Hey!!! All you NEETs, nerds, YouTube link spammers, pedophiles, neo-Nazis, Yukorin enthusiasts, Nanako SOS admirers, Part-Time-Preachers, Diplomats' spoiled sons, losers who can't remember Kanji characters, Big-boobs fans, Weeaboo from around the world, learners of Japanese who are too lazy to update their Japanese blogs very often, cunning linguists, stupid fan girls of Johnny's Boys, Touhou pirates, and that electrical super-gay who suffers from mental disease - This is your thread! Let's hope Igirisu-jin and the Internet-addicted housewife will come back soon!
This is the place to have a blast!!!!! Let's continue to support recovery efforts in Japan!!!!!
Thanks japanese judow wresler woman what brought us Gold medal. We have to remember that you spent enthusiastic courage!! We can proud it. Her name is Matsumoto!!
I THOUGHT THIS THREAD WAS GONE FOR EVER. I felt an emptiness in my heart. I am also supposed to get hurt by someone's indirect insult too, but I won't confront or internalise their neurotic aggression.

I've finished reading a classic novel titled "Crime and Punishment" authored by Fyodor Mikhaylovich Dostoevskiy. To be honest, I have nothing to say about it because I'm not so educated as to appreciate such kind of novels properly. All I can say is that Rossians' names were so long and complicated that I almost bit my tougue.
>>17 Crime and Punishment is pretty difficult. If you want to read a simpler book by Dostoevsky, 'The Gambler' is easier, and a lot more straightforward. Or if you just want to read Russian literature in general, Nikolai Gogol is my personal favorite.
>>23 You sound like a book worm. I mean 読書家 Then I'll read the books you recommend. Thanks a lot! Frankly speaking, I don't read novels so often. I usually read books on philosophy or something. My dream is to acquire a high level of English proficiency so that I can read the English version of the Critique of Pure Reason by Kant Immanuel.
I'll recomend what had read some books!! They had brush up my life. But hornesty their book seem so cruel. Its like a murders event. So too much weird enough. But to realize that lifes harder. Thats books be called That “SAW”. Its so feared enough!!
In fact, I had been got mistake what to chose word at befores sentence. No brush up please use be couraged. Sorry my mistake. But hornesty its sentence so past, have you remember that??
Its seem no sence anymore. Please pass throught its my comment. Guess what・・, I'm boring what you did described reply my opinion that. How often should I described what you described answer and same thing. Are you satisfaction?

>>62, 64 I don't understand what you want to express. Why do you keep making the same mistakes for many months? I bet you haven't either tried to improve your English or studied English. Even without name, I know who you are. Hide.
Maybe its case that my usual life is using all japanese. But hornesty use few English. And I'm sometime burst in to fall down somewheres floor. I have sometime 立ち眩み in fact.
>>Hide I still don't understand if you have a time to use English in your daily life because you said but and few.
If you don't want to study English, you don't need to read following posts. If you want to use your current English to improve it, you should go to other native websites such as 4chan. This place doesn't give you many.
Almost all people make mistakes in using English therefore making mistake isn't a wrong thing. However you need to take pains to improve both your English grammer skill and words. I really want to recommend you to read very basic English textbooks for Junior-High students but if you have confidence you can read books for High school students, this book can be a good book to you. www.amazon.co.jp/dp/4342010402/

>>103 Don't worry, I'm not offended at all. It's true gay people love musicals. At first I wondered why you knew I was gay. But you didn't. It's funny.
speaking of gay, I like watching gay themed movies. Many of them are masterpieces. For example, Gods and Monsters,Farewell My Concubine, Maurice, The Crying Game, and more. Is there anything that you would recommend?
>>106 I would definitely recommend these two movies.
One is "Brokeback Mountain". It's about love that's not supposed to be there. Like "The Bridges of Madison County". You'd also enjoy beautiful scenery.
And "My Own Private Idaho". Starring River Phoenix and Keanu Reeves. They played naughty guys. But I saw pureness in their dirty lives.
I am not good at talking . even in Japanese. how do i get through this problem? I still remember the time I first noticed that i was like a bug when talking.
I will never get used to talking .I don't wanna have the opportunity to meet any human .
I saw one unforgettable movie, Secret Sunshine (Milyang)by Chan-dong Lee (Korea). She lost her husband and moved to the new town where his husband was born but the another tragic event happened after she settled down. Her only son was kidnapped and killed. The story is about her healing process. Of course she'd never healed but for a while she was healed by religion but another cruel moment was when she'd decided to forgive the murderer and visited the prison, the murderer ironically seemed that he got well claiming that he was healed by religion as well and shamelessly confessed that he had been forgiven by god....that moment was the time she felt the helplessness of religion and became so against it.
This movie was really fantastic! Especially I was so inspired by Chan-dong Lee's way on how he expressed about religion; how it is cruel when it comes to the victim's family side. Once victim's family was liberated from the murder and decided to forgive him, maybe it is justifiable but what if the victim's side won't forgive the murderer and only murderer was relieved by religion...so unfair...
I wanna fuck the hot pussy in bikini on beach. but fuckin Exile-like fagots are always near the hot pussies. and too many men put Yakuza-like tattoo in their body. they are real fagots. they are not actually Yakuza. but maybe they pretend to be that they're Yakuza.

I think that "Kaine" is the strongest woman in China although she has a thin figure. What do you think of "Kaine"?
Kaine is stronger than Riboku. Kaine is stronger than Ouki. Kaine is stronger than Houken. Kaine is stronger than Shinn. And...Kaine is stronger than large force of 400,000 soldiers.
>>138 She says she's from Venus, but I think She's from Portugal or Spain. The reason why? I'm annoyed with the Saimoe contest. For the last two years, all overseas votes are banned. Only Japanese are permitted. But they don't even say this, instead the message says "Try again later", like there's some chance of you being able to vote. Why not just say "GAIJIN GO AND DIE!" or "YANKEE GO HOME!" or something like that? If you're going to be a racist at least you should say so openly and stand up for your beliefs.
In the fall we are going to run our touhou moe contest again. If I were to block all non-American voters I would be called a racist and a jingoist, and it would be a crime. But when the Japanese block all non-Japanese, that's somehow OK.
I don't understand why this is so, but I want to complain about it on the internet.

