U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Sunday the United States "strongly supports" the austerity measures that Greece has taken to try to avert potential financial disaster.
"We stand by the people and government of Greece as you put your country back on a path to economic stability and prosperity," Clinton said during a visit to the country.
Clinton spoke to reporters along with Stavros Lambrinidis, who serves as minister of foreign affairs under Prime Minister George Papandreou.

後半の as がどういう意味で使われているか 悩んでいます。譲歩。理由。時。いづれでもしっくりこないし。。

あっ、そうですね。確かに様態ですね。しかし様態とは気づきませんでした。
因みに自分テニスを少しばかりやるのでこの記事は興味深く読んだんですが、
確かに、フェデラー、ナダル、ジョコビッチ、マリーは、別格です。
テニス雑誌にもこの4人はよく登場します。フェデラーはもう30歳なんで、そろそろ限界か?
みたいな事を書かれていたりしますが、先日の試合でジョコビッチに大手をかけたにも関わらず、
逆転負けしたので、
また30歳限界説をかかれそうです。
