Hey!!! All you NEETs, nerds, YouTube link spammers, pedophiles, neo-Nazis, Yukorin enthusiasts, Nanako SOS admirers, Part-Time-Preachers, Diplomats' spoiled sons, losers who can't remember Kanji characters, Big-boobs fans, Weeaboo from around the world, learners of Japanese who are too lazy to update their Japanese blogs very often, cunning linguists, stupid fan girls of Johnny's Boys, Touhou pirates, and that electrical super-gay who suffers from mental disease - This is your thread! Let's hope Igirisu-jin and the Internet-addicted housewife will come back soon!
This is the place to have a blast!!!!! Let's continue to support recovery efforts in Japan!!!!!
Thanks a lot what had made this thread. By the way, I had saw picture what my friends naked picture at somewhere. Then hornesty I had surprised at it. But its picture be seem so cute. I had fall in love that soon. So attractive so much.
1 Dogs don't mind when you leave the toilet seat up. 2 Another man will seldom steal your dog. 3 Dogs are delighted if you bring another dog home. 4 When dogs hear a noise in the night, they check it out themselves ithout waking you. 5 Dogs still love you when you can't be bothered to shower. 6 Dogs never complain when you smoke in the car. 7 Dogs never ask you to put the garbage out. 8 Dogs don't mind if you forget their birthdays. 9 Dogs are delighted when they find another dog hair on your jacket. 10 Dogs like to ride in the car with the windows open. 11 Dogs don't mind when you watch sports on TV all day. 12 Dogs don't know how to use credit cards. 13 Dogs prefer it when the grass is long and the garden is overgrown. 14 Dogs are not allowed in expensive designer shops. 15 And, if a dog leaves, it won't sue you for the house and half of your savinggs.
The only thing you can do is point out someone's bad grammar, because that's pretty much the only thing you did during English classes. There's a lot of bad grammar in >>4 but still I can see what he's driving at. And that's the most important thing.
>>12 Online newspapers I read regularly are CNN and Yahoo!News (US). Sometimes I go to USA today and BBC. Recently I've been spending more time reading comments to the news than the news themselves. I think that's a good way to learn to write in English in places like this.
I'm convinced that you are not a genius at all because those who are called genius by other people never waste time. For them, time is precious treasure given by God to achieve something. You are fooling around here, which proves you are not a genius from the beginning.
hahaha If they were to be a real genius, they could post something in here as if they breath. My power of geniusness spend 0.0000000001% energy to write in here. I am sorry for being able to show you my geniusness in Englsih.
I will see a psychiatrist near future. I don't know why my family tell me to go to it. But I must show my family that I am a normal person(but genius).
lets stop wasting time and be a genius anyone who posts in this thread hereafter is a non-genius and has a small dick and small balls i gonna be a genius
I hope you stop making sexual comments. You may find it's funny, but it's not funny at all. It's quite offensive to some. People never make such comments in countries where English is spoken. You better learn to behave yourself before learning English. It's something that's not tolerated in forums overseas.
>>16 Good point. We Japanese tend to be too strict about other people's mistake. That's why we won't be able to speak English in spite of long learning of English.
>>26 I disagree. Every other word I hear on the streets is vulgar and pointing at human reproduction. Office language is highly filtered and depending on the class of the person you talk to, gentleman-like. I find it funny when you ask 2ch people to behave themselves.
>>22 Most geniuses I know have no time for God either.
>>29 I'm not a gentleman. I consider myself a pervert. But being a pervent in real life is one thing, using dirty words in public places like this is another and I don't like it. And you know, being a pervert and being a completely law-abiding citizen are not mutually exclusive.
I'm wondering, are you all gays? cause you guys seem to really like to use words for male sexual organs, from what I've seen.
>> 37 I always thought it was some kind of sad attempt at bragging. "Look at me, I know all these swear words!" I have no idea what this is supposed to mean though.
>>37 Do you know flashers who expose their chinpo and kintama in front of ladies? Don't get me wrong. I'm not that kind of guy but I just want to say they are hard-core straight.
Anyway, suddenly my working places owner told me that“Kisho”・・. Then I surprised when heared it but its after could had ease to calm down. It their habit like that so I don't mind that. And my supperior suddenly said that “you still working there”.
Today, I learned three bad English words, skunk, asshole, and mother hucker. Language should be used for the feeling from bottom of own heart. I always want to say bad words to people that I dislike. This is my ture feeling.
>>53 My pleasure. But why would you want to learn bad words to begin with? You want to use them toward the gaijin-s out there? I don't think that will get you anywhere.
I learned "motherfucker" and "skunk is not a bad word" from you, thank you.
>>57 I don't dislike gaijins nor have a chance to meet gaijins outdoor. So I will not use these bad words to anyone directly in my daily life. I will use them in my heart. It is important for me to express my true feelings in English in order to improve my Egnlsih and use English in my daily life.
I thought I had better use the same words in English as what words I daily use in Japanese in my herat. Recnetly I became a victim of real-estate fraud against my landlord. I use the mediation in a summary court. I got settlement money but not enogh. Meditation is not trial. I didin't have a time to fight with my landlord over long period. So I didn't move to tiral and accepted the settlement. This is why I want to use bad words.
>>50 Almost all Japanese people can't speak English, even uneble to make a hentai conversation in English. So those who chat in English here are winners, I think.
>>68 No. It's correct. This "would" just makes it sound more polite. Ask native speakers.
I'm sorry if you found my comments offensive. Just because I'm a loser doesn't mean you are too. I know you are a winner. In real life and in English. I'm a loser in real life and in English.
You think just because there are a lot more results, the one with the fewer results is wrong? Do you ever come across this expression in real life or anything? I bet you never have come across it even online. lol.
Anyway, I don't want to talk with people who think Google is everything. Any objections? Answer in English.
I heard an-almost-porn novel called Fifty Shades of Grey is erupting in popularity worldwide. It's not still translated into Japanese. I think I can buy it in the original and read it, but Amazon reviews differ from person to person. Some say it's like written by a junior high student withuout any writing skills, some say it's a real page turner, so read it as a mindless entertainment novel. The reason why I'm sitting on a fence is that I don't want to looked dumb reading it. Did anybody here read the book? Or do you have any friends who read it? What did they say about the book? What's your take on the book?
I must add that I'm middle aged. Imagine a middle aged man reading Fifty Shades of Grey...
It's long been said that the best way to improve your English is to have bf/gf from English speaking country, o rif you're a man, to read a porn. So I should give it a shot?
Japanese women live in the kingdom of MoteMote but no native speakers don't want to see a Japanese man. Japanese women's English skill is becoming better and better.
Indeed thats right, been wrote English this thread. By the way I'm nurvous now. I'm grad to heared that can to be go journey at prefecture of Aich. I can to be eat what Hitsumabush.
"Suggest" is one of those words that's quite important in colloquial English but that Japanese schools don't teach much about. That's my understanding.
I'm assuming my preachy tone got on your nerves. I am sorry about that. I didn't mean to preach you or anything.
Bad grammar doesn't bother me at all, by the way. I don't think we have to talk like Americans do. Japanized English is just fine. I'm only interested in discussing something in English. Hope you bring up something.
>>118 I guess she meant, English is an international communication tool for non native English speakers. So weird English is OK as far as he tries his best and makes some sense.
I already have a plot. It's a story of a virtual escort service. All the girls doing outcalls are virtual, like Hatsune Miku, and the pimps are computer geeks. The story ends when one of the johns gets killed by electrocution.
I was said by my members woman, “I’d like to drink with you sometime. Please make a drink party taken place.” But she doesn’t invite me this invitation. She has aimed my fellow worker. I wonder why she doesn't invite him directly. After this, I said to my fellow worker about her invitation. But he doesn’t want to drink with her unfortunately. What should I say to her about this circumstance?
After a long time, I’ve visited to Shinagawa ward Tokyo in order to find my old remembers. I’ve been to there for work about four years before. I left the company and I soon made a decision to resign the company when I wanted to quit. It’s past four years at that time. I’d like to have a look at old working place suddenly. I don’t know why but I really want to go there again. Of course, I know there’s nothing but I’ve ride on a train when I noticed.
It goes without saying there’s nothing around old working places and I didn’t found anything although I walked river side walking road alone. Actually, this walking load is my very important place because I’ve made a decision to quit a company in this walking road as I walked. This load is connected with a big footbridge in a Shinagawa seaside of Yashio region. It’s very beautiful scene from this river side thus I was always looking at there every now and then.