The boys in blue pulled her over and asked for a long time what she had done. First she wouldn't face the music and tried to stay away from that situation. Twenty minutes later.... Finally she came clean about how fast she was going to drive. And she got a ticket to the hell.
>>336 >Finally she came clean about how fast she was going to drive. This means that she told the police how fast she intended to drive in the future. If you want to say that she told them how fast she was driving before they pulled her over, then you can say that she came clean about 'how fast she was going' or 'how fast she was driving'.
>And she got a ticket to the hell. You don't use an article for 'hell'. Also, 'ticket' has two meanings. It can be a permission to go somewhere or do something (a concert ticket, a train ticket) or it can be a fine you have to pay for breaking the law (parking ticket, speeding ticket). 'Ticket to hell' suggests the first meaning; it's a ticket that allows you to go to hell. A better expression here would be 'a ticket from hell', which means that it's a fine so terrible it must have come from hell. 'A [something] from hell' is a common expression in English. Note that the use of 'ticket' to mean a penalty is specific to America. Here in Australia we would call it a 'fine' (technically the one you get for speeding is an 'expiation notice' but no one calls it that).
>>341 Yeah, I've seen a few people saying that on this website. Most Australians don't really speak like that though. At least that's not how it sounds to me. There are sort of three accents in Australia, 'broad', 'general' and 'cultivated'. If you watch this clip from 'Welcher & Welcher', you'll see examples of all three: http://youtu.be/Y18dLR4OvHk The barrister (the man wearing a black gown) is speaking cultivated Australian English, the other lawyer (woman with dark hair) is speaking general Australian English, and the others are speaking broad Australian English.
>>342 Thanks to your detailed information , I became a bit closer to a knowldgeable man. By the way, I have another question to ask you. I've learned from a TV program that Australians keep farther social distance( than us) together when they have a chat with someone. Is that true?
>>346 You mean like, how far away we stand when talking to someone? I couldn't really say. I've always lived in Australia, so I don't have anything to compare with. But also I think it varies quite a lot between people, even within Australia.
>>347 Sorry for asking you a strange thing! Social distance is a psychological term, so it has a certain definition. I didn't remember exactly what the concept 対人距離 is called in English, so googled it. According to Wikipedia, it is called "interpersonal distance", which can be divided into four categories; intimate distance, personal space, social distance and public distance.
I heard an Australian guy, who has been living in Japan for some years, talk about social distance when I was watching a TV program. His episode impressed me so much that I recalled it when I was writing to you. It was a story about when he returned home in ages. He chanced upon an old friend on a street corner and began a conversation with him(his friend) after a while, he noticed his friend step backward a pace or two, which made him realize that his friend had felt uncomfortable about the distance between them. Needless to say, without knowing it, he kept a social distance suitable for the Japanese.
At the time, I got intersted in what he said and searched for clues...

>>384 Since a certain DQN started to keep posting his broken English, this thread keep devastating. Some people told him that he should learn basic grammar first but he refused and has still keep posting as you can see.
Who wants to post to the place it doesn't work properly and the place we can't have a conversation. I don't think he's realized this situation.
Go to other bulletin boards if you want to have a convesation with natives or who can speak English. This place hurts your English. I don't know if this thread can revive but you know, it never happens until the hitch is removed.
>>384 I'm from America. I can't read Japanese at all, lol. There's another poster where who is European, I think.
>>389 I don't see it as that bad. You have to start somewhere, and if broken English is all you have, use it. The more you use it, the more proficient you will get. (Provided you are trying to improve anyway) You won't properly learn English just by sitting around and studying books. It's not possible. Humans don't learn that way. Humans (and most other creatures) learn by doing or observing something.
>>396 I'm afraid I guess "sitting around and studying books"mean the way not willingly communicate with someone and only learning English by reading books.
>>395 I don't know how old you are, how educated you are, but do American sudents talk about if they are republican or democrat in daily conversation?
I mean, I watch American news to improve Listening skill and all American media reports now is Repulican and Democrat convention. So the quesion poped in my mind. "An average American high schoolers or uni students talk about which party they support for the upcoming Presidential election in daily conversation?" Maybe only intelligent students talk about it?
I don't like posh snobby atomosphere Romney has so I'd vote democrat, hence Obama if I were an American citizen. Romney is an epitome of Rich white American (maybe WASP) who are in favor of Rich people in terms of Tax, so as a poor man myself, I hate him.
>>395 Even without basic grammatical knowledge and without any intention to study it? I think that's a matter of place. He made an excuse that he was Yutori, and never try to correct the bad points others pointed out. How that can be an excuse? That's not because of being Yutori but himself. There are many Yutori who can write English according to grammar and are striving to improve their English. He's not only Yutori but DQN.
You sounds like even if that makes this thread devastating, you don't care"
I'm not saying that only those who can write perfect English are allowed to write here.
Since you said that I leave this thread to you. Good luck.
Devastating ? I think your comment sounds a bit exaggerated. Of course, I don't mean to say a word for him, though. Do you think it would be better if he disappeard from this thread? I don't think so. This thread has been a "devastated" site since time immemorial. I assure you because I've been a regular user for about ten years. His English is so distinctive that anyone can identify him as the same poster whenever he posts. In other words, his English plays a role like a fixed handle name, which means it is likely that he is a target of attack.

>>397 Yeah, I meant reading alone with no practice. At some point you have to use what you are learning. Books can give you an initial head start, but you can't reach proficiency from that alone.
>> 398 I'm in my early 30s and graduated high school. I didn't go to college because my family was too poor to afford it, and I was denied a student loan. When I was attending school, most students did not think or talk about politics. This has likely changed as political division continues to split the country, pushing the issue into the foreground.
>>403 I wrote "Provided you are trying to improve anyway". People with no intention of learning are no better than trolls and waste everyone's time. But you can't surrender the thread to them. If you make another thread they just come there and crap that one up too. The best thing to do is ignore them. Those sort of people make problems just because it causes people to pay attention to them. If you ignore them totally they will eventually leave and find someone else who reacts to them.

