they don't.
Therefore how can you expect them to have the ability to RTA?
You cannot be born with it, you acquire your RTA training at school.
So it does not make sense to expect foreigners to RTA. Nor boast about it
as if it is some supernatural ability. There are far more superior
traits of your culture you can be proud of .

You will be able to care about them in a real sense so that you will have a girlfriend someday.

When I had a part time job in laundry shop I found that customers were very few on a rainy day.
They didn't want to have their clothes washed even if they get them in laundry.
I guess there seem to be something psycological factor with washing clothes on a day with rain.

Each day I visited a laundry shop, it was raining. However, it was necessity
rather than choice, otherwise I'd probably have waited for nicer weather.
Here, however, there aren't so many coin laundries. Most people have space
for a washing machine at home. However, there are still a few in the middle
of cities, where living space is much more limited.

I've heard gaijin living in Japan complain about people using them for practicing English so many times. They get frustrated because they want to practice Japanese but everyone speaks English to them.
The first time some gaijin told me a similar story, I was like okay, yeah that might be annoying but now I'm so fed up with this story.
What's more, I learned Americans studying Japanese are exactly the same way!! They know we Japanese exchange students are here to study english, spending a couple million dollars.
Despite the fact, most of them almost always speak in Japanese to us!!!Now I'm so frustrated about exactly the same thing as those gaikokujin I met in Japan were.
Don't take it wrong, I understand their feeling. They spent many hours studying Japanese but they don't have many chances to use it. It's understandable they'd want to practice their Japanese when they get to know someone from Japan.
That's totally fine, I'd be happy to help them with whatever they want. I JUST want them to know that the language frustration doesn't only happen to gaijin in Japan,
but Japanese students in US are going through the same experience in US so please don't blame us for being so obsessed with "eikaiwa"

1 and 3 don't really work in English sentences. You can use 2 if you
are given a choice of things to choose from. You can use 4 if you are
asking someone directly, without choices. For example...

4. I'm a firefighter. What are you?

I think that many people have a different way of thinking. Some people
want to make us feel more comfortable, and so try to use our own native
languages, despite us wanting to be able to practice. It's nice that some
people go out of their way to try and help, even if we don't need or want
it. On my last day in Tokyo, I had just arrived at a terminal to charge
my Suica, as I had done many times before, and a kind elderly man started
explaining to me how to do it (in Japanese and exaggerated hand gestures).
It's nice to know that at some times, he probably will find people who really
need help with it.

The issue is there is a Japanese gentleman who was offended by some
globally ignorant Brits (there are these types in every country!)
while he was in the UK. It is very unfortunate
that it happened. The problem is, once broken, you cannot mend
someone's broken pride. I am totally with his sentiments.
We have to recognise the fact that people are sensitive, so
verbal violence can turn into a life long hatred. Hence this
compensation issue that surfaces every now and then...
Perhaps he could tell us what happened and we can share the
heavy sentiments. I am a very sensitive
person too, so I can relate to such things. Because I am also,
a stranger in a strange land. Even on my home planet.
618KG2ch:2014/06/10(火) 05:12:30.88 ID:n8uApZUd!
The important thing to remember is, there are ignorant people in EVERY
country, including on planet Venus. We are here, communicating from all
over the world. We all love Japan and speaking Japanese and English.
We are lucky that internet gets us to understand each other.
Why don't we use it to restore human pride? instead of destroying it.
619イギリス人:2014/06/10(火) 05:44:20.31 ID:kbOJO8+W!
On that day his mask came off, we were able to connect with him, and to
understand why he felt the way he does. It was easy to sympathise, and
also to feel angry towards the people who made him this way. While it
was really sad to hear about his experience, it was nice that he was able
to open up to us, and allow us to understand.

I do, however, believe that broken pride can be restored. But not by
shouting abuse at random people.

It's vain complaining about the false history.
Only victors have the right to make history that is true anywhere in the world anytime in the history.

We will have to live for the future and if Japan win the war(not meaning military war) there, we should be able to rewrite the past history.

That makes sense. I think things can be seen from two different point of views. You're seeing it in a positive way and I'm seeing it in a negative way.
Transportation here is not so bad. I live in a big city where there's a good bus and metro service. It's not a problem as far as getting around the city areas.
If I want to go a bit further into the countryside, I'll need a car. But since I have friends who give me a ride, I don't always have to take a bus.