- Sometime, there’re airplanes pass through on my upper air. These are departure from Haneda airport. I was always thinking as I was watching where does that plane will go? Now, I don’t feel regret about my resignation because current my job is so enjoy than old job although salary is lower.
Oops!! Actually, i'm depresson a little bit probably thus i'd like to go there again. but this is really true that current job is good than old !! there're no over working and i don't want to return back old job.
but i recall old time every now and then. these old memories are always torment for me. if possible, i'd like to forget all.
I saw a group of American tourists in front of BIX BOX in Takatanobaba yesterday. Then they were laughing, looking at the building. I was not able to understand why they were laughing at that time. Please tell me the reason they were doing so.
I really dislike China ‘Cause their request to Japan is almost unjust request. I think, Japan can demand them to return back Manchuria to Japan. There’s the Potsdam Declaration after WWII but China’s request to Japan ignores it therefore we can get Manchuria again in return for lost Senkaku islands. OK, we present Senkaku islands instead of Manchuria. China answer, which is an important places Senkaku islands or Manchuria?
>>140 Speaking of loose anus, I recalled "Suberanai Hanashi" by Miyagawa Daisuke, in which he was telling how loose comedian Peace Matayoshi's anus was According to him, Matayoshi's brief is always full of shit.
I've got a English lesson on Skype few minutes ago. But I should've recored the lesson since recorded voice would tell me how awful my speaking English was.
3. "Any guess why they were laughing?" - It is kind of informal, but this is how I would expect a native speaker to ask such a question.
4. "Please tell me the reason they were doing." - The "doing" verb needs to point to another word to sound natural, such as "Doing that," "Doing this," or "Doing so."
>>169 I'm an undergraduate, so I have not graduated yet. I do not major in English literature. If you're curious, I major in Asian Religions and Cultures.
>>163,>>164 I don't think the 'doing so' sounds unnatural, just formal. By contrast, if you put, 'please tell me why they were laughing,' in the context of >>141's post, it would sound unnatural. The sentence independently is perfectly fine, but no native speaker would say 'I didn't understand why they were laughing. Please tell me why they were laughing.' Both sentences are fine, but the combination just sounds wrong because of the repetition of 'laughing'. That's probably why >>141 used 'doing so', and that's exactly the situation in which that phrase is used by native speakers, albeit usually in more formal contexts.
The same goes for, 'Any guess why they were laughing?' I agree with you that it's the most natural of the suggested sentences, if you look at it on its own. But together with the rest of >>141's post it would have sounded weird because of the repetition.
Hey everyone. My name is Aba who is studying English in order to pass the entrance examination of graduate school. Since I am not good at writing English, please correct my sentences if there is a any kind of mistake. Hahaha Nice to meet you guys
>>160 Judging from having corrected my sentence, you got exactly what I meant. I'm content with that. I'm terribly sorry but, I want to improve my senzuri more than my sentence.
I’m always thinking, a language is a way to transmit the will to other therefore language grammar is not the most important. It’s good, if the will can transmit to other. Originally, language is having a lot of dialect. Similarly it’s no problem if there’re some of mistakes.
I had graduated from minore college. But hornesty its just fortune case I can't to describe my atitude. I'd just seach for add its expperience where myself.
>>179 There are a few ways you could rephrase it to sound natural. You could simply remove the end of the second sentence: 'I didn't understand why they were laughing. Please tell me.'
Or you could take out the first sentence entirely, and just say: 'Please tell me why they were laughing.' (Or, 'Why were they laughing?') You don't really need to say that you didn't understand why, because it's implied by the fact that you're asking the question.
You could also switch the two sentences around, and say something like: 'Could you tell me why they were laughing? I didn't understand.'
>>176 I totally agree! That reminds me of a passage from the Zhuangzi... "Words exist because of meaning. Once you've gotten the meaning, you can forget the words. Where can I find a man who has forgotten words so I can talk with him?"
Still, if people would like my input, I'd be happy to help! 英語は難しいです。がんばってね!
>>173 You are 100% right that the repetition is odd, but using "doing so" so quickly after "laughing" is also a kind of repetition.
141's writing is correct English, but here is the passage again, without the repetition that 173 talked about:
I saw a group of American tourists in front of BIX BOX in Takatanobaba yesterday. They were laughing, looking at the building, and I didn't know why. Does anyone know?
Asian people in general don't smell bad like western people, except that Korean smell bad because they eat Kimuch. (no intention of abusing Korea in case you're wondering...)
That's the reason why more western men put on perfume than Japanese man. Japanese men who put on perfume is extremely fashion conscious or gays. I'm neither of them but I sometimes put on perfume because someone gave it to me as a present long before.
I'm oyaji (middle aged) so I give off Oyaji-shu (Oyaji smell, which is caused by hormon balance or something? I get up in the morning and the smell between futons are quite terrible. The smell of Oyaji-shu. I'm not married. I'm wondering if I get married, my wife can put up with the smell. If my wife smelled like that I'd kick her out of futon. lol
I pulled another 14 hr day which is futsu for you guys right? I was driven home by a visually impaired (or on some chemical abusive) taxi driver. He was dressed in all black and had no hair.He had, what looked like a coffin at the back seat. I had to sit at the front. He drove extremely slowly through the eerie, lonely English town, without a word. May be he was a shinigami but it wasn't my time, yet.
>>187 Lots of NEETs in 2chan so if you mean "for NEETS" by "for you guys" then that's not the case. If you mean professionals, or other people who work, then yes. Some people get mentally ill, because of overwork.
You could have taken to a cemetary and been buried there. You could have talk about Turtle Pear with thim. He could have a fan of AKB48...
I meant for those who work. I guess videogaming for NEETs too. Turtle Pear ... I want to talk to Kame-chan himself about his work. Excellent at timing and producing things. How does he manage his time, not sleep at all and still look so BEAUTIFUL. I hornesty think he is extraordinary.
>>186 Oyaji-san you should just clean your room , wash your sheets, do your laundry and to celebrate, go to an onsen. You don't need a wife to make the best of your life!
>>181 I don't really want to argue about it. I just thought our American friend's response had overlooked the reason why 141 had used 'doing so', and I didn't want 141 to get the wrong idea. Rephrasing a sentence to avoid repeating something is quite common in English, and generally speaking it will make you sound more natural. A native speaker probably wouldn't say 'doing so' like that (especially in an informal context like this) but they would absolutely not repeat 'laughing' as was suggested.
Basically nowaday taking part soccer game now. But actually its game taking score less than Brazil team. Probably I swear thats result case soccer origin at Brazil.
Your English reminded me of someone's opinion stated above. He/She insisted that grammar rules are not the most important. It's OK if your will can be transmitted to others. But how can you make sure whether your will was firmly transmitted to others? You cannot decode English sentences correctly without grammar rules. The only thing I can do is to make a rough guess at your will through the meaning of each word connected.
Watch this video. I'm impressed with the way the mom uses her creativity. I learned that art is always around you. You just don't notice it... If you grew up in a culture where an infant sleeps in bed, maybe it's hard to come up with this idea?
>>209 I think you're a bit exaggerated. The object of the photos is only a infant. There are,for sure, some basic rules in human relationships. For example, there is a saying," Don't do unto ohters what you do not want others to do unto you." But infants are generally so self-conscious as to hate being taken photos while they're sleeping.
I didn't know these ideas written in Bible. Actually, I like them. Men should be the masters of women. The woman in this project should be robbed of the means to express her ideas, which is blogging. Just do what the Bible tells women to do. All she has to do is obey her husband and the Bible and shut up.
Have you had heared news of happened events rape of America soldier again. I had amazing it most. Okinawa happened again like its event. Probably they should be learn it. They didn't know befores famous happened history???
>>224 what makes you think that? perhaps she wanted to frighten them, challenge them or give them a job, to make them feel useful. She could have been harmed by them, it was so naive of her. Perhaps she wanted to show that, free of dogmatic beliefs and relying on intellect, she was superior to them.
My recent news about Eiken test I took last Sunday.
As you might remember, I've tried to pass the test of Eiken pre1 grade several times. I've faied to pass it so many times because of listening test!
This time I'm sure I was able to listen to questions easier than before. Um, I can be sure I can pass it.
By the way, I've been removed from list of friends by my university mate on Facebook. I don't know the reason at all. As possible as I guess, he might be angry with certain posts of mine. I'm not sure. But I think nothing is wrong with all my posts on Facebook. He's just misunderstood what I mean. Well, tell the truth, I've got to dislike him recently. So I honestly don't mind at all.