For the first time in a long while I watched Nanshiki globe singing " I'm fall in' DNA' on you tube. Nanshiki globe was an amateur rap group which consisted of Koike and Park Manser. At the time when a program titled " Gako he iko" was televised, I was a big fan of them. Koike was my type but disappointingly, I heard she got married to someone.
I'm the same kind as the guy discribed by Park, that is " Aho dayo! sorega doushita!"
Its comment I could had recognized case I had said to customer. I had got mistake. So please fired me what do it again. Because they have been treat me like a fool. So its seem pain to serve it.
I wanna just benefit. But they can't recognized just it. I'm tired that working at it. And Moreover they said perform like a indeed disability. Its burst into laugh enough!!
>>453 I'm not a Christian but sometimes read an English version of the Bible. I think it's a treasure house of wisdom or a compass for voyage, showing me how I should lead my life.
Ask,and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; to him who knocks, it will be opened.
>>459 There are problems, I think, with the idea that 'he who seeks finds'. It suggests that if people aren't doing well, it must be their own fault. The corollary of 'he who seeks finds' is 'he who doesn't find, doesn't seek'. Try telling that to someone who's starving or homeless. No food? You must not have asked for any, because if you ask you will receive. Right?
Don't get me wrong; there is surely some wisdom in the bible. You can find wisdom in anything if you look hard enough. But you have to sift through an awful lot of bullshit to get there.
>>461 Sorry, sir. I've interpreted the passage only from a metaphysical point of view because I live in a world where you don't have to worry about food if you are diligent. In addition,I'm fully aware that there are many things I cannot do how matter how much I make an effort. Still, I'm convinced that the passage of the gospel Mattew tells the truth. If you seek something, you'll surely find it or something different from original.
>>462 The problem is the degree of certainty the passage contains. It is definitely a good idea to go after what you want. It improves your chances. All things being equal, he who seeks is more likely to find. So go ahead and seek. But there's no guarantee. You can seek, and yet find nothing. There is no cosmic force that will ensure your endeavours are rewarded. Some people pursue a goal diligently and never achieve it. To suggest that diligence alone is sufficient, is to dismiss the efforts of such people.
I think it depends on the definition of being foolish whether they are so as >>465 says or not. Seen from academic skills, it can be said that women are as a whole inferior to men. On the other hand, it seems to me that women generally have better sixth sense than the one men have.
I totally agree with you. Depression used to be regarded as a mental disease but I've heard that you can get over it by taking some medicine. That is to say, there is a possibility that depression is caused by malfunction of the brain, which means it is a physical disease.
It has the same shape as an apostrophe or single closing quotation mark in many typefaces, but it differs from them in being placed on the baseline of the text.
To give just one example, keirin racer Tejima Keisuke killed himself in 200X. He was taking the antidepressant regularly. He was among the top racers and earned nearly one million dollars each year, so his premature death (in his early 30s) didn't make much sense. Most of the comments on the web at the time singled out the antidepressant he's taking as the cause and he was seen as another victim of the greedy pharmaceutical industry. RIP Tejima.
>>480 It's true that some people taking antidepressants commit suicide. But people receiving treatment for depression are much less likely to commit suicide, compared with depressed people who receive no treatment at all.
In any case, medication is not the only option for treatment. For some people, changes to diet and regular exercise can be very helpful. Cognitive behavioural therapy is also an option for many people with depression. The important thing is for people to talk to a professional, so they can find the right treatment for them.
>>483 Maybe you have a point there. But I would say seeing a shrink will only make matters worse. I'm saying this from my experience. To be absolutely honest I thought they should see a shrink themselves.
It's too bad that Japanese psychiatrists don't like metalism( I don't know the formal technical term). They aren't a doctor but a seller about medicine.
>>483 My sister has a friend in jail right now for a crime committed while on anti-depressants. His parents had him taken to a psychiatric ward because they were upset with his decisions and thought that if he were placed on psychiatric drugs, he would be more obedient to them. They bribed the doctor to write a prescription and he was forced to take the drugs, then released without observation. Only a few hours later he had a psychiatric episode and violently attacked his girlfriend at a grocery store, beating her so severely she went into cardiac arrest and was resuscitated by paramedics. The police took him to jail and he was charged with attempted murder. The next day when he woke up, he had no memory of the incident. He had no idea where he was or how he got there. His case is pending and he may be sentenced to many years imprisonment. The doctor is not charged with any crime.
>>489 I'm very sorry to hear that. For a doctor to abuse their position of trust in this way is absolutely outrageous. And in any case, the system should have safeguards in place to prevent such incidents. It seems there are some fundamental problems with the mental health system over there.
I don't really know how it works in Japan, but here in Australia you can choose to see a clinical psychologist instead of a psychiatrist. Psychologists are not medical doctors, and so they cannot prescribe any kind of medication. If you're having trouble with depression a clinical psychologist will try and help using techniques like therapy and examining your lifestyle to see what sort of positive changes you can make. For many people with moderate cases of depression, those techniques work better than medication. Is there a service like that in Japan?
>>494 Yes, I think the situation and the diffierence in roles between clinical psychologists and psychiatrists are the same with that of your country, too.
Yesterday was 9/11, when the terrorist attack happened. I heard a book about the hunt for Osama Bin Ladyn has hit the shelves and makeing controvercy, because the book includes confidentialo information about US security.
I'm sorry・・・. I did broke out trouble often・・. I own brought up experiences to my families. Especially my mother had been encouraged during killed her own soul. So I wanna to pay back work for my families. But sadly she had dead case cancer・・. Its remind that too many memories. So I have to work it out.
I remember there used to be a thread titled "Ask native speakers of English" or something like that. I actually got a lot of help there and that helped immensely with my understanding of English. Anyone willing to start it up again? I can't create a thread.
>>511 Hi. Here I am but I'm gonna hit the sack now. It's before 3am now in Japan. Before I go, I'll tell you something. You don't have to bother to type your email addy to post. You can leave the field blank.
Probably, this thread be called that “chat in English” don't you?? So enjoy to chat in English. Not only native speakers thread. Someones thought about it weird.
>>521 While transmigrating through the six paths There's no one for company; Alone we are born, alone we die: Full of sorrows this road of birth-and-death.
>>523 English is my native language. But I have to admit, I didn't actually write that translation myself. I tried to translate it first, but I had trouble with the Japanese. So I just found a translation on the Internet.
>>524 No wonder it felt like a sophisticated translation. lol The Waka poem inclues some ancient words, so if you have not learned them, it may be a bit difficult to translate. In fact, I have no idea whether it belongs to Waka poetry or not, though. Because generally, Waka consists of a 5-7-5-7-7 syllabic structure.
>>525 It's difficult to say how I feel about it. I mean, I don't think I really understand what 六道輪廻 means, for a start. But I think it's true that people are alone, in some fundamental sense.
>>527 The concept六道輪廻 is derived from ancient India. Upanisad is a world-old book on philosophy of religion, in which there is an idea that the soul rebirth again and again within (among ?) six worlds. In short, it is called metempsychosis. With my English ability, it is very tough to explain to you, so I give up!!
Please don't be disapoint me anymore. Recently came customer something like weird. I have felt tired enough・・. Suddenly weirder treat me like cheating me. I really felt tired accepted them.
>>519 Hi, sorry to butt in. I think reading online forums in the US or elsewhere will help. It doesn't cost you a dime. Text books don't help much, particularly those written by Japanese people. I would venture the first step for you to take would be to throw away the text books you might have used for college entrance exams. From what I've seen here so far, they seem to be doing more harm than good to Japanese writing English.
