>>7 I don't think a is ungrammatical. Strange, but not ungrammatical. (I doubt a judge would ever be forced into walking out of a courtroom.) In c, you're missing "be" before "a great big toad."
must = there's no question about it - it'll happen. can = it's possible it'll happen. may = it might happen, it might not. (alternately: it's allowed.)
Inversion isn't really used much in common speech. It's poetic. For it to be grammatical, S V O C => C O V S. (S = subject, O = object, V = verb, C = adverbial Clause.)
recent tv show such as big eater championship is popular amoung people to be sure, their effort is to be admirable but I can't watch it with ease because I cannot help worrying about their health
Hey!!! you NEETs, nerds, YouTube-link spammers, pedophiles, neo-Nazis, Yukorin enthusiasts, Nanako SOS admirers, Part-Time-Preachers, Diplomats' spoiled sons, losers who can't remember Kanji characters, Big-boobs fans, Weeaboos from all over the world, learners of Japanese who are too lazy to update their Japanese blogs very often, and cunning linguists. And Let's pray for the rehabilitation of the Internet-addicted housewife.
Here is the place to have a blast!!!!!
Copy and paste the above should have been long lasting tradition!
>>10 Actually, the specs of Dreamcast stood out at the time of release, such as its 128bit advanced archtecture, but turned out to be a multiprocessor made of four 32bit chips, and there was no upgrade compatibility for Sega Saturn games, when you could play most of PS1 games on PS2. On top of that, they released practically no killer games for it, though Biohazard CODE: VERONICA still looks good to me.
I for one am fascinated by what VIPPER talks about on VIP. If I could understand Japanese News4VIP would be the first place I would go. VIPPERS words of wisdom are valuable.
What's rediculous to me is some people categorize some 2channelers as vippers as if vippers have unique characteristics on their own. They are just random people who happened to read and post vip board. No more no less.
On the same line, to call someone 2channelers are rediculous, too. As if all 2chanellers had the same characteristics and they shared same values or something. It's stupid to have such a sense of community. I read 2ch and post in 2ch but never call myself a 2channeler. I have no sense of a member of 2ch community or anything. I just post and read in 2ch. That's all.
Dreamcast's system may be less complicated than PS2. PCSX2 doesn't work on the comp unless your computer's spec is quite high. On the other hand, DC works fine for relatively low-spec computers.
PS2, Gamecube, Dreamcast, PS1, Nintendo64... I somehow managed to get Gamecube to run on the computer, but it's too slow to play games on! From what I learned, PS2 is the most complicated among them, second is GC and then comes DC and N64, and then PS1...
I'm looking for a native Japanese speaker to transcribe some lines of an episode of the Kirby anime. Does anyone know where I could go to ask this?
My Japanese is good, but some lines just sound like "Kuraashaahsita" to me, no matter how many times I listen to them. I only need about 40 lines transcribed out of over 400.
>>32 If you write your email address then I'll contact with you.
You just want a native speaker of Japanese to transcribe 40 lines right? That doesn't sound hard. I think I can help you. I can listen to the line on youtube or something? Anyway, I'll help you.
The video is private, and I can't change that from where I am. I have to allow the person to view it. Tomorrow I can change that no problem, but for today it needs to stay a private video.
Cool. If you really don't mind helping me out, e-mail me at [email protected] with your youtube account name. I'll e-mail you back the details. It shouldn't take too long for a native speaker, maybe 10 minutes if you're a fast typer.
口火を切よう The last movie I saw was Iron Man starring starring Robert Downey Junior. Have you seen any other movies that Robert Downey Junior has appeared in?
59>> Robert Downey is very famous in the US despite the fact that he hasn't made very many good movies. I saw Phone Booth on TV but didn't enjoy it very much.
>>61 I haven't seen movies for a long time, neither Japanese nor Hollywood's. I guess movie buffs have heard of him. But we are more familiar with actors who appear in Blockbusters.
I googled and found out that Robert Downey isn't newcomer. He is older than me. I'm on the older end of this thread, I think. I enjoyed Phone Booth. That was thrilling and exciting movie. I watched it twice in a row at movie theater. First time, I tried not to see subtitles but didn't understand details of the movie, so the second time, I saw subtitles. The story of the film is simple so I enjoyed it even without seeing the subtitles but I felt kind of disappointed not being to able to understand details without seeing sub.
These days many movie theaters don't allow us to see twice in a row. That's bad for enthusiastic English learners who want to practice listening skills. Studying with DVD must be effective and better these days.
Olympic visitors at risk of bugging 2008.6.11 23:45
National security agencies are warning businesses and federal officials that laptops and e-mail devices taken to the Beijing Olympics are likely to be penetrated by Chinese agents aiming to steal secrets or plant bugs to penetrate U.S. computer networks.
Chinese government and industry use electronic espionage to "easily access official and personal computers," says one recent report by the Overseas Security Advisory Council, a federally chartered panel comprising security experts from corporations and the State, Commerce and Treasury departments.