When I met him for the first time, I didn't dislike him at all, rather thought he could be my friend.
However, day by day, I noticed I can't accept him as my friend with his personality. One day, he asked me for a favor. But at the time, I had something to do right now then refused it. Soon, he said "What? No, no, no! Umechi! Please go with me~! You wanna break up friendship?". I replied "No,no! Dude, I don't mean so. I sorry to say I have to go home right now".
In general, people say "Umm, OK. I see all. You can go home right now" then. But he said "Oh, no! Come on! Go with me!" like a spolied kid. That conversation was for about 30 minutes, I think. Well, I noticed then that I can't be friend of him!
Well, that's my life. I have experiences such as happy thing and unhappy things every single day. That's why I don't mind that al all.
By the way, yesterday, when I took a class with him, we had to think about plots for our class' English drama in the classroom. Of course I did thought about it with my group members. When our group's plot was half of consequence, I stared at him in another group. Then I was surprised at him. 'Cause he took a nap, laying his head on his arms on table. "Unbelievable!" I shouted in my mind. No one did took a nap except for him. He's just stupid, out of his head, I thought.
On Facebook, I've blocked him 'cause I don't wanna see his posts anymore. He is completely worthless to be my friend.
I'm very sorry to write these long sentences m(_ _)m
>>228 Umechi-san, life is too short for misunderstandings. Despite your friend's immature behaviour, you should open a channel of communication and try to find out why you have been removed.
If possible invite him for a beer. Tell him that you value friends because despite their young age, they may not be there tomorrow. This is an important experience. Please write here more often and as long as you like.
Hey guys. I can tell you as middle age man. There are not any reasons that you should be friends with incompatible one. It only to stress you out. If you wanna enjoy your life, you should not involve those people.
>>235 Hornestly I cannot find any sexiness in porn. All I see is some mechanical acrobatics lacking sensuality. I cannot relate to your loss. >>237 So he is a believer of that? A meninist?
>>240 It includes headbanger, an abuse or something. No mater how your age, sex, country or something. However it's tough to socialize with a who has a different sense of worth and it only to waste of time.
I have been onakining for 5 days. Fortunately, I am free now and I netiher want nor have a plan to see anyone. I will continue it for a year at least. I will get more husahusa hair.
>>242 You mean you were abused by a heavy metal fan? It depends on the person. I know what you mean regarding sense of values. They are not universal. I am a metalhead too. I would not abuse you.
No way! I'll get you back for this! I've heard somewhere that even Churchill, the former prime minister of the UK, learned English grammer thoroughly from a teacher in his school days. He was well-known as a good speaker in those days and later he talked about the importance of learning grammar rules in his autobiography. If you take it more seriously that even a native speaker put emphasis on grammar, you never use such a word "preach."
>>245 You are willing to destroy my husahusa dream?(´・ω・`) My father is husahusa. I will keep trying. I am still husahusa. But when I water my hair, my head skin emerges clearly. I'm going to get husahusa hair in a year.
French TV's apology pissed me off. They said "We're sorry we hurt the feelings of people in Fukushima" or something to that effect. What's this condescending tone? They should have said instead, "we realized how stupid and how insensitive we were. We don't deserve to be called journalism" The one who hosted the show even snapped back today, “I don’t care how japs would think. They don't know the right to freedom of speech?”
What a nerve. I'm pretty sure he's a f*cking racist.
Professor Yamanaka Shinya, who has got Nobel Prize in physiology or medicine this year, is supposed to get present from minister of education, culture, sports, science and technology Makiko Tanaka.
What he'll get... is a WASHING MACHINE! What the hell!? Washing machine!? Huh?
I'm disappointed at the news. I don't wanna think he did his best for the experiment of iPS cell and got the prize for getting that ridiculous present... I suggest Mr.Yamanaka should require more presents to her. New car, new TV, new mansion, anything he wants.
>>254 Well "you're a bit exaggerating" definitely sounds wrong to me, and I'm a native English speaker. It only makes sense if you interpret 'exaggerating' as an adjective, not a verb.
>>260 It's not a set phrase here in Australia. I guess it's possible it's used in some particular regional dialect of English, but I don't think I have ever heard someone use 'a bit exaggerating' like that. It is definitely not standard English.
>>264 Oh, thank you. I don't know the English title of "燃えよドラゴン." I thought it meant someone must enter the gate of the chrysanthemum shouting "Ah!hhhhhh!"with each other.
>>265 Don't mention it. I'm a big fan of Bruce Lee. If the movie title were the original title ドラゴン登場 when roadshowing in Japan, the film couldn't have been a blockbuster.
The Japanese title made him a legendary superstar, I believe. Bruce Lee owe Japan a lot. The word 燃えよ became 流行語 afterward, you know.
I respect Chinese people as well and want a good relationship with them.
There’re three friends to lodge in a certain hotel together. This hotel room charge is $300. Everyone paid his own share of $100 each. Actually this room charge is $250 therefore hotel manager bring the return money of $50 to them by way of a servant. But a servant steals $20 from part of this money. Accordingly, a servant returns money to them only $30. Three friends divide $10 each. Three friends paid to hotel each $90 per man. ‘Cause $10 is return back per man. To sum up, their total payment is $270. ($90 ×three). And a servant’s steal money is $20. After all, total payment of $270 plus steal money of $20 equals $290. This is difference first payment of $300. Where is a difference of $10?
>>267 >Three friends paid to hotel each $90 per man.‘Cause $10 is return back per man. That's wrong. They three men paid $90 each, but not to the hotel. That figure includes both the hotel fee ($250, so $83.33 each) plus the servant's theft ($20, 7.67 each). So when you say they paid $90 each, you've already counted both the hotel and the servant. Adding another $20 to that makes no sense; you end up counting the servant twice.
The answer is, the servant is a good person because if he didn't steal $ 20,they couldn't divide the money. As the result, they must have fought to death amnong themselves. The servant saved their lives.
>>266 Yes, I liked キョンシー in my childhood. Well, unfortunately, I have never seen his movies. I will add them to the movie list that I am someday to see.
Did you know you must stop in front of blinking red red signal while driving? I am caught by police men and should pay 7000yen by a week. Yeah, I know, it's all my fault.

I for one welcome our new American overlords, and would like to take this opportunity to remind them that because I speak Japanese I could be helpful in rounding up others to toil in their underground sugar caves.
Yeah, I agree with you. Lang 8 is something of a paradise for a native speaker of English who wants to learn Japanese language. Because there are plenty of greedy Japanese in it who aim to learn English for nothing Whenever you write somthing in Japanese and post it, they immediately correct it.
But I have to tell you something. You can't put all of them in one bag because the language ability is, needless to say, different from person to person. If I were you, I would like to learn from a person who have an certain academic background.
>>309 Native speaker also make a lot of mistakes in their chatting. But nobody mind it. Because reader can easily correct these sentences while they are reading it. Are there any necessary to care for mistakes with our session? Absolutely not.
>>310 Native speakers usually make common mistakes by writing like we speak. Spoken and written English are too different thanks to the wide amount of cultures, dialects, and accents using them. We don't usually make the same kind of mistakes as those learning the language. For example, your fourth sentence took me a while to figure out. A native speaker would never make mistakes like that. Native speakers make silly mistakes like incorrectly writing "would of" instead of "would've", mixing up "its" and "it's", and wrongly using punctuation.
If you're still practising English, you should be very wary of mistakes.
>>312 If I could learn English from a native speaker, I would like to learn from you, not>>310 Because even seen from the viewpoints of a beginner like me, his English seem to lack intelligence. lol
>>312 Yeah you're right. and I'm touched your English that is very neat.
However, Japanese, those of leaning English tend to be offensive to someone had made trivial mistakes. And they are also tend to be too scared to make trivial mistakes.
Under such circumstances, we will never improve.
What I want to say are 'Custom makes all things easy' or 'Failure breeds success'.
"Japanese, those of leaning English tend to be offensive to someone had made trivial mistakes" That means they don't understand the learning process. or cannot be bothered to tolerate it. Is it the same for gaijins learning Japanese?
>>315 From what I have seen in 4chans daily japanese threads, everyone is fairly tolerant to mistakes, and more interested in correcting than insulting others.
There are a large number of learners in Japan who can't speak English, though they have been learning it for many years. As the result, they've come to have an inferiority complex toward it, which makes them offensive to others who made grammatical mistakes. So, it does not apply to gaijins learning Japanese.