Finding online forums is easy. Just enter any keyword(s) you might be interested in plus "forum" and google them. Good luck.
My strategy for mastering English is to build active vocabulary as much as possible. Active bocabulary means the bocabulary that you are actually able to use. So I make it a habit to write plain English sentnces every day.
I don't mean to deny reading materials including a lot of dificult words, though. because you understanding of English will improve significantly. Still, I dare to say, only with that, you won't be able to speak English.
Whatever. Do as you like. There used be a couple of threads for beginners but in my view, only a few users took advantage of them. Even this thread, it's not so active that you don't have to hesitate simply because you are such a beginner.
correction used to I'm fully aware that how come there are so many typos in my writing because I never make sure of them or re-read it. Why is this? Because I am an idle person. period.
>>542 I've been a regular user of this thread for about ten years. Thanks to it, my English gets a bit better compared to before. So I'd like you to make the best use of this thread. Keep it up!
Sorry, I have a big mouth. I don't remember exactly the time when I began to post here. If you know the British geek named Subject, it was around that time.
>>547 Yeah, I remember those fixed handle names. Plus, I know there were lots of Yukorin's fans in here. I also had an experience of talking to Magibon in person. You must be a person who would often use the word " slim shady"
Kate Midleton's nude photoes have been leaked by paparazzi.
Her boobs saggs and didn't turn on me at all.
After I got to know the news, I rushed to search for the photos on Internet and found those photos. (those were very bad resolutions, though)
This is one of the rare moments I feel happy about having a certain extent of English proficiency. Without understand English, I wouldn't have found those photos...
>>556 I watched Kattun's "making of ...Fumetsu no Scrum" . I have never seen such warmth and bonding between the members before. It is a funky uplifting song. I love them all but Kazuya.... why are you so beautiful?
China, get out from Japanese territory as fast as possible !! Senkaku islands are formal Japanese territory.
Even China said these islands belong their territory, we would strong demand to return back Manchuria to Japan. Japan would annul the potsdam declaration by their request.
Select which is good choice get out from senkaku islands or return back Manchuria to Japan?
i wonder why Japan had supported China so long time until they have strong power both military and economic. they really repay kindness with ingratitude to Japan. i don't understand their behavior. China, teach to children correct history and the only truth for an education !!
>>563 Same here. First of all, We have to protect Senkaku islands from their illegal invasion. I'm ready to shed blood for defending our territory. Now is the time that try our souls, Yamato dmashii.
i'm always thinking about China and Korea's behavior. For instance, China said, "Senkaku islands are Chinese territory." Even if they fulfill their plot, they would say for next step. "Okinawa islands are Chinese territory too."
Korea said, "Takeshima island is Korean's territory." Even if they fulfill their plot, they would say for next step. "Tsushima of Kyusyu is also Korean's territory."
maybe i guess, even if Okinawa come to be China, then they will request to Japan certainly, "Kyusyu regions are Chinese territory." even if Tsushima of Kyusyu come to be Korea, they will request to Japan certainly, "Japanese main island of all are also Koreans."
both China and Korea are very similar country for us !! What do you think about this?
I often ate loquats in the Awaji island. I like it, too.
>>571 I don't know 21st century pears. I know 20th century pears, but I know the 21st century pears on the web site now. I like kousui pears better than 20th century pears.
>>574 Yes, 'I like loquat' would be incorrect. If you're using the singular form you need to use an article ('a' or 'the'). 'I like a loquat' is grammatically correct, but is sounds very weird. It suggests that there is only one loquat that you like. It would be okay if you had something after it. For example, 'I like a loquat after a hard day's work.' That would mean that, after work, you like to eat one loquat.
Note that it's different for uncountable nouns. For example, 'I like juice' is correct without an article.
>>577 Thanks for explaining, i get it now. It's the same reason "I like apple" doesn't sound okay, right? But still it's kind of confusing because "I like fruit" is okay. Fruit could be an uncountable noun, but each particular kind of fruit is always countable. English is a quirky language.
>>579 That's right, it's the same as with 'I like apple'.
'Fruit' is a bit tricky, because it can be both countable and uncountable. When used as a countable noun, it refers to different types of fruit. For example, imagine I have two apples, two pears and two bananas. In that case, I could say 'I have three fruits' and 'I have six pieces of fruit'. 'Fruit' is countable in the first sentence, and uncountable in the second.
>>567 I am the real KameGirl, KG2ch. I had a really bad day. I thought Sparky was too cute and wanted to hug. >>568 I like Turtle-Pear. That is not a fruit though.
>>584 Who is Sato ken? >>586 yes it means Kamenashi. The discussion topic was fruits and pears in particular. I thought I would contribute my way. I don't think my idol is a type of fruit but he is just too sweet.
Sato Ken is a actor. He has starred in "Samurai X(Rurouni Kenshin るろうに剣心 )" When I did not know Kamenashi, I could not distinguish him and Ken Sato. They looks alike. But you seems to like Kamenashi, so I'm sorry if it makes you angry.
>>596 'Like for furniture' and 'like with furniture' are both correct. 'For' might be slightly more common, but they both sound good.
>>597 Strange names are becoming more common in English speaking countries, too. It is popular now to use traditional surnames as given names for girls, like 'Madison' and 'MacKenzie'. It's weird, because it sounds like people are always referring to them by their family names, even though they're not. Another problem is parents coming up with new spellings for existing names. So a common name like Caitlin might end up as 'Kaetlyne' or something like that.
Some of the protesters look like policemen or military personnel. The protests have been possibly staged by the government. or factions of the communist party.
I am seeing the limits of human beings. This is not only for the education but also the genes. Japanese haneybees can kill the hornets by their fever, but the others in the world cannot do it. WHO should do gene therapy fot them.
>>600 Tell me please, if you are Japanese. Is KK's eye shape and face unique racial characteristic in Japan? He has a long face with high cheekbones. When he puts on weight his face looks more square and divine.
KK=Kamenashi Kazuya? My poor English can't understand "unique rcial characteristic," whether "(A)a peculiar characteristic to the Japanese"or"(B)the characteristic that is rare in Japan." If you said (A), I think so. (Please note: limited to handsome people)
>>609 If I didn't know him, I would recognize him as a Japanese man. Of courese, he is beyond the typical Japanese, but I think among the Japanese might have one or two parts of the same as him.
The Chinese communist party killed thousands of their own people in cold blood during the Tiananmen Massacre. The anti-Japan protests might turn into something else and they might have to kill their own people again. I feel sorry for the Chinese people.
>>609 I bet you have seen the photo of him before cosmetic surgery. He had his eyes underwent cosmetic surgery, so there's no point in discussing if his his eys are typical japanese eyes or not. The shape of his eyes is "fake" so to speak.
Korea and China are a very childish organization as same as the primitive creatures as you may be aware. So we are Japan and usual countries, let's take a long distance from them and look them down. But we must put up with taking the good with the bad in the end. That's life!
I like listening "Enka", Japanese soul music. I'm afraid Kobayashi Sachiko, who is one of the top singers in Japan, can't take part in Kohaku Utagassen. As you know, she has now some financial and employment problems. It is true that she is responsible for most of the trouble, but I would like her to join the program. Iwanna watch her sing a song.
There's a slogan in China "愛国無罪”meaning "no charges against crimes committed out of patriotism." Even bureaucrats are reportedly encouraging people to take part in the looting. All the vandalism will likely go unpunished. All this is unthinkable in the civilized world.
The two graphs show there is a certain relationship between the global temperature and the concentraion of CO2 in the atmosphere. The concentration of CO2 has increased steadly since 1880, and the global temperature has also risen although there are short-term ups and downs.