Equipment left unsupervised for just minutes in a hotel or even during a security screening can be hacked, mined and bugged, adds Larry Wortzel, who chairs the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission, a federal panel that monitors China-related security issues for Congress. China's government also controls Internet service providers and wireless networks, he says, so computers and PDAs can be monitored and planted with bugs remotely, too.
These days many movie theaters don't allow us to see twice in a row. That's bad for enthusiastic English learners
I agree. Are there any movie theatres which allow us to see movies in a row in tokyo or kanagawa area? I think bad influence of america is here. Movie condominius(シネコン) owned by movie corporation giants. Also Isn't double screening(I want to say 同時上映 in English) dissappearing too? Many days ago we can see two or more movies in one theatre and watch as much as we like in rural area.
I want to know exact translations of シネコン and 同時上映, by the way.
I think the smiths' succcess owes too much to mar's guitar and his composing talent. Without Morissey, the smiths could have succeeded eitherway. Without Mar, the smiths could have been nameless. I admit Morrissey's lyrics, character and voice made their success definite though.
I want to know white people's opinion about Morrisey's looks. Is he ugly from western aesthetic value? I don't know how much degree ugly he is. Can he be within ugly bottom 10 or 20%. Even if he was ugly, he seemed to be pretty confident and narcissistic. He seemed to indulge in how miserable he was. He was unhappy but He loves himself.
http://jp.youtube.com/watch?v=f0R92ILk3D8 Kato was in despair about his appearance. I think he is not handsome either. But I think he is not as ugly as he thinks he is. Kato is within from 1/3 to 1/5 of japanese face, I guess. He is just self-flagellating and looks no bright side of him. Face matters all? How about Morissey, kawamura ryuichi(got pastic surgery), Jim kerr Kuwata keisuke and so on and on. Kuwata is uglier than Kato! Half of yoshimoto comedians are uglier than Kato.
>>74 He can't post here because his ISP is blocked by 2ch. He can post in the following thread so if you put the link there, maybe you can chat with him there. http://4-ch.net/nihongo/kareha.pl/1106427145/l50
>>76 2ch is a good place to kill the time, but when you are busy with your real life, then you don't find it worthy to browse or post in 2ch, I assume?
>>78 Perhaps "not worthy" is a bit strong... 2ch is still a very informative place. However, now I'm working full time with regular hours, I just don't have as much motivation as before. Sometimes I have to do extra work at home, then there's cooking and eating, sleep, and so on... not a lot of free time, either.
>>79 I am short of vocabulary so, I ended up using "not worty." I know what you mean. In my case, when I'm busy with something, I'm too tired to check 2ch's threads.
I don't think not many Japanese single men living alone cook for themselves. Buying something to eat at a convenience store or eating out at the place that provides not so expensive dishes are options. I think when you have your own family, your wife must appreciate your cooking skills and all that.
Hope you keep checking this thread when you have time.
>>80 I think more people here would eat out if food was less expensive. The UK is generally an expensive country with high living costs, though, so I find it cheaper to just cook things. What sort of food comes from convenience stores?
>>81 Now that you mention it, I actually have one question. It's about how to use a verb "Make". Of course, I'm used to the verb - it's used quite a lot. But I have this question my dictionary can't solve. It's "make to do (something)". Example : Harry made to speak again. Harry made to move on. etc.. I have never seen it used like this until I read Harry Potter. And the dictionary I have in hand doesn't mention even a bit of this usage. Is it no different from "try to do something"? (from those contexts it's used, I think it means as nearly the same. But I want to be certain of how to use it. Thanks in advance.
>>84 Thanks, but I should've said that differently. What I wanted to ask about was this particular form "make + to do". I was taught at school that "make" was basically used like 1) make something 2) make someone something 3) make someone do something (in the passive tense, someone is made to do something) But not "(someone) make to do something". (this way of using the verb isn't written in my dictionary, and as I said above, I haven't seen it used this way except in Harry Potter..
>>82 There are various foods that serves for different demands of customers, rainging from bento(lunch box) style foods, onigiri(rice ball), hamburgers , noodles to name a few. Rice balls alone in wide varieties.
There are varieties of side dishes, too, so some single men/women just bought them and as for rice, they prepare for themselves, because a single person at least have a rice cooker at home.
>>95 How did you get to know 2ch or this thread for that matter? You came here via 4ch/4chan or something?
Below is the thread for Q&A for Japanese English learners so take a peep some time. I know sometimes it's kinda difficult for a native English speakers to explain grammatical things because for you, it's too obvious. But we Japanese English learners sometimes need persuasive explanations to understand a grammatical points or other things related to English. http://academy6.2ch.net/test/read.cgi/english/1172797189/
>>98 I'm curious to know your search key word. You simply typed "2ch" or something?
Well, basically, here's a thread for chatting in English and that thread is for Q&A. (I've seen a question realated to English posted here though.) So checking the Q&A thread is a good idea. You can chat and have fun here and answer our questions there when you have time. Posts in that thread is fewer than this thread, though.
If you have something to ask about things Japanese, pop culture and stuff, then you can ask here. We Japanese English learners are eager to answer your questions.