Japanese language will be 地球標準語 in the 遠い未来。 Because Japanese language can 受け入れる all the languages throuhtout the world and 関係ない 語順。 English language では大統一哲学に到達することはできない。
The above is an entry about Niconico douga, which is video sharing site like Yotube. Long time ago there were people from overseas who are users of Niconico douga in this thread, so I thought the entry might be helpful.
Do you understand what "Satori" is like? Satori is a Buddhist term and can be translated as enlightment or spiritual awakening. The ego consists of what you are intersted in. What you are interested in is, of course, different from person to person. Satori is, in a sense, you are in a state of being interested in everything all over the world. If you could stand at this stage, the ego would disappear, in other words, the ego and the world would be united.
it is worthless effort to try to exploain what the satori is like You cannot understand fully what it is like until you get through it yourself what matters is how to try to avoid getting interfered by words and go into the state in which words mean nothing
It's shockig that mayor Hashimoto's former family name was Hashishita, which means under a bridge. That explains his ancestor was ****. *** is one of Japanese taboos.

Same here! Sun Zi, one of the Chinese thinkers in ancient times said that if you know your enemy, you will win every battle. Of course, in that case, your enemy is TOEIC test. So you need to buy so- called " Toranomaki", reference books related to the test, and study it in advance.
be careful about a trap! if you want to be a man who can watch a english-movies without script, or who can read English-books without dictionary, or something, you must not devote your study to TOEIC.
You will not be able to get those skills without comprehensive study. There're many people who don't have those skill s despite have 950point of TOEIC.
>>337 2ch loves you too, perhaps more hardcore than you would imagine like introducing liquids into the rectum and colon via your anus under a bridge...
Last Tuesday, I bought Taylor Swift's new album, "RED". It's good, beautiful, and marvelous! Well, I'm interested in her "We are never ever getting back together". Because the song has Japanese title, named"私たちは絶対に絶対にヨリを戻したりしない(Watashi tachiwa zettai ni yori wo modoshitari shinai". Isn't it unique, right?
I think it's the very first time that her song has Japanese title and this album is what I wanna recommend all of you!
>>351 I am a middle-aged man. I adimit that there are a lot of good female singers in America. But to my ears, their voices seem to be almost the same kind.
I have never listened to her music seriously but she is such a beautiful woman who captures people's mind, isn't she? although the beauty has nothing to do with her music talent and doesn't make her voice any better or unique
You all know Sir Ishihara is 80 years old. He may fall over before he found a new politics party. Though I'm native JP already scarcely catch what he's saying.
You call him nut? Are you a gaijin? I know he's hated by a lot of gaijins in Japan because of his ultra-right wing views, remarks he made about the disabled, things like that.
Please could the kind Japanese people who post here, recommend me a streaming radio station website that plays smooth, funky Japanese jazz. Thank you very much.
>>361 He sometimes makes controversial remarks for sure, but I think that at least, his attitude towords China is approvable. So if you call him a ultra- right wing, it's because you are a ultra- left wing. Most Japanese tend to be slightly-left wings, which makes Japan an abnormal country.
I don't subscribe to your view that Japan is an "abnormal" country. Ishihara is a right-wing nut by all accounts. Most Japanese don't want the Constituion amended.
You choose from 12 programs. You click one of the rectangulars (shows) and then click the play button upper right, then a popup player opens and a show starts.
It seems like the juzz music played in each 12 show is not limited to Japanese jazz. And in some shows, there are talk parts not limited to playing music alone.
>>368 Hitler wasn't even remotely left wing. His party was called the 'national socialist' party, but it had nothing at all to do with actual 'socialism' as that term is used by the left. He was a fascist.
>>364 The consitution of Japan is called "peace constitution" and most people regard it as what is worth maintaining. But I think it is the principal cause of devastating our country. If you are a human, you must put not peace but your pride as a human first in everything and it applies to a nation.
2ch's people are not right wing but nutural. Those who say they hate Korean are not right wing and racist. Korean alway do many things that Japanese hate.
>>368 What do you mean by " just like Hitler"? His name has become synonymous with Satanist because he commited a mass murder called Holocaust for Jewish people. You mean Ishihara has an idea of ethnic cleansing or something? If so, it is your rediculous accusation for him. Otherwise, Hitler was an able politician because he had reconstructed Germany in such a short time after the defeat of world War 1. I think you just have a mean spirit because you use such a word only for insulting others. In Osaka, some people like you say the same thing to Hashimoto.
>>374 They monitor teachers' mouths to make sure if they are really singing our national anthem at ceremonies. It's just going too far. No wonder people compare him to Hitler. I don't like him. I won't vote for his party.
>>371 There seems to be a bias against the South Korean in their minds. I think first of all, accessable Korean-related sourses on the web tend to be already biased.
>>376 Korean who I have seen till now are all crazy. They cannot have logical thinking. They cannot tell fact from fiction. History is not ficton. It has nothing to do with the freedom of thought and speech. Korean should stop all anti-Japan activities. FIFA should impose severe punishment on them for their appeal about Dokdo Island in the London Olympic.
>>377 Your thought is nothing but an racist's. Their actions reported on TV don't necessarily always indicate their consensus. I believe that you're just joking.
>>373 I can say the same to you. You make a utterly commonplace remark I've heard of here and there. Don't you know what the consitution exists for? After the miserable defeat of World War 2, the Japanese government has had no guts to fight against any countries again. The peace and safety of Japan has been maintained by Japan-U.S security treaty, more specifically by the nuclear umbllera of the U.S.
>>382 I recommend you to read a book titled " Nipponjin no tameno kenpou genron(日本人のための憲法言論)" authored by Komuro Naoki. After reading it, You'll know the answer.
>>383 you should write right here your opinion if any instead of recommending a book within which you can find the answer it seems like your negligence to explain by your own words
>>384 Historically, what is called a consitution came into being in the West for restricting the ability of holders of political powers such as kings. Anyway, I don't want to deal with you anymore
>>385 It is not one side. You don't know what they did in Japan and they have been doning now in Japan. It has nothing to do with whether a bias or not.
>>367 Thank you so much! It has many cool varieties off jazz and talented artists.I listened to it last night and bookmarked it. It was sooooo cold last night. My heart warmed up with this music.
Quite frankly, Netouyo is a prime example of why 2ch is full of NEETs and just plain stupid fucks. They and those who have to argue with them in ways that are equally stupid had better get a job before worrying about Kimches.
As you all know, Halloween come on Oct. 30. Now, I have an assignment related to the event. I have to introduce 2 spooky stories. Scary, strange, mysterious, and ghosts, any story is OK.
So could you mind if I ask you guys "please tell me a spooky story"?
Well, if you don't tell me at all, I'll search for those ALL BY MYSELF.
>>398 I saw two little girls walk on the street. One was skipping and seems happy, but one was crying.
Do you know why?
She scream 'Why Do I have to wear pumpkin head! It's my sister's hand-me-downs! completely uncool!'
Her sister, wearing cute witch costume, laughed and speak to her little sister. 'Hey, it's made by mom and her favorite. Do pretend to prefer it, or we won't be given allowance! I couldn't be given for 3 months because I complained as you do!'
I'm 402 and I spent all Sunday staying at home wasting time on Internet watching adult photos and all. The story makes me smile and regret that I didn't do anthing except watching adult photos and videos on beautiful Sunday. I want to go back to my young days and start my life all over.
>>391 I listen to Oscar Peterson too. But I am after "smooth jazz" from Japan. As opposed to well known jazz musicians. More like the smoothjazz.com genres. Kind of alternative jazz. Even the older musicians have a fresh approach on that channel. Mind you, it sounds more like elevator music.
>>398 Hey Umechi. If it s a well known story you need to write about, why not watch and discuss Donnie Darko? It is kind of spooky in the sense that an intelligent child is surrounded by idiotic adults who are up to no good. He has to make his own philosophy of the meaning of life, love and travel in time to save his loved ones. He actually dies on the 28th of October.
I love writing here with a cup of coffee in my hand on a sunday morning. It is like you sit a coffee table with friends who have just woken up. These oyajis without a family are actually very father -like. they should not dismiss their capability to be important to someone. It is such a shame!
>>411 This is not a place where you feel relaxed over a cup of coffee. This is a place where you stab someone's back or else you'll be stabed in your back instead. This place is too dangerous for kids and women. Only NEETs and real men with balls can survibe here.
>>414 English can't expree my intelligence. My inteeligence goes well only with Japanese language. Japanese language can express any thinking but English cannot.