I'm a 17 year old Chinese living in HK. I'm writing to hear your Japanese opinion about the demo (you might wanna call it violence) Of course I'm sure you are furious. Japanese shops and restaurants have no responsibility for the territory problem. Yet I beg you not to blame the Chinese people. Most of whom have no access to the information not censored by the government. They cannot learn the history of the island.
Anyway I wanna know how Japanese feel about the demo. Thanks :)
>>640 Many believe that it's all staged by a faction of the communist party, the protests, the violence, everything. They are taking advantage of Ishihara's "stupid" move, as one news source puts it. The history of the islands doesn't mean anything at all, they would do whatever they can to satisfy their terriotorial ambitions, just like they did against Vietnam. They actually wrested control over another disputed area from Vietnam. Japanese are naive enough to argue that the islands historically belong to Japan.
I believe those who participate the series of demo are likely less in whole Chinese. It's important that we should not be offensive to both Chinese who are now in Japan and Chinese Institute. We can assert its own territory with international correct history in a calm manner. Let's don't go up a same stage with china or korea, right?
There's a theory going around that the protests are masterminded by Xi Jinping, 習近平, who'll be the next leader of the PRC this fall. Do you guys buy it?

"The Rape of Nanking" is not worth reading. It's a fiction and should be prohibited to be published. Japan and the USA are friendly nations? Stupid! Who did the International Military Tribunal for the Far East? The USA want to think Japan was a bad country before WW2 because the USA has been a country of the justice. Two atomic bombs and a lot of air raids killed more than 500,000 Japanese civilians. They need this fiction story for their justice.
>>662 Banning books isn't cool, even if you disagree with what they say. Anyway, there are plenty other sources of information about the Nanking Massacre. The fact that it happened is incontrovertible. I don't see how it has anything to do with the atomic bombings though. The civilians who died in Hiroshima and Nagaski weren't responsible for Nanking.
>>663 Congratulations on being Canadian; we're all very impressed. But if you could keep to constructive criticism, that would be appreciated.

>>666 Yes, clearly >>663 was making fun of >>662. That's why I was telling >>663 that they should only use constructive criticism. 'If you could [do something], it would be appreciated' is a polite way of saying, 'Please [do something].'
THe gist of >>667's argument is that it was China that fabricated the Nanking Massacre and the U.S. gets into line with their (Chinese's) ideas because the U.S. wants to keep prewar Japan as a bad nation.
According to the Biglobe news, five Chinese military commanders developed an argument that they should take a military action against Japan. Come on China!! I'm ready to take you on anytime!! I'll dedicate my life to saving my country. You must be very weak because China is an artificial country made by the Communist party. When it comes to patriotism, we are still number one in the world, which was fairly reduced by America's occupation policy.
Different people come from different nations. But we all want the same things. We must work as a species. I think governments get in the way of this sometimes...

Different eyewitnesses can give very different reports, though in each case describing what each observer firmly believes he or she saw.
A question was raised in junior and senior high thread saying the above second line was imcomprehensible. I gave the following explanation. Am I right or wrong?
Different eyewitnesses can *give very different reports, { though in each case (they are) *describing [ what ( each observer firmly *believes ) he or she *saw ] }.
I am a Christian, Mennonite. I am 62 years old. Only on Christmas day two years ago, I watched a movie 'a Norwayan Wood'. After seeing the movie, I was walking the street. Then brain stroke took place in me. I stopped walking and stood still. I kept that position approximately 10 minutes. Then the waving scene was gone and I walked to my motor bike and went home riding the motor bike.
>>689 I think your explanation is right. The sentence certainly isn't incomprehensible; it sounds fine to me.
>>690 The title should be 'Norwegian Wood'. Instead of 'brain stroke took place in me', it would be better to say 'I had a stroke'. A stroke can only happen in the brain, so you don't need to say 'brain stroke'. Anyway, I'm glad you're okay!
>>691 It doesn't mean they only see movies on Christmas, it means that this particular movie was 'only' two years ago. So it emphasises that it was not a long time ago. By the way, 'Only two years ago on Christmas Day' would sound more natural.
>>693 There's really no difference, but 'came on' is maybe a bit less common. You could also say 'night fell' and it would mean the same thing.
>>694 Thank you. It has been nearly two years since I stopped direct communication in English. ------------------------------- I am relieved to hear you say that my explanation was right. What I explained sounded fine to you. --------------------------------------------- Yeah, the adjective form of Norway was not clear to me. Norway or Norwei becomes Norwegian? 'I had a stroke 'was good enough. I'm also glad you actually gave me 'okay'! ---------------------------------------- 'Only two years ago on Christmas Day' sounds better. ------------------------------------------ I could say 'night fell'.
Different eyewitnesses can give very different reports, though in each case describing what each observer firmly believes he or she saw.

