Today, I went to a German Christmas market. I had a big grilled sausage with bread, a ham sandwich and a cup of white wine.
There are a Christmas tree illumination, which is one of the largest in the world, and a merry-go-round that's evolving too fast.
The market was held in a small area, But hundreds of people are around there.

When I lived in Germany, they had the best Christmas markets I've ever
seen. So much atmosphere and so much content. Even though I hate crowds,
it was worth it. How was the sausage?

Put up some Christmas decorations yesterday. Here's my tree...

I hear there is an illegal business practice on the latest movie of Keion.
Those who have been to watch that movie three times in the theater can get a rare picture of Keion.

In other words You have to go to the movie three times for its rare celluloid.
In addition It's up to 24 times you can!!

It's the same method of AKB Shoho.
It's terrible isn't it?
What do you think about it?

I've ever watched one movie three times. But 24 times is crazy.
At least I don't have to go 24 times because I don't need the pictures.
However, in fact, AKB商法 is a successful method. I'm sure many Otaku go a lot of times.

23KG2ch:2011/12/04(日) 10:00:19.66
I know about the various BL elements in media, manga and
Johnny Kitagawa is basically manufacturing BL material.
I don't particularly like BL, but fangirls have made an
institution out of Akanishi-Kamenashi relationship, they call
it AKAME couple. They have a strange love-hate chemistry
which is very attractive. We foreign fans think it
is awesome, you cannot see that kind of media attraction in Europe
or America because of phobia.Japan is unique in that sense.
I guess your Samurai Shudo traditions help people accept things
like BL more easily.

Kamenashi of Kattun was aiming to hit a homerun in a sports TV show in Japan, but as you may know,
he completely failed to do it, and I think that's mostly because he is too skinny,
and so I believe he needs to put some more muscle and meat on himself to become a macho man
in order to achieve his goal. Kamenashi needs to be a macho man.
37(*´∀`)beginner:2011/12/04(日) 11:20:20.47
Why do all you like a homo talking.
38名無しさん@英語勉強中:2011/12/04(日) 11:32:52.82
I'm beginner too.

Maybe "macho" is NG word in this thread.
39名無しさん@英語勉強中:2011/12/04(日) 12:05:16.02
>>38
How come? Nothing wrong with it. Just because (*´∀`)beginner thought of macho men as gay people
doesn't mean it true of the fact that the word is not for gay people.
Macho men are considered very manly and preferred almost anywhere in the world.
I don't understand why he associates it with gay or homo, though.

>>37
Please explain what makes you think macho men are gay.
40名無しさん@英語勉強中:2011/12/04(日) 12:11:39.96

Let me point this out clearly. Unlike your belief, skinny and feminine looking boys like Kamenashi
tend to be considered gay, even if he's not in reality. So what would make him gay if he trains and becomes manly?
45名無しさん@英語勉強中:2011/12/04(日) 12:21:07.25

49名無しさん@英語勉強中:2011/12/04(日) 12:28:06.71

A Freudian slip is a verbal or memory mistake that is believed to be linked
to the unconscious mind. Common examples include an individual calling his
or her spouse by an ex's name, saying the wrong word or even misinterpreting
a written or spoken word.

And when you ask people for something, it might be better to say, "Could you
possibly be kind enough to answer my trivial question, if it's not too much to ask?"

Anyway, I hope you will keep that in mind.

If a girl likes a man with extreme masculine threats, she wants

It is what he does with himself in life. >>36 is saying in order to

I disagree. He is definitely manlier than you, because, he was born with a
small frame but he tried and almost achieved home run

We fans get a total cardiac arrest watching him with that
sweat-soaked determined look and giving his 100% in EVERYTHING

She said many times in the past that she was happy with people telling her what to do.
There isn't a place for her to confide her secret to people other than the cyberspace.
The internet is the only and last life line. If she's ignored here, we can't be sure what she's capable of.
What Sparky hates most is being left alone as she is in her local community.
We should not turn our backs on her, no matter what some say we are just nosing around,
because they don't care what will happen to Sparky.

I was watching some Japanese drama on TV, in which there were actors who were Japanese and Westerners.
All of them were speaking in English, and at the same time Japanese subtitles were coming on the monitor.
I was also browsing the commentary thread of the drama on 2channel. Then a Japanese actor said some words
in English. The moment the subtitle, which was 「そんなに?」, of what he said was following,
the same comments were burst out on the thread. Those were like,「そんなにwww」. I thought at first "what were they laughing at?"
And eventually I got the reason. Apparently what the actor said sounded to them the same as the subtitle literally.
It was a kind of 空耳. That's because they were not familiar with how English sounds.
But What I heard was nothing but "So many?".

Maybe it is more common to use "infuse" or "brew" ?