>>418 not English itself but your inability to speak English makes it impossible to express your thought in English if you don't want to chat with in English, this place is not for you get out of here !! good bye :-)
Mind you, this is a place where you stab or else, being stabbed in the back. Think twice before entering this thread, or you'll be seriouslky injured both mentally and physically for tha matter.
>>419 You don't understand Japanese language is perfect language. English has a wall that it cannot go over. I'm sorry for explaing the reason to you in English A language that is inferior to another language cannot explain it. (上位言語は下位言語の全てを説明できるが、下位言語は上位言語を説明することはできない。)
I watched "Justice with Michaed Sandel." I was disappointed at his thinking and the quality of the students of Harvard. They have nothing on me.
>>424 It's an interesting concept. I guess there's no reason in principle why some languages shouldn't be more expressive than others. But of course most of us grow up speaking one language, so we're always going to be biased in that way. It would be interesting to hear from someone who grew up in a bilingual household, or someone who believes that a second language is more expressive than their first.
This place is about stabbing someone or being stabbed by them. If you prefer lukewarm environment, you'd better get out of here right away and evacuate to Facebook or somwhere.
This place is for real men, tough guys with broad shoulder and thick and hairy chest and big balls, and hairy anus. If you lack in any of them, you can't survive here. If you aren't a man strong enough to surive here, you'd better just keep away from here and just count wrinkles on your balls.
Some woman must be wondering if they can survive here. The answer is yes you can as long as you' have tough mind with iron nipples. Imagine GI Jane. She is much tougher than average Joe and she can survive here.
This is the most entertaining thread ever. I love these tough talking oyajis. I think they are very young at heart and very capable people. Hornesty they should all be given courage to try to do different things in life.
Japan is peace now? No.Japan is in the war time without using arms. Foreigners in Japan should know many things that Korean did and have been doing to Japan in Japan. "I love Japan." Don't make me laugh. You don't know Japan. Your love are fake.
>>439 I couldn't agree with you more. I'm a hardcore real Japanese man. When I'm in line and found a woman ahead of me in line, I pull her of of the line.
>>443 I think it is not the equality of the sexes. Men should not spoil women. Average life expectancy of male(about 79 years old) is lower than those of famale(about 86 years old). Japanese men should get a pension earlier than women.
I'm not talking about your English, I'm talking about the content. and it's not my "objective impression", it's fact, as you said, you don't think you're good at English.
>>453 Are you an oyaji from the manufacturing sector? >>447 I am telling you. NEETs have great potential for being househusbands. Working girls would love to come home to find dinner and a smiling face to greet them. What a great match! Would boost the birth rate immediately!
>>454 It's a bad news for you, in the world, women only can bear their offspring. It's inescapable for women to absent workplace for a long time. Woman bring their offspring what is the naturally rule scene Jesus Christ was born.
>>455 When you take the ratio of absence required to conceive a child, say 2 months of pregrancy stability absence, plus 10 months of recovering from the birth, it is 1/80th of a womans's lifetime. Don't tell me the rest should be spend at home doing nothing.
Men can make great fathers and look after their own kids. A woman would value a house husband more than any men in this world because she would do her best at work knowing her child is in safe hands. By the way I agree that women should work longer and get pension later in life. Simply because we live much longer than you do.
I thought "私は自分の車で通勤する" was "I usually come to the office by my car," but it is wrong. The collect is "I usually come to the office by car." I may come to dislike English. English is very difficult.
Let me poke my nose in but isn't it more natural to say
"I drive to my office" or "I drive to my workplace" "I drive to work" or useing "drive" as a verb.
Wait a minute, maybe you want to emphasize the car you use for commute is your own car, not the car your father or mother you live with owns. In that case, what is the best sentence?
"I usually come to the office by my car." Native speakers may find this kind of odd, but it will make perfect sense to non-native speakers. So it's not much of a problem, I think. It's okay as Globish.
But "the collect" won't make sense even to non-native speakers. You need to spell correctly.
Japanese ABC network - 90% of pachinko parlours are Korean http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8WJ2FFEib6Y "According to the video, 50 percent are owned by South Koreans, 30 to 40 percent are owned by South Koreans. Japanese-owned pachinkos only come to 10 percent."
I think the 10 percent of Japanese-owned pachinkos probably includes naturalized citizens.
I didn't show you the blog as the fist-hand reliable information. If you know more information, you need to read some books written in Japanese. And as for "two names," if you read Japanese newspapers, you can know that the comparison among them shows it is right.
Besides pachinko, real estate, soapland, consumer financing (both legal and illegal), yakiniku, you name it. Many yakuza bigshots are Korean turned Japanese. So are more than 40% of yakuza members, though I'm not really sure if all this is true.
I recommend "manga kenkanryu 4 (マンガ嫌韓流4)." This is manga but there are enough statistical data and specific fact. If you dislike manga, I recommend "韓国・北朝鮮の嘘を見破る―近現代史の争点30."
Oh and lots of celebrities are of Korean origin. Wada Akiko, Saijyo Hideki, Miyako Hibari, Star Nishikino, the list just goes on and on. Wada's father was a Korean yakuza in Osaka.
Until now,I'm play the guitar every day. I feel it fortunate while playing the guitar. But I'm poor at English!! In particular,poor at writing. I can't confidence in these sentence ^^;
>As far as the Japanese show biz world goes, that would definitely be Koreans, >with such actors and singers like Matsuda Yusaku, Star Nishikino, Miyako Harumi, Wada Akiko, >the list seems endless.
>Same goes for pro baseball. Harimoto. Kaneda. Oh is the only player I know from Taiwan. >Just because there are more celebrities does not mean one or the other has contributed more by the way. >One thing for sure is that both have contributed in both good and bad ways. >Korean haters would say they have only contributed in bad ways. I'm not a Korean hater and I don't think so. >Oh by the way, many of the yakuza big shots, both dead and alive, are Korean turned Japanese (Wiki's list is far from being comprehensive). >Wada Akiko's father was a Korean yakuza in Osaka.
>>498 So what regional characteristics do you think he has? >>499 Who do I believe, you or >>498? so confusing. >>500 He is THE master, I am just his disciple.
the bad and evil are mroe sustanable than the good and right the feeling of unhapiness and the worthlessness of the self perpetuately penetrate into the deepest side of human minds the state of happiness is incredibly ease to vanish in a moment only I can do when I am in depression period is just to have patience until the period passes through to live is to endure as it were
>>507 It is very deep impact. You seems to want to say success brocken. Life is drrt, but sometimes glassland. It isn't necessary to polarize the world. I wanted to say success brocken in the steepleshase. So life consists of the three.
>>508 thank you for your advice I don't care whetere I will suceede or not as long as what people call "success" is synomym of rich or fame I am poor, have been poor and probably will keep myself poor, which doesn't matter the Richness is kinda trivial matter for me what I want to have is the self-esteem and the feeling of the worthwhile individual I am not sure what the "worthwhile" individual precisely stands for I seem to have been completely crushed by relentlessly changing my surrounding and never-stable my own emotion
in retrospect I used to think of myself as really mighty person or somebody in my childhood but now I have got some old and realized that I am nobody I guess that all of us should experience this kind of realization in the course of time whenever I see children playing with one another in a park, I cannot but think that maybe he is enjoying the most pleasant and cherishable time
>>509 As long as you keep living, your life goes on and there are two possibilities. One, your life turns around. The other, thing get even worse. You still have a place to live, you have your PC to log in here, but you lose everything. You have no choice but to rely on welfare or become homeless.
It is the society that makes you feel worthless. It is because you think you are worthless that you stop trying. If you live in a metropolitan area try moving to a village and grow your own food. Or rely on wildlife. That way, you will have a better understanding of your existance.
I have means of doing it. I have access to family owned land where I can grow fruits and vegetables. 40 km off the sea, I could go fishing too. Do you like fishing?
The only truth is that we will all get old or handicapped at some stage. There is no guarantee that someone will look after you. Therefore it should be your prime priority to look after yourself first. Meaning, you HAVE to keep fit and be healthy for yourself.
Yesterday evening, to round off a terrible month and a terrible workday, I went to my usual Japanese restaurant for dinner. I was seated next to an Anglo-Japanese married couple. The husband was a gentleman, he helped me place my shopping bags on the seat opposite me. Then when his wife left her seat briefly,I noticed his gaze, which he averted immmediately. So I decided to ask him his opinion about the menu. He gave me some recommendations.
>>521 Said land is not in the UK www. >>522 continued; Then the wife returned. She gave me some recommendations too. He said "goodbye and take care" as they left. He emanated such a good aura. Very manly and positive. The sort of feeling that I felt when I was next to that Todai man long time ago. Not all Japanese men have that feel. Those who do are simply divine.