Thank you for teaching me native English.
>>699 You're welcome. There are a couple more changes you could make. 'I watched a movie 'Norwegian Wood'.' sounds a bit odd. It should be either, 'I watched the movie 'Norwegian Wood'.' or 'I watched a movie called 'Norwegian Wood'.'
With the second-last sentence, you need to say 'for approximately 10 minutes.'
The 'waving scene' doesn't make much sense to me. Do you mean you felt like everything was waving? If that's the case, you could say something like 'Then the dizziness was gone'.
'Motorbike' is one word. The end of the sentence is grammatically correct, but it sounds awkward to say 'motorbike' twice like that. I would probably say something like, 'I walked to my motorbike and rode home.'
Previously I was a teacher of English who had never lived a life in an English speaking country until 2 years ago. Around 2 years ago, I went to east coast of the USA staying at youth hostels for a little more than two months.
In New York City, I went to a hostel which was out of Manhattan. I found it to be a very dirty place. I gave up that place. I took a train going inside Manhattan Island. I opened a map and went near Central Park and found a hostel. People enjoying traveling were there. I talked with lots of people and I cooked food. I changed my hostels about 5 places. Each place wa fun to me. Then I stayed in Chelsea Town hostel which was fun talking with prople in the garden. Then I went to Philadelphia and stayed at a large village hostel which gave me a lot of fun. Then I went to Washinton DC and stayed at a few hostels which gave me a lot of fun. Then I went to Boston. I visited Harvard University. Then I came back to Manhattan, I stayed there about a week. Then I came back to Japan.
when I was staying at a very large hostel in Washington DC, there was a burglar who came in the room where I was sleeping. I had the locker key in a plastic bag and the plastic bag rustled. there was someone in the darkness. I checked my plastic bag. the locker key was gone. I asked the man about my key. Saying that it was on the floor,he handed the key to me. Oh, what a shame! He was gone from the hostel. Several days later he was checking in the hostel. I complained the front desk staff. Then a police was called. I told the staff that I had handed in a paper that described what happened. He went behind the front desk to see it. But he came back saying that he could not find it. He lied. I made a mistake that there caused a day's gap. After all the man was banned from entering the hostel. The police left the spot.
i watch roruchan's german lesson videos and i have become a good german speaker first of all, you should know that ACH SO is pronounced the same as the Japanese word ASSOU and it means ASSOU, too. i think this comes from the fact that the Japanese came from DEUTCHLAND in ancient pithecantropes times, when the Japanese islands were still connected to the eurasia continent there are many other german words, but for beginners, being able to use ACH SO should be your first priority with DA, NYET, and ACH SO you should be able to travel just fine in DEUTCHLAND
also i learned many things from his videos in English, Australia and Austria are practically the same word and no one can tell the difference but in german, Austria is called Oooster Reich and so it is not confused with Australia but some hillbilly English man from the Gropecunt Lane decided to call Oooster Reich, Austria
also, in English, people in Switzerland is called swiss but in german, they are called SCHWEIZER which is so much cooler and badder than swiss but some jealous English hillbilly man from the Gropecunt Lane decided to give them a sissy name like swiss
>>718 >in English, Australia and Austria are practically the same word and no one can tell the difference Only if the person speaking is a typical American who slurs everything. For other English speakers, it should be quite hard to get the two mixed up.
I go to a neaby covenience store. My stomach is growling. There are no foods in the fridge. I like an "Ebi(shrimp) Katsu(cutlet)"sandwich sold in 7-11. Other convenience stores also sells similar sandwiches, but they're not delicious and the Kats is skimped. They are always sold out soon and can seldom be seen at night. So I can surely get it now.
According to the pronunciation of Japanese words さしすせそ, it is said as 'sa shi su se so' not as 'sa si su se so'. likewise, たちつてと is said as 'ta chi tsu te to', not as 'ta ti tu te to'. In the same way, はひふへほ should be pronounced as 'ha hyi hwu he ho', instead as 'ha hi fu he ho'. And naturally it is not as 'ha hi hu he ho'. As I a Japanese pronounce the letters 'らりるれろ', it is not American way of saying 'ra ri ru re ro' in which the tongue is rolled and as you make a sound without saying 'ra ri ru re ro', 'r' sound which is u or e like sound is heard. But as A Japanese try to say 'らりるれろ' but do not say it, and make sound, then it is 'n' sound. This means that as a Japanese say the letters 'らりるれろ’,he or she puts his or her tongue at the top of mouth and has closed the breath passage. And the sounnd of 'らりるれろ' is made as you release your tongue from the top of your mouth. so it' sould be shown as '(n)ra (n)ri (n)ru (n)re (n)ro' to show native English speakers the way of saying them. When we Japanese say ん,the length of the sound is one syllable. So it is 'nn' which is as you make ん letter with computer.

when the Angola-Saxon alliance settled in the britain island the people who had names like William, Thomas were the Angola the Saxons were mostly named like Nutbaggins and Saggington that was around 1025 A.D.
Nutbaggins and Saggington were good friends they build a small town in sunny countryside and called it Shire in the shire there was Tickle Cock Bridge and over the bridge there was Gropecunt Lane and they lived happily ever after
>>740 Sorry my bad, I didn't tell you exactly what I want. I know the guy saying in Japansese. But I want you to dictate the second question if you have time.
>>736 'Angola' is a country in Africa. The people who allied with the Saxons were called the Angles. But they weren't from Denmark, and they weren't Vikings. They were basically just another Germanic tribe like the Saxons. No people had names like 'Nutbaggins' or 'Saggington' in 1025.
>>738 "Joe Girardi hadn't played you when you came over in the trade against lefties all the time. Do you feel like the last few days you really made your case to play against lefties moving forward here for the rest of the season?"
>>744 A name with an ending like -ington would generally be the name of a place ('ton' means 'town'). Place names came to be used as surnames around the 13th century, when surnames started to become popular. People used to only have one name, which would be something like 'William'. As populations increased and towns and cities grew larger, there came to be a lot of people with the same names. So people needed some way to specify who exactly they were talking about when they said 'William'. One way was to refer to the town where someone was from. So you might call someone, for example, William of Saggington. Over time, these descriptions became family names. So William Saggington's son would be Thomas Saggington, even though Thomas might never have lived in Saggington.
>>750 I think the toeic score is meaningless. You have a chance to learn English in the best way. If you are in trouble, the people in this tread will help you.lol
>>747 That's how it started out, yeah. Jesus (if he existed) would only have had one name, so people would use a description like 'of Nazareth' to make it clear who they meant. Other examples would be to call someone by their occupation (Michael the baker) or by reference to their father (George son of Richard) or by some geographical landmark that the person lived near (Sarah of the hill).
But then, gradually from around the 13th century (and different times in different places) people started to make the descriptions part of their actual names. So those same people would be called 'Michael Baker', 'George Richardson' and 'Sarah Hill'. And then fathers would give their family name to their children. So all of Michael Baker's children would have the surname 'Baker' regardless of whether they worked as bakers or not.
Later, probably around the 16th or 17th century, people started to use middle names as well.
Things were pretty much the same in Japan. Ordinary people only had one name and only the samurai and the noble were allowed to have more than one. The difference from your country was that that continued until the Meiji Revolution, in the mid 19th century. I wonder what it's like having only one name. Or not having any for that matter.
speaking of japanese names in ancient times they put NO between their first name and surname like Takada no Baba but sometime in the medieval time the NO was dropped, so it is kind of similar i think although Takada no Baba is still Takada no Baba
Jesus was born in Nazareth and lived his life there so he was Jesus of Nazareth but he died somewhere in the tohoku region in japan so when he died, he was no longer jesus of nazareth
DEUTCHLAND as we know today is only a young baby country before Deutchland there was HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE it was holy and roman, and you can see this heritage in present day Deutchland their ruling party is named the Christian Party of Deutchland and great cathedrals attract many visitors the holiness is strong in Deutchland
History revisionists are those who deny the Holocaust, the Nanking atrocities, the atomic bombs, 9/11, etc. Maybe a line should be drawn between revisionists who are real historians and nutty people.
Hirohito was held unaccountable. That was the intention of the winners, or General Head Quarter. The Americans ordered all the defendants in the Tokyo trials not to testify in a way that could indicate his involvement. But that was not true, he was playing a pivotal role throughout the course of the war.
So as you said, history was made, or tampered with, by the winners.
On a side note, he was even considering abdicating, but the GHQ didn't approve the idea. They saw the need to protect Japan against communism, and used him for that end.
I visited my family's grave for equinoctial week and went to "Komeda Cofee" for lunch. I ate too much food and satisfied with the delicious dessert called "シロノワール" Do you know that?
We’d like to battle with China if they won’t return back Manchuria to us. Japan has to get Manchuria back from China immediately. These territories are really Japanese territory. Even if they won’t return back, we would be able to battle with them.
Anyway, China didn’t win a battle of Japan at least only once!! China is really weak!! But they don’t recognize this truth. They really look like foolish.
>>778 Originally, there’s no territory problem of Senkaku islands between Japan and China. But China has wanted to have trouble with Japan. They have this trouble made intentional surely. Moreover, China said, “Okinawa islands are also Chinese territories.” Why they want have a problem with Japan like this? Japan had supported China so long time. Then I guess, it’s an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. Therefore, I demand to return old Japanese territory of Manchuria again.
>>779-780 Yes, that's right! Komeda serves Nagoya's typical breakfast menu. Originally Komeda was only in Nagoya(maybe), but they have many chain stores spread across a wide area now. Komeda's most popular menu is "シロノワール" that is kind of like a caramel coated denish bread with soft cream and maple syrup. Yes, It's very high calorie! and also their serving size is big for regular prices. So I always end up eating too much.
>>783 Nice. I want a Komeda cafe here right now. For a simple brunch on Sundays. Served with a smile from an ikemen staff. You can always share the extra large serving with a loved one you know.
What will happen if Kame's baby's eyes are ugly slant eyes like the ones of Kame before cosmetic surgery. The baby ends up resembles nobody except Kame before cosmetic surgery. Terrible...
What? I love Chibi Kame-chan's even more. They turn into flat lines when he smiles. No problem, he just needs to find a woman with large eyes. For instance me~~~