Let's ask a native speaker-san.
294名無しさん@英語勉強中:2011/12/06(火) 09:11:53.98
>>293
Oh, I thought you were a native speaker, KG.
"Brew" is what I do when I make tea. i.e. "I'm going to brew some tea"
"Steep" is what the tea does on it's own. i.e. "The tea is steeping"
It's common to use "Brew" in all cases, though, since "steep" as a verb is obscure.
I most commonly use "Steep" though.

The Hawaiian flag is clearly the best US-state flag.

Winter was being very apparent today, as it felt like someone replaced
the sidewalk with a giant slab of ice. I'm a bit envious of penguins,
who can just flop over onto their stomachs and slide along the ground.
If I did that, someone would probably call either an ambulance or the
police.

It's between around 4 and -2 degrees this week. Last year, we already had
snow for a month by this time, so it's not as bad as last year, though the
area that Scotland-jin is from has snow and weather warnings already.

If it does become icy and you try sliding, please tell us if it works. Be

Today is the anniversary of Pearl Harbor and John Lennon's death(killed by someone).
Speaking of The Beatles, the members of the legendary rock band don't still die are Paul and Ringo, right?
I slightly remember; George Harrison has already passed away. Not killed by someone but some illness.
In terms of the Beatles songs what George composed, I think "While my guitar gently weeps" is best!

Anyway, as for today, most radio station all around the world may introduces "Imagine" by John Lennon to tribute his soul.
However, I can't like him. Well, I mean I don't like all his songs(Factually, I think his songs are great), I don't like his thought.
I can't stop thinking he is just a hypocrite. For example, when he made, his greatest hit song, "Imagine", he lived in his man-
sion! In the song's lyrics, he says"Imagine no possesions/I wonder if you can/No need for greed or hunger/A brotherhood of
man"! Huh? He has no persuasive power at all...
And what the hell "Love&Peace"!? You divorced your ex-wife and left your son because you had a love affair with Ono Yoko!

So, I can like him without thinking of such thing.

But they don't bother to wait for an hour or more

Japanese people often say "the elderly is cute(pretty)."
Is that the value Japanese only have?
I'd like to ask foreigners how you think of that?

Not cute but adorable. It's hard to describe
620名無しさん@英語勉強中:2011/12/12(月) 08:34:57.19
Isn't saying cute, adorable, anything like that, to the elderly mean or not polite?
I was wondering if that happens especially in the US, you will be sued.

Recently in the US, 8 years old boy said his teacher was fine.
In the end, he was kicked out of the school for 2 days.

Many people here don't mind queueing, but I wouldn't say it's enjoyable.
The older generations are more likely to wait for buses; the younger are
more likely to catch a taxi as they're generally more impatient. People
waiting at a bus stop will often stop and talk to each other, discussing
mundane things such as the weather, and lying about how they feel just to
be polite ("How do you do?" - "I'm fine, thank you").

However, I wouldn't really say we're less likely to queue for attractions.
The last time I visited a theme park, the rollercoaster lines were very long,
with some people waiting over an hour to get on a ride. The longest I've ever
queued was in St Petersburg, trying to get into the Winter Palace (State
Hermitage Museum), where the wait was two and a half hours. In a thunderstorm.

I think the threshold for patience is declining as modern conveniences
often give us what we need straight away. Of course, we still have to
wait for packages and things, but people are less likely to, say, write
letters as emails have almost made them obsolete (unfortunately).

>>618
I don't understand this sentiment, but at my old workplace, the girl in the
accounts department sometimes said that "old people are adorable". Then again,
I don't understand how people can think that babies are cute either.

You're making a good use of the time!

In Japanese twitter, the slang "-ho〜" is used by many users; In the night,
one tweets "Yoru-ho〜". In the noon, one tweets"Hiru-ho〜".
According to my follower's research, the origin is from the song of owl. As
you all know, owl sings "tu-whit, tu-whoo" in the night(All Japanese inclu-
ding me think it sings "Hoo-hoo-").
So, "ho〜" is based on the animal's song. In the night, users who like the word
sing(tweet) "Yoru-ho〜" all together.

I wanna ask you a question. Do you "sing" in the night/noon like "Yoru-ho〜" or
"Hiru-ho〜" on twitter? if you're a twitter user, let me know.

The Purpose of Opening the Great Asian War(Pacific War )of The Japan
679名無しさん@英語勉強中:2011/12/13(火) 09:25:45.34
Dear Whitemen
The Imperial Government of Japan made a issue of declaration about the opening of the Great Asian War(Pacific War) on Desember 8,1941.
680名無しさん@英語勉強中:2011/12/13(火) 09:28:01.90
In the declaration, Japanese Government criticized the economic sanction to Japan, and subordinating Asian people to USA and Britain, especially showed that economic sanction to Japan was equal to declaration of war by them.
681名無しさん@英語勉強中:2011/12/13(火) 09:30:23.96
In the end of the declaration The Imperial Government of Japan clearly declared the purpose of The Great Asian War(Pacific War ) as follows.
682名無しさん@英語勉強中:2011/12/13(火) 09:34:13.57
"Therefore, The Imperial Government of Japan have to be resulted in going to a new action in South East Asia.
The Imperial Government has no hostile feeling against the natives there.
683名無しさん@英語勉強中:2011/12/13(火) 09:36:43.23
The purpose of the new action (opening war) is the exclusion of tyrannical rule by USA and Great Britain from Asia, then return the Asia to its original state before to be colonialized by White Men.