Let me rant because I'm bored. Remember Yasukuni Shrine? I don't understand why Korea and China make a fuss about the Prime Ministers going there. Aren't they essentially denying Japan's freedom of religion and right in culture? Also why can't the Prime Ministers pay tribute to the soldiers who died protecting the country they serve?
Japanese forgot all, but at the same time we must learn something from history. Histoy is not fiction.
Hiroshima and Nagasaki bomb were acts of genocide. Pearl Herver was not so and we must learn why Japan started the war and why the US wanted to start war. If the U.S think Japan is a friend, they should take sides with Japan with regard to the historic issues between Japan and east Asia. In addition, the U.S. has the duty to protect Japan because they made the 9th article on the Constitution.
Japan themselves can change it? Why can't Japan change it? There are a lot of Korean in Japan that they are doing many anti-Japan activities. Foreign people don't know this domestic matter. Japan cannot do good things for Japan.
If we left these problem behind, in the future the false history would turn out the ture history. In fact, Nanking is regarded as the truth all over the world.
I'm unemployed for years and I try not to be recognized that I am when I go to see a doctor or dentist. What I pay attention most is fashion, I try not to be recognized I'm unemployed by doctor and dentist, try to be neat. (no pun intended) But Maybe they know I'm out of work. There's something like an aura that hints I'm unemployed by them...
Wearing a business suit, you can go outside and eat lunch out.
I made business cards with a name cards making machine at Ueno staion about 5 years ago when I was a Neet. My name card says "○○○独立総合研究センター所長 ○○○ ○○. 東京都○○区○○○〜(my home) telXXX-XXXX-XXXX." I used to eat Ramen with real business men (no conversation) in Tokyo. Once I went to Otemachi(大手町), I ate lunch with "商社マン." I enjoyed hearing their conversation. At that night I cried.
I don't want you to do such a foolish thing You shouldn't make that mistake again.
If you want them think you are an employed person, you should go out and talk to many peoples (not needed friend). Then, you would have confidence and your aura will get much better. I hope you get a job. good luck
A question for English-Japanese translators. Are there no jobs available online? For instance can a company employ you online? Send you the text and you translate and get paid accordingly? What a waste of precious human resources.
>>547 You are wrong. There are many Japanease-English, I call it J-E, translate job as well as English-Japanease, I call it E-J, translate job in Japan. J-E job pay fee 1.5 time higher, so 2/3 of the Japanese translators do both J-E and E-J jobs.
Those translators live range of Okinawa to Hokkaido, maybe USA or something and they have never met translate company officer. Their works finish via only Internet and telephone.
>>545 Thank you very much! You are a kind person but I am not 542 and I cannot speak English well. I used some dictionaries on the Internet. But I must do something for getting a job!
>>550 I don't want you to cry please. You are no different than those businessmen. Whatever might have happened, happened so it is the past as of now. Including the unemployment period. Everyone has problems, no one is perfect. the idea is to build up your confidence again. To find and keep that strength again. That way, you can do anything. I believe you can solve your problems.
Yeah. Just because you are a loser, it doesn't mean you can't make your life better. And even losers have responsibilities. Reponsibility to the society, responsibility to your family, and responsibility to yourself.
Trasnlation companies send files to be translated, and translators get them, translate and submit the files. This process is, in most case, done via Internet.
It's very common that most execellent translators have background of working for a company for some years and through the working expereinces they accumulate expertise of the fields in which they translate about. They sometimes worked as inhouse translators for the comapnay they work for. Translation fees for translation that doesn't require such expertise is low in most cases. Plus, Translation fee itself has been diclining over the years so it's not easy to make ends meet.
When a translation company recruit a translator, they require a few years of translation experience, which Neets don't have. There are some online translation services that don't require translation experience. Thus, there are chances for NEETs to do translation and earn some money if they have a certain level of English proficiency, but translation fees are extremely low for those services. I know it's better than nothing but the amount of money you can earn for such low-paying translation jobs are far less than the amount you need to support yourself financially. These low fee translation job might be for housewives with a certain level of English skills and have bread winner (husband) to make a living.
Hello guys now I am using Siri to post responses on this thread it's really fun for me to do it so yeah I think there will be some errors because of my pronunciation but yeah I'm trying you guys should try to so thank you
>>569 i like l'arc en-ciel whose song name of "Lose control" was used the usa Godzila. but only 5 seconds ....i wish may favorite artist band go to world .!
Obama is from Kenya and his ancestors weren't slaves in US. It's just that he's racially black and his ancestors didn't experience the hardship of slaves in US. That's what makes me feel less impressive with his rise to president. And his mother is white.
I want real nigga whose skin is a lot darker than Obama and whose ansectors are real slaves in Deep sounth plantation and who lived lives of dogs to become US president. Iwant real nigga to be US president whose ancestors live more terrbie lives in Slavery era than those of dogs. Obama is just fake in that respect.
>>589 It unlikely happens forever. Because the U.S pure black population is decreasing day by day due to increasing of interracial marriage and yellow immigration.
>>590 The US national census supports your opinion in regards to the increase of interratial marriage and influx of immigrants. But it's not still common that a nigga get married to white. So even if "REAL" nigga doesn't become US president forever, it's not because of the increase of interratial marriges and immgigrants. It's because no nigga are in a position where they can aim for White House. It's the matter of 人材不足.
Colin Powell was in a good position to aim for US president but he himself didn't have an ambition to become President. And His skin color is not so dark. When a real nigga with real black skin color and slave ancestors like Martin Luther King Jr. or Malcom X become US president, American should be pround of him. Not fake Obama.
A man walked into a doctor’s surgery with a parrot sitting on his shoulder. “What can I do for you?” the doctor asked the man. The parrot said, "Could you please remove this man from my butt?”
“Dad,” asked little George one day, “Why do storks lift one leg when they sleep?” “Well, George,” replied the father, “If they lifted two, they’d fall over.”
There's no English learners who became fluent in English all of a sudden. So I don't like the way you use 得意な奴 that way. There's always tons of efforts to become fluent and you sound like one can become 得意 without any efforts and I don't like it.
It has miracle charity discount time just before closing. Sashimi 200g become 100yen, Bento become 200yen. We are the poor of poor can't live without miracle discount time. Thanks God.

>>665 Kei cars are not necessary eco-friendly compared to compact cars and eco-friendliness hasn't been the reason why kei cars are given tax incentives. As no other countries do not make kei cars, there is no reason which can justify the Japanese government keeping preferable tax measures for kei cars. Japanese automakers are free to make kei cars but not under the protection of the government.
>>680 That is because it is a Japanese rule. The rule is not only for the Japanese car companies. It is applied to the foreign companies as well. Japan don't ban the U.S. from making kei cars.
Since Kei cars' engine is small, the taxes are low. Can you say the same thing about bikes? Do you mean to say that we must not set the taxes according to the difference in the bikes' engine capacities. If the kei cars taxes should go up, owners of them would be trouble. If the kei cars taxes should be abolished, we will not buy the U.S. cars. Kei cars prblem is the Japanese domestic affairs. The U.S. has nothing to do with the matter.
The U.S. should just make kei cars or more attractive normal cars. If the U.S.cars are attractive, Japanese buy them.
Okabe : All your base are... My wife: ...belong to us.
Nuropo is Nurupo. Understanding of this term in English is very difficult. Rintarou Okabe is a 2channeler and he was concerned about a Suzuka's last statement. Under the circumstance, they said it so as to relax himself and English were able to express it. Probably, "All your base are belong to us" is an Internet slang. Of course I don't know the meaning.
>>682 I can see what you are saying, but don't agree. I still don't understand why only kei cars should be protected under an excessively low tax-rate. If the tax-rate is completely proportional to the emission per kilometers, it's reasonable. But why kei car owners should be privileged just choosing tiny cars?
>>683 'All your base are belong to us' is from an English version of Zero Wing, an old Japanese video game. The English translation was terrible, but in a way that seems really funny to native speakers. In the game, the character CATS says: 君達の基地は、全てCATSがいただいた。 This was translated into English as: 'All your base are belong to us.'
You don't understand that Japan alone have the technology of making Kei car. We should be proud of it. A decent kei car is very difficult to make so no other countries can follow Japan.