And don't worry about the troll. He's just an immature, self-conscious, attention seeking type.
Everyone knows it's tough to live in a foreign country. You will experience some kind of discrimination or rejection at least once. Sometimes you'll get really hurt and might feel hatred against the country and people.
What he doesn't understand is it could happen to anyone anywhere. It's not something special in UK.
Gaikokujin living in Japan might be having the same problem as he did. He could be the cause for someone to hate Japan himself. (He definitely will be if he's the same way in real life) So all I want to say is just deal with it and get it over with.

That might be to do with working holidays, rather than living there full-time.
The Australian working holiday scheme allows people to stay for a year, but
also allows a year extension for people who complete 3 months (88 days) of
work in certain fields. I don't know if there are more places allocated for
people from certain countries, as Japan's working visa scheme does.

Water birds have a habit of attacking people, especially when they have
recently had chicks, in the nesting season. The longer the neck, the more
vicious the birds, usually.

At Yamanakako, we were approached by a swan. She started chasing us, and
swam closer and closer until she was able to bite my leg many times. There
were no baby swans around, so I guess she just wanted to attack someone.
Here are the photos up until just before the attack. Her feathers are in
combat mode.

"Thousands of other POWs were beaten, burned, stabbed, or clubbed to death, shot, beheaded,

And as a result of being fed grossly inadequate and befouled food and water,
thousands more died of starvation and easily preventable diseases."

JAPANESE VIEW

They think Japanese have very narrow eyes.
Hollywood like Korean actors, so Koreans play the role of Japanese people.
Korean eyes are narrower than Japanse ones.
Westernes often say the eyes of the Japanese anime characters are very big, so Japanese people want to be westerners.
That's very funny. It is the grossest misunderstanding, I think.

I think foreign people are glorifying Bushido too much.
Bushido is merely one of the traditional values.

There are so many lifestyles in Japan like other countries.
Most Japanese people eat Japanese food or localized western food.
I have never gone to McDonald's for 5 years.
Even teenagers don't eat burgers three times a day.
If you go to the food store in Japan, you can understand it.

And oatmeal is more healthier than polished rice.
Japanese continue to take in also good things from other countries.

From the same article you sent me:
”Environmental groups are still fighting the battle against the sonar, lobbying the government to curtail testing, at least during peacetime,
or to at least ramp up testing gradually to give marine wildlife a better chance to flee affected areas. “The U.S. Navy could use a number
of proven methods to avoid harming whales when testing mid-frequency sonar,” reports IFAW’s Fred O'Regan. “Protecting whales and preserving national security are not mutually exclusive.”

Being against killing whales is not anti-Japan.

Maybe I should speak with the Queen so she can make you an honorary Brit.

Why don't we just ignore the paranoid guy? His obsession with British is beyond a joke. (Its not funny at all in the first place) It's a pathological level.
Maybe it's that there's nothing else he can talk about but he wants to "chat" in English so he keeps repeating the same story over and over. He might just be a boring guy. Either way he's creepy

A few months ago, I went to a hospital. The brain surgeon found a tumor in my brain. Then he said it is an incurable disease because it is near a vital nerve. He said he could not cut a tumor. Bringing about a recovery is impossible.
I have also diabetes.

Japanese are the most logical people in the world, especially about the world peace.
We have a lot of things to do.

Sometimes the best thing to do is different from what actually we can do. In this case, we may regret.
I didn't do my best thing in my prime, so I don't live in the way what I expected. I feel like regretting. But you know it doesn't make sense. That is life. I say to myself. Maybe strictly speaking, that is MY life.

Many industrial countries are anxious about the current oil supply situation.
Iraqi warplanes bombed and strafed the position held by anti-government troops. Tensions mounted in Iraq.
The United States and other industrialized nations is considering the option to help evacuate their own nationals in Iraq.

What's difference between oh my god and oh my gosh?

I don't believe in Christianity nor god

So I definitely don't want to say "god"!

Maybe I should say something like "oh my Buddha" instead since I'm Japanese (I'm not religious at all though...)

The US official made a remark implicitly supporting Iraqi government forces for cease-fire.
The US government will serve as a troubleshooter between Iraqi government and anti-government troops to bring about peace in the country.

Troubleshooter? Don't make me laugh!
You'd better look back on the past.
If you learn what the US gvernmnt did to Iraq when Bush was the president, you'll find that it is a troublemaker.

Do you know 絵馬(EMA)?

"Dokdo is a Korean island!"
"Die by the earthquake!" → He or she wrote in 2007.
"Dokdo is a Korean territory, so sink into the sea!"
"Japan sinks!" → He or she wrote in 2007.
"The counquest of Japan"
"Reflect on the past and learn from Chine and Korea!"

Japanese people will never forget how pleased Koreans were in 2011.
This is one of the reasons why Japanese people hate Koreans.