Japanese Empire aimed at the liberation of South and East Asia from tyranny by white men.
According to the declaration, Japanese Impeial Army and Navy expelled white men's military force from Asia.
687名無しさん@英語勉強中:2011/12/13(火) 09:46:31.23
In 19th century, there is a scholar of military in Germany, his name is Carl Phillip Gottlieb Clausewits.
He showed that the victorious nation was the country who achieved the purpose of the war.

It is the historical fact taht The Imperial Government of Japan has achived her purpose of the War. Therefore, Japan becomes the real Victor in the Pacific War.
Whitemen 's countries, (USA, England, French, Holland) who lost all colonies after the Pacific War become the defeated nations in the War.

You guys like talking about two holes; mouth and asshole.
When it comes to two holes, I often remember a short story written by Hoshi Shinichi.
In the novel, there appears an alien whose mouth has the same function as human beings
and ass hole has バイス バーサ

Yesterday, I got listening CDs of a company to improve my abilities to listen, my parents ordered.
With the CDs, an iPad shuffle sent to me(This is it. http://twitter.com/#!/mrumechildren/status/147236487858102272/photo/1).
Thanks to this mobile machine, I can study of English everywhere.
But I got stuck in setting up... I can't face to it. So I decided to depend on my parent...
I'm sure I'm bad at controling machines like PC, DVD/Blu-ray recorder. If those are broken by
some reasons, I might as well kill myself. All I can do is to depend on someone good at sett-
ing up and controling machines.
I hardly read the manual of PC, cell phone, etc. Because, if I read it, I can't understand what it says at all.

And today, my parent has just finally found the cause I couldn't set up and download my English
listening CD's conversations to my iPod shuffle.

It's just because I didn't plug in incompletely... What a crying shame!

Well, from now on, I can practice of listening to English everywhere. With this amazing machine,
I can pass the next Eiken exam of pre-1grade!?

What makes Sparky special among the others in Louisiana? I mean, why does he stand out among them?
It shouldn't be because he likes cartoon characters - there are millions of fans for them. Sparky is just one of them.
Is it because he has the power to impede on what we are trying to achieve?
Is he the last person we want here? Is he the one we should get rid of?

Strong, stable, proactive mentality is more important.
Even if you are young say 15~20, you dont add any value to society if you are reluctant and dont take any action.

Right.
The leadership of Japan was transferred from the old party 自民党 to the young party 民主党.
What happened next?
It doesn't matter if old or young. Things are not so simple.

Still, it matters to many companies in Japan whether the applicants are young.
In addition, most of them adopt a retirement age system and abondon their employeees
immediately after that no matter how useful their work skills are.

Are we talking about the need for changing current common system, or concept?
Most people in Japan think the younger, the better.

In Japan, companies and society want younger people, and make the young obey older people, (年功序列)
Young people are not comfortable with it, of course.
944名無しさん@英語勉強中:2011/12/17(土) 18:51:20.29
And people expect the DPJ to change the old fashioned Japanese society.
More than half of young generation people voted for them.
Now that they got the leadership, they are supposed to create a brand new society.
945名無しさん@英語勉強中:2011/12/17(土) 19:00:19.99
In Japan, leaders will never come up since 出る杭は打たれる And 年功序列.
I think Japan will be a better country if we become a part of the US or even China or Korea.
There are more skilled leaders in China and Korea, needless to say in the US.
946名無しさん@英語勉強中:2011/12/17(土) 19:23:25.04
I think things have both merit and demerit and so does seniority system.
There are lots of jobs in which it is difficult for you to evaluate what someone has done.
In those cases, it's not irrational for companies to take into account someone's years of service to them.

We know the current leaders have no ability to create the new Japan. The worst problem, I think, is that the suitable leaders won't emerge...
You can see that easily when you look at what happening in the political world in Japan. Nobody is impeding progress of young generation politicians.

954名無しさん@英語勉強中:2011/12/18(日) 06:29:06.91
I want to say this.
If you want to change Japan to a better country, change yourselves first, no matter if you are young or old.

Changing politicians simply won't(didn't) work.

Getting rid of seniority system simply won't work.
Seniority systems are collapsing now however I can't see any good omen.(I see a bad omen for me. Probably I won't hold a senior position although my colleagues of my age already got senior positions. That means I'm in 負け組.)
955名無しさん@英語勉強中:2011/12/18(日) 06:34:52.50