>>683 I was laughing at what followed... It's not Okarin its Christinaaaa... Zombie.... Cel-7 who is the channer! He makes fun of her, an accomplished researcher browsing 2chan. I wonder if it is 2chan or 2ch. That is what made me laugh. Btw is Christina your "wife"? I know about the "All your base.." thing which was the rage some years ago. Like that dreadful G**tse thing.
I have noticed that the function of spelling check used in inputting in text boxes of Firefox is very convenient while I'm writing English sentences.
When we write a wrong spelling in text boxes in this browser, it displays a red wave line under words in wrong spelling. So we can notice wrong spellings.
But I ofen write abbreviated signs(acronym) of alphabet or discriminative signs of alhphabet. So red wave line is often displayed when I write those signs. I sometimes feel these liens a nuisance.
>>683 NULLPO is a abbreviation of "java.lang.NullPointerException" which is one of messages displayed when abnormal status occurs in Java(a programming language).
It is often written without meaning , such as when we want to start joking around this atmosphere. Also, since they are often seen as an error at run time by a bug in the programming with Java, NullPointerException is often used as a mockery of "things that should not be there" or "things that is not good."
>>686>>691 I didn't know the histories about the sentence and the word. They are very interesting episodes. I learned a lot from you, thank you very much.
>>688 I missed. Nurupo is before 10:29 and I didin't distinguish between 2ch(here) and 2chan(Futaba?). I cannot make out what "G**tse" is with my poor English. Is it a word which is prohibited on radio and television?
It's not prohibited on television or anything. It's not even a real English word. But you must NEVER search for it on the Internet. Seriously. Bad things will happen.
I bought Tobidase Dobutsu no Mori. Those animal characters in game speak so cutely funny and lovely. This is a moment I feel it happy to be born in Japan. 'Cause English doesn't have those many kind of fashions of speaking.
>>702 Oh, don't you know it just urban legend? It's sure American Porno actor's dick is so big. but size of plain people's one is just similar with us.

"one of house of japan of 1900" "one house in japan 1900"
Both sentences is almost same meaning even though, if I would try to translate the first sentences,, I must be read or listen the sentence until the end word "1900" and than upside down all word, where by I can understand to meanig this sentence. But The second sentence can be understood in order,
I think that matter is Japanese grammar mind. And It has been just bothering me. Because I can not talk to somebody in English very well.
What do you think about such a things as the above? What should I do?
>>720 That is a problem with learning any language. You have to learn to think in English, not translate the thought from Japanese into English.
Watch a lot of shows or movies in English and try to think about them in English, not in Japanese. Find a native English speaker to talk with on Skype. Eventually, it will become easy.
>>721 Easier said than done. I'm a hard core NEET and have done whatever I can to improve my English in Japan for years and still I'm far from fluent. I came to a cnclusion that you have to spend in a English-speaking countries as a kid to be fluent in English (a foreign language) in a real sense.
>>683 Generally speakig, the translation is true to the original. As the Japanese replace English with Katakana, English had better introdce more Romaji.
>>728 No one cares such a Japanese Internet Slang. But I think English language is somewhat conservative at the same time. Words live of their own. Around the world are they traveling. And possibly can they marry. I absolutely recommend that English language get married to Japanese language.
>>743 They don't always fail to steal Japanese things.
In "Lucky Star Episode 1(English dub)", "焼肉" was translated into "Korean barbecue," I know only the exapmle about English dub anime, but there might be others.
It's been terrible that I couldn't get into English 2 channel. And only today, I could read you. I'm now listening to NHK singing show whose present singing is Muhoomatsu no isshoo.
Until a few years ago, the common idea among archaeologists was that early human beings began to practice farming because they had no choice. Experts claimed that population growth led people to push some of their group members out of the most productive areas where it was easy to hunt and gather plenty of food from the wild. Living in the poorer edges of environments, according to the old thinkings, these people noticed that seeds of the wild plants often began to grow where they had been thrown away or accidentally dropped. They then realized that planting crops intentionally in these poor areas provide more plentiful and reliable source of food than hunting and collecting wild plants that could be eaten.
As a result, according to the traditional idea, temporary camps in the poor areas developed into permanent settlement. Recent research however, suggests that it did not happen quite that way. Archaeologists now think that agriculture might not have begun just by accident. Instead, it might have begun because early humans did some scientific research. They say that because ancient people had experienced occasional bad years when wild foods were not available, people thought that they should look for ways of making sure that they always had enough food.
So they experienced with particular wild plants , and eventually chose to grow the ones that seemed the best. Archaeologists say now that necessity was not necessarily the mother of the invention of agriculture. Instead, human creative ability was.

>>750 Territorial problems are not for creating the pretended friendship. Korean and Chinese continuse telling many lies about the historical facts. One lie makes many lies. The world must not reverse the International law, order and eshical sense that mankind have struggled to develop.
You are completely irresponsible because you hope the breakdown of order. Korean and Chinese don't have responsibility to the future of human race.
If the FIFA should give him and team some light punishment for their acts, it would be a breakdown of the football culture. Korean always destroy something.
it's not worth talking to fucking sparky. so what should i do? what are we gonna do to him? just lick his wareme as much as we can in front of audience.
>>780 Momotoro, how cowardly you are! Because you can never fight with me one-on-one. You are always backed up by your servants such as dogs, monkeys and pheasants. Come alone, and I'll beat you any time!

>>806 Yes, I live in Australia. I am trying to learn Japanese but my progress is slow. This thread caught my eye for obvious reasons. I can help with English problems for a while if you wish.
>>820 If you don't mind waiting in line for an hour or so, how about visiting Tokyo Sky Tree which is the newest & tallest tower in Tokyo shitamachi district. (assuming you're coming to Tokyo)
>>821 I live in Tokyo, and my lover in Niigata, She also said Niigata has been a very cold. But here is not so cold. Especially today. Though cold my heart and my lower body.
I didn't know ”やってむり." I thought "やってむり" was "I tryed only to fail," but I didn't understand the meaning, so I changed "むり"into "みた" without permission.
>>825 It's nice to live in a gorgeous card board box there. I want to build such a house with 30 cm thick walls of card board. Probably, it's superior for keeping the inside warm, if you have a stove in the house. But, as it is easy to burn, I recommend you to take care not to turn down the stove. Besides, I'm worried about rain making your house wet. Anyway, the cardboard house is reasonable, so I hope anyone will build it for themselves.
>>828 He don't have plan to open it and I won't work under him. But I'm doing some things to make myself indepedent. I'm truly grateful to my bother. Time is so veluable. I don't care if people say it is a dependence that makes me dull.
I am not a Sensei. I have never watched dramas since my birth. I cannot know how sad or impressive that scene were and whether he ate pickles or not. If you are not a normal, you should change the world and make a new world. You can be a normal person in the new world.
Of course, I will make a time leap and move into a new worldline where chickens are real chickens, wasabi are real wasabi and all your bases are baseless.
Make a low that said if you don't cry when you see a man eating pickles in a Japanese drama, you will face a week of imprisonment or be fined not more than 100,000 yen.
>>853 I don't think so. He has some, but not much. BTW I cannot see th elink anymore. >>854 You have tyrant tendencies. I am fine with the fines. Pick your pickle. Then cry me an ocean. >>858 Basically, I'm a floating voter, so I haven't decided which party to choose yet. But there is one thing that is crytal clear at the moment, which is, needless to say, I'll never vote for any candidates from the Democratic Party of Japan.
Speaking of Tokyo Sky Tree, I once heard that the snow which had accumulated on it turned into clumps of ice and fell to the ground. They say the ice gorge sometimes hit the roofs of houses around the area directly, and so it was dangerous that a warning was issued. What has become of the matter?
>>860 The martial arts I practise is non-confrontational and uses the opponent's energy to pacify them. I don't kick people out of the blue. I simply take over the mind of the attacker.
Whenever I hear the news about athletes's suicide, I'm confused. They put time and energy to reach a high level of perfromance. Naturally, their mental is strengthened over the course of reaching the level. Still they commit a suicide. Is that because their mental is weak? I'm like, Bookwarms, geeks with thick glasses who don't commit a suicide have stronger mental than those athelets?
On a related note, a person who used to be japan chanpion in Kendo championship was arrested because of obsenity charge or something where he demanded erotic photos from a high school girl. He demanded she send those photos to his cellphone. Kendo, one of Japanese martial arts is supposed to strengthen mind. But what he did was quite opposite. He was a policeman when arrested. Every time I read this type of news, I can't help but thinking what good effect doing sports has as generally claimed.
>>882 Yes, that's him. The Wikipedia entry says he quit a policeman although he wasn't forced to do so. I wonder he can get a job. Welcome to NEET club.