It is important to speak ill of others who are good peolpe because they always think I am a good. They always mix sushi and pan cake. I won't understand it. Sushi and pan cake are diffrent things. Leaves come to turn red in this season. Good people will turn red, too. I think they were not around-the-clock good people when she was good, but that they are red people opend 24h now. I'm verry happy that they turn the impossible to the possible. I 'm not sure what I want to say, but at the same time I 'm sure that my fever is overflowing around Japan.
>>791 Could be about gossiping friends. The person is pleased in a way that the gossipers think she is type A(sushi) rather than type B(pancake) personality. She'd rather be known as type A. I think the gossiping friends seem to change in her eyes too (from type B to type A).
However I can imagine a sushi personality (someone who like smooth, fresh, sexy things and likes living on the edge) versus pancake personality (one who seeks warmth, reassurance and acknowledgement). I am just making it up so take it with a pinch of salt please.
Traditionally, 'dinner' referred to the biggest meal of the day, which generally used to be around noon. But these days 'dinner' usually refers to the evening meal. 'Supper' usually refers to the evening meal as well, but in some places it's more like a sort of snack eaten after the larger meal. In some places, the evening meal is also referred to as 'tea', even though people don't necessarily drink tea with it.
>>807 Where I'm from (South Australia) they're not really interchangeable. Supper is generally something smaller than dinner. For example, sometimes I go to seminars in the evenings, and they're often advertised as including 'supper'. That basically means there will be sandwiches and paper plates, and people eat while standing around or sitting on a chair with the plate on their lap.
'Dinner' or 'tea' would be used if you're talking about a bigger meal where you sit at a table to eat. There's no difference in meaning between the two, but 'dinner' sounds more formal. Within your own household, it would be very common to use 'tea'. But I'm pretty sure 'tea' is never used in America to refer to a meal.
Generally speaking, if you stick with 'dinner' everyone will know what you mean.
I am not a native speaker but there seems to be a class difference in the use of "tea" instead of dinner. For the working class "tea" instead of "dinner" or "supper". the latter two are middle and upper class usage respectively. Then again I am just a foreigner.
>>813 Ah I wish I could understand the connection between tempura and stage fright. Is it something to do being nervous to the point being fried? sorry for the ridiculous guess. So what is a tempura personality really like?
Kintama agaru? I don't know it. I will try to agaru tonight. I go outside midnight. When someone comes close to me, I'll open the front of my coat. I am naked under my coat, of course. Then I will say,"Please gaze at my kintama with this light and check if my kintama agaru to high position."
I hate English. If there wasn't a English exam, I would be a Tokyo university studens now. My hesachis are over 72 except English. My English hensachi is under 60. I am a genius. I must be able to be a Tokyo university student.
>>817 Why? Are you lazy? So now I will always think of tempura when I am giving presentations. Ok next: Why am I ichigo type you think? Sorry for being so inquisitive. I want to know what people on the other side of the world think of me.
>>830 I din't know you had to pass English language exams for Todai. I had oyakodon at Toku London today! The rice was so delicious... I could not pick the remaining rice off the bowl. Sadly I lack good choptick skills.
Hey,KameGirl! or other native speakers! Please tell me what's she saying at around 2:50. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u073fpR-O7U I hope you're satisfied? ??????. Bye!
I took a TOEIC test not too long ago. Since I took a series of TOEIC seminar in my universiry, I'm sure my score can be good enough. I guess it's over 750.
Anyway, I've not been here for a long time. So I don't know how this thread goes at all.

Judging from her posts so far, I don't think strawberries go well with her at all. Strawberries look so cute and taste sweet while she sounds like a amazon and might taste of durian.
>>861 So it is. >>865 I think it is a safe choice. I'd rather say what you think like >>866. A durian is far fetched, but I am not a strawberry type at all. You have to have nerves of steel and a thick skin in my field to survive. It is not made for naive strawberry types. Right, off to work now.
>>868 Your comment reminded me of a former prime minister of your country called " iron woman." In addition, you sounds like you live in a world which is ruled by the concept of survival of the fittest appearing in Darwin's evolutionary theory. I'll pray for you.
Japanese who can discuss this in Englsih pasrticipate in a discussion. We haven't opposed the anti-Japanese liars. This move is seen to aroud the world. History is not fiction. Many war crimes that China and Korean say Japan did are almost fiction.
Not again! As you know, Koreans are notorious for plagiarism, ranging from scientific papers to cultural stuff. This time, music... If you're American, I think you've heard this song because it's won no.1 spot in America. But he's held a press conference and admitted he stole the song from Japanese TV commercial.
I didn't know who she is at all, so googled her. Roughly speaking, good-looking girls can be categorized into two types; cute and beautiful. I think she is the latter type. I like baby-faced girls with all the curves, so she is not my type.
Everyday, everytime, I am nagged by old buzzerd. He is seriousely stupid, nonsense, and stiff. Many times I tried to communicate with him but resulted in vain. I had gotten tired. I wan to escape from everythig about him.
I wonder if Igirisu-jin has gone forever... What would motivate him to come back, I wonder... Oh, yes, he should know a man in this thread is determined to devote his anal to him.

>>894 Sitting at a computer and typing all day (and sometimes all night) can be quite tiring, unfortunately. There's so much more to do. By the way, I'd just like to say that I have solved the island problem. The Senkaku islands are now mine.
>>914 Lang-8 is one of the sites I recommend. It's a site for Language learners to practice writing. I don't use the site anymore but let me explain. I post a journal/diary or whatever in English there, native English speakers proofread and correct it. In return I proofread and correct Japanese diaries/journal posted by learners of Japanese around the world. It's a sort of mutual help language learners' community. You don't have to write a diary/journal there. Some people are only proofread and correct posts for language learners to help them. You need to get a free account.
>>914 Do you read Japanese? Then, another site I'd recommend is OKwave. (http://okwave.jp/) It's one of the biggest Q&A site and you can call it a quality site, meanig better than Yahoo Answers thingy. OKwave covers wide varieties of topics and there's an English category. (http://okwave.jp/c385.html) When I say English category, it means questions there are all English-related. (I don't mean the category is displayed in English. hence you need to understand Japanese.) Like Lang-8, you need to get a free account to use the service, both for answering and posting a question. Some of the questions there are grammar related so I guess it's difficult to answer it for a native English speakers unless they have a certificate of teaching English to english learners. Some questions are just "Please translate this letter to English..." and I bet you are good at this type of question, or I should say request, is easier to handle if you understand original Japanese.
>>914 If you don't mind reaching your helping hands further and are eager to help English leaners worldwide, not only Japanese english learners. This is the place to go. http://forum.wordreference.com/forumdisplay.php?f=6 There, those who post a question has to use English when posting, you understand what their questions are. You don't need to understand Japanese. English skills of many Japanese English learners are not good enough for them to post their questions in English, so naturally, I don't there're many Japanese English learners there. Hope this helps if there's anything else you'd like to know, ask away.
Oh, and if you're interested in signing up Mixi, which is a Japanese SNS site, you can sign up and use it. There are Q&A communities for English learners where they post English related questions Different from Facebook, you don't have to use your real name, so you can stay sort of anonymous. You need to get a free account to start using Mixi.
Sir Igirisujin will then entertain us in his castle overlooking the sea, with delicious calamari served as part of the menu. Is formal attire compulsory or are we allowed to show up in robe de chambre?
>>915 Long time no see! One of Japanese who used to live there back then had two goats, male and female, and now the number of goats has increased to hundreds in total. It is said that they eat too much grasses, the grasses on on of the islands are on the verge of dessapearing. Before it's too late, I want you to reduce the number of them. The reward is that you can do whatever you want with the wild goats' anuses.
I own Falkland Islands, by the way, and I can fuck with penguins there as much as I want.
>>921 I'd like to ask your impression, igirisu-jin. When I was watching BBC news yesterday or the day before yesterday, the news anchor said the song of the korean's singer introduced in >>874 got number one spot in UK.
Do you get the impression that the two songs (the Japanese commercial song and the korean's mega hit song) sounds like the same? Or you don't think Korean song resembles the Japanese commercial song? I for one the two sounds very similar.
>>925 Calamari is good. But uni shall be also be served for those who dislike seafood. Though uni comes from a creature of the sea, it transcends cuisinal boundaries. Evening dress would be nice, but we wouldn't stop anyone who wishes to arrive in a dressing gown.
>>927 Grass grows easily. Sometimes too easily. However, the goat problem is easily solved, since I imagine that goats are delicious. As for the reward, I would probably sell them to China for both medicinal and culinary purposes. Hopefully I'll be able to level up someday...
>>929 It's true that the song is still in the #1 spot on the music charts here. After listening to them almost together, they definitely do have major similarities in beat, dance, use of electronic tracks and... ah... saying [continued]
Speaking of whale, I remember whale meat would often be served at school time when I was a kid. It was absolutely delicious as you said. I think Westerners were so arrogant that they decided to discontinue commercial whaling. You know, what you eat is a cultural issue, none the less, they insisted that whales are an intellectua animal, killing them is crual or they are indanger of extinction. I cannot help but say that they are all stupid!!
>>929 [continued] words (there's probably a technical term for that, but I don't know what it is). It's difficult to say where the line is between inspiration and plagiarism, but credit should always be given where due.
Thanks so much! I'll have to check out all three of these. I do speak Japanese so OKWave sounds especially promising; it would probably be good practice for me too!
>>932, >>937 Thank you very much for sharing your opinion, Igirisu-jin. The song really is getting popular worldwide. I read somewhere that the song boasts reaching 100 million views on YouTube within the shortest time, faster than Lady Gaga but some say the reliability of the view count is dubious. The song is so catchy that I understand why it gets popular, but after listening to the Japanese CM, I'm convinced that he plagiarized it, although there are no solid evidence.
I had heared it too. But hornesty lovely it too. Probably she wanna to say what no matter of the her weight cause most important is her songs and those lines. She just wanna to discribed those act. Probably I wonder it.
>>924 What's this 'Austkorea' stuff about? I tried asking in one of those anti-Australian threads, but I still don't get it. How does Australia have anything to do with korea?
Yeah, a lot of people were talking about whaling in the other thread I looked at. It's weird, because it's not a big issue at all in Australia. Most people would be against whaling if you asked them, but we don't really care. The environmentalists who attack whaling boats are obviously insane. They don't represent normal Australians.
We certainly are not anti-Japanese like people keep saying. If anything we're pro-Japanese. Japanse-made products have a very high reputation here, and Japanese anime and games are really popular. Also I read somewhere that Japanese is the most widely-taught foreign language in Australian schools. A lot of people have a negative impression of some Asian countries, especially China, because they resent Chinese companies taking opportunities in Australia. But I never hear a bad word about Japan.
Whales isn't threatened with extinction now. They are one of the marine ecosystem. They eat a lot of fish. The balance of the marine ecosystem will be destoryed.
Eating whale meat was one of our traditonal eating habits and we made the best use of the whole part of a whale. On the other hand, Westerners, especially Americans overhunted whales only to get whale oil from them. You know, power is justice in this world, in other words, where might is master, justice is servant.
my kintama is average size but my penis is especially big and long and I can ejaculate lots of times a day I am sure that I never make any girls dissapointed with my penis
What a go-go dancer exactly mean? What I want to know is the if a dancer who wear a bra or thong without becoming completely naked is also called a go-go dancer. Or does a go-go dancer have to be complete naked, which means showing her boobs and private part while dancing?
I looked it up in a dictionary it said that a go-go dancer is a woman who dances with sexy movements in a bar or nightclub. by the definition it doesnt matter whether they are complately naked or not but I want them to be naked anyway you too don't you ?
why ask native speakers when it is a question that can be answered by non-natives? these apes are fuckin stupid i am an italiano from appalachiano, i am smarter than these apes
did you know that even though Australia is a huge land, human habitation is limited to the south-eastern coast and famous cities like Kidney and Calbone are located and concentrated around there while the rest of the vast land is controlled by various pokemon-like creatures
My brother anual income is 15.000.000 yen. My anual income is 0 yen. If people are not a doctor, they are not human beings. I am not a doctor, so I am not a human. I must become a doctor in order to become a human.
I had already looked it up in my dic before I posted the question. I'd like to know common understanding of a go-go dancer among native English speakers regarding they have to be naked or not.
>>986 Yes, I'm a native English speaker. I'm Australian. The term 'go-go dancer' was originally used in the 1960s. Those original go go dancers would have worn basically the same sort of clothes as everyone else who was out dancing. If someone is dancing naked, we would probably call them a stripper rather than a go-go dancer.