>>881 It is not confined only to people who play Kendo, but Judo also. I think that the court of the case of Uchishiba, who won the gold medal in a olympic game, having raped a student in a university for which he worked was held before, and then, another student was said to have told police about him raping her as well. From these, he might have been a monster of lust.
This is exactly why I emphasised "non-confrontational" . Martial Arts like Kendo, Judo are all about confronting others. Kendo especially brings out the agressor in you. In Shin shin toitsu Aikido, you don't confront anyone who attacks you. You recognise your opponent, respect his existence but lead him to a situation that drowns him in his agressive energy. When he falls he won't know what happened to him.
If you train someone to have good mind-body coordination, it gives them a level of confidence which makes them feel too powerful. An ignorant mind, when trained in Matial Arts is likely to resort to violence. You need to train them in recognising their own and other people's energies, so that they can understand themselseves and others better, and may channel anger in a positive way. Instead of resorting to violence, you learn how to convince people.
I don't like a some kiind of people who say they dislike a match. They mostly cannot win a match or they are not young. They are making excuses. They think they are great because they do a Budo. Strong Kendo-ka's never say so and value both a match and Budo.
Sports in general, not to mention Japanese Martial arts is considered to be something that strengthen mental in Japan. But in Western countries, especially USA they don't buy the idea. For American Sports is something you enjoy. That's why "PLay" as in play baseball is used as a verb. Baseball and Yakyuu (Japanese word for baseball) might be two different sports.
WBC (World Baseball Classic) has to be the most importand championship for baseball, like World Cup for succor. But sad to say, it's not. Japanese players who play in MLB (Major League Baseball) so far turned down the offer to be a member of Japan's national team, because they prioritize preparation for MLB's regular season. This is rediculous.
Brazilian soccer players who play in European professional leagues such as Serie A turn down the offer to become their national team member for Wrold Cup? Definately NO!
The managers of MLB teams where Japanese players play are negative about letting them play in WBC because those managers want the Japanese players to be well-prepared for MLB regular season. OH man! Are they serious about poularizing baseball in world cale?
>>895 I heard that there is some problems in the constituent itself who holds WBC. Players' rejection to attend WBC might not be to be put blame on them.
I made a parody song on Facebook. What do you think about my parody?

In English we often use the word 'complexion' to refer to the colour of someone's face. So you could say, 'He/she has a dark complexion.'
You could also use the word 'swarthy', which refers specifically to the colour of someone's face. For example, 'He looks swarthy,' or 'She has a swarthy complexion.'
>>911 I'm not 909 but It's difficult to explain what 顔が濃い means. It's not the color of skin. Japanese or Asian people's face is plain compared to Western people. Western people are more 顔が濃い than Asian so to speak. The most 顔が濃い tribe, I'd say is Arabic or Indian. I'd say thick eyebrows, big eyes with double folded eyelids are the characteristics of 顔が濃い among others.
>>914 >So it's about a person's facial features? Yeah, the combination of each parts of one's face gives you the impression that person A is 顔が濃い or not。 阿部寛、石原良純、平井堅、ルー大柴 are all in the 顔が濃い category. These four man aren't 顔が濃い on western standard I guess.
Off the top my head, I'd say, actor, Colin Farrell and George Clooney are 顔が濃い although maybe almost all Western people are 顔が濃い on Asian standard, I'd say.
>In English you could say that someone has 'strong features' or 'bold features' Oh, I see. Thank you for the input!
Hi guys. I came across the sentence that said "In nuclear attacks, saturation bombings, and other such pleasant fun and games, ..." in an English workbook. It is the example sentence of the words "annihilate".
Are nuclear attackes plesant and fun? I was disgusted. Do you think the sentence is appropriate? Or, did I misunderstand the sentence?
I am here . Off sick today. Cant stand up much. So this will be brief. yes neutralization of an attack looks like a dance. There is nothing wrong with that if it works. Rather than how it "looks like" i'd suggest you look into understanding Aiki-jūjutsu, in which Aikido exists. hundreds of years of samurai warfare knowledge is embodied in it. I cannot understanD how the "ability to read attacker's mind and act before he does" is "idiotic". Can you explain it to me?
It's sarcasm. The author describes those things as 'pleasant' because they are not. It sounds a little stupid when you say it like that, but it's quite common in English. You have to look at the context to see what someone is really trying to say.
For example, if it is raining heavily, I might say to someone 'Nice weather, isn't it?' What I really mean is, 'this is terrible weather', but I can say the opposite and still be understood. The other person knows that it's raining, so they know I don't really mean that it's 'nice weather'.
Your sentence is the same. The literal meaning is that nuclear attacks are 'pleasant', but that is not what the author is actually saying.
>>922 I hope you'll get better soon. As long as you're here, you always have virtual shoulders to lean on.
>>924 Let's say I go out with a girl from an English-speaking country. What if I say to her "your c*unt smells really nice" when having sex for the first time with her? she would get furious, taking it as the exact opposite?
>>933 I guess probably 'pussy'. 'Vagina' is the correct term, but it would seem a bit formal to use it during sex.
'Cunt' is probably the most offensive word in the English language. When I was a kid, it was the only word that no one ever said on TV or in movies. It's a bit different now, but there are still some people who would be really upset if you said it.
>>934 Thank you. Vagina is more like a medical term to me. And cunt is what British people prefer to use, although I think I'm wrong about it. I never thought it is offensive. I don't think I'll have a chance to have gf from English speaking country, but I'll keep in mind not to use it in bed with her. "Your pussy smells really nice and this is not sarcasm. I mean it!"
I have a difficulty speaking English. I don't know whether you understand what I'm saying. The last time I learned English is about four years ago. I have forgotten almost all I learned in school. I am losing my memory of English day by day. Oh noooo. Help meeeeeeeee.
>924 Thank you very much for your explaining, I completely understand. It was very difficult to realize sarcasm because the sentence is very short and has no context. I would realize it if it was a scene in a movie though I don't "feel English" yet. I'm relieved and I'll go on to brush my vocabularies up with the book. Again, thank you!
hm.. I'm afraid saying this, but i just wanna say to all, wanna "lick oppai as much as i can." this is not just horny comment to ruin this thread. just a desire as a man .any ideas?
I think whatever they say, they have the right to say so. It's because any history is a fiction based on the fact. Only God know the fact and human beings never know but they are so arrogant enough to think that they can grasp it. Actually, ther are a lot of interpretations from the standpoint of various aspects.
My ex-girlfriend always asked me in a bed to run my finger across her clit**** while sucking her one oppai. She was always pleased. Oppai won't exist only for babies.
>>955 Your mouth to nipples and your right hand to clit... You're still amateurish... Don't let your left fingers laze around. Let them stimulate her anus.
>>956 Anus is not for that sort of thing. Once you touch it, your fingers become dity. If you were to touch her mouth with the fingers... Sure, I was still amateurish, but I cared about her.
Oh my god You never know girls don't feel good by touching her anus? Only men feel good because only men has Zenritsusen. I thought it common sense wow..
>>931 I agree but you also need to act before the seme does. >>932 Hapkido may have Aiki-jūjutsu roots but it is confrontational. Complete anti-thesis of Aikido.
I've never imagined what the fixed handling name holders here are like. I thought KG was a Japanese Johnny's fun girl, studying abroad. The Internet is a scary place. A post here may develop into a diplomatic problem sometime.
"... cunning linguists, stupid fan girls of Johnny's Boys, Touhou pirates, and..." please read the intro to this thread above. I am the stupid fangirl. I am not Japanese. Btw I am KG2ch.
There are no problems in particular. I 'm just being afraid of any diplomatic problem. Little problems to Japanese can be a declaration of war to people in other countries.
971 means that we should treat KameGirl nice. If we treat KameGirl bad, it can lead to diplomatic problem between Japan and where you are from, which is Portugal or Mars or whatever. That's what 971 meant.
>>978 You have the same problem? I thought it's because I posted a long series of posts in another thread so, 2chan is punishing me by prohibiting me to copy and paste a link.
>>990 separate them if possible and make them go outside separately. Even if one moves to balcony is good enough separation. Let them calm down and think. Tell them separately that they can take their time. They have the whole time in the world.
Will a new thread come? If you watch several episodes of Un-Go while running a fever, it gets more and more interesting. I watched Stein's Gate, Psycho Pass etc but Un-Go is exceptionally good. Episodes 8-9 compare with Ergo Proxy. there is YunKouga touch in it, it has to be good. Well, who will deal the final blow then?