>>101 That doesn't matter. Just chatting in English is the most important thing. Being too careful about making grammatical mistakes takes fun out of chatting.
>>100 I typed in "largest forum in the world". This came up :3 But I did not know the 掲示板 link was the forum. For more than a year, I had tried to find the forum part of this site, but couldn't find it. ww :3
So, yes, I am bright sometimes, and other times, I am not. ^.^;
>>101 The one word that does not belong in your message is "remind". You might want to use "correct", or "fix". ---------- I am not Japanese, but really hope to learn the language some day...
>>74 Pretty funny, I think. Can't say much about the quality of the translation, unfortunately. There are a lot of double entendres in the Swedish lyrics though.
Some context: It's a drag show group, and they are poking fun at some very well known TV celebrities known for DIY, cooking and home improvement type shows. (the people who show up on the screens) Hence the theme of "take matters into your own hands".
Looks like it's from one of the Eurovision Song Contest qualifier shows. The ESC has traditionally been popular with the gay community here, so it's perhaps not as surprising as it might seem.
I hadn't seen it before, but probably half the country has...
I hear that box lunchs of convenience store contain a lot of food additives and it is said that employees who make such lunches never eat them... this fact shows that food additive is dangerous to us! we have to care a lot about eating them, don't we?
>>108 I'm not 74. That's not translation, actually. It's transcribed humorously the way the Swedish lyrics sounds like to Japanese ears. So the sub's meaning is completely diffrent from the original Swedish lyrics.
hey guys, i have a very simple question. this is my first time to visit here so i wanna know if there're lotsa japanese here? coz i built a fun website for teachin and learnin english or whatever usin MANGA, VIDEO GAMES and lots. so if there're only few, its useless to show my website url right? anyway sorry for my freakin messy sentences. im lookin forward to see some reply.

The other day, when I was taking a train home taking a seat, almost every seat in the car was taken and the seat on the right-hand side of me was the only one which wasn't taken. Then, the train arriving at the next station, two girls came and stood in front of me, and I found they were both cute. And then, one of them said to the other one that she wouldn't mind if the other one took the seat. However, the other one refused her proposal and said the same words to her, and they repeated this again and again. Since I knew they were really cute, I offered them my seat and smiled at them. Then, they smiled at me, thanked me for my offering, and took the seats.
How do you feel of me?
Anyway, I want some native Eglish speakers to correct my sentences properly. Do any such people read this message board?
>>119 Very good English! I am a native English speaker. May I see more? ----- Is there a thread that teaches Japanese??? :-/ It might help in communications.
>>122 Do you read Hiragana, katakana and basic kanji characters?
I assume you are a high school student or very young at leat judging from your tone of writing. Just a hunch, though.
There used to be a thread for a Japanese learners overseas in this English board which were made for them to wirte something in Japanese or to ask a question abuot English. But it didn't last because here's a English board where English learners gather, not Japanese learners. It was considered that asking a question abuot Japanese is irrelevant to the aims of this English board of 2ch.
idk if all of you know me but I'm a Part-Time-Preacher of >>12. I've asked you to remove my name from the template, but it seems that nobody cares what I say. Anyway, now it helps me to start talking like this way.
I came back here after 3 months coz I was asked where people could learn English in 2ch. And the inquirer was complaining about this thread.
Then >>79 post told me that now イギリス人さん isn't coming so often as he used to be. It's sad to know but we can't force anything on him.
For the native speakers of English who want to learn Japanese, I've built the Japanese chat thread in anything and everything board. 日本語で雑談 (Chat in Japanese) Part 1 http://tmp7.2ch.net/test/read.cgi/mog2/1206066194/ That is not so active like this thread but feel free to visit and post anything you like in Japanese.
If スウェーデン人さん hates proxy restricrions dejima board maybe something you want. (Though it's likely that you've found it already..)
I'm glad to see this thread alive and hope all of you keep on communicating each other.
Language learning process is a journey on your own. Like traveling alone in desserted places. No one helps you. It's only yourself whom you can depend on. Of course, teachers teach you basics but from there on, it's a journey in the wilderness on your own.
Destinations are defferent from person to person. Some aim at climing Mt. Everest, some just want to lie on the beach in a resort. The former is you try realy hard to acquire native level fluency, the latter is you just learn the language just for fun. I don't mean which superior or not but it's you who decides which direction you go in.
If you want climb Mt. Everest, you have to be very determined and sacrifice everything to achieve the goal. Sometimes you lose your way in the middle of your journey at a loss. Some people get beried in deep snow and never come back. If you cry for help, nobody is around.
Sometimes you need a courage to stop climbing higher and go back to your base camp. I wouln't call them loser. I chose to climb Mt. Everest long time ago but now, I'm thinking about giving up reaching to the summit. Sometimes I feel like I'm almost freezed to death without any indication of summit in sight. I even don't know how high I've climbed.
People shouldn't try the Everest at first. Those who say such a thing don't know anything about other mountains. There are so many hills and mountains to go. But the Everest takes you all.
Real climbers have fun trying any mountains. But the crazy climber who desire the fame tend to like the Everest only.
...And yes I like the NES catridge of Crazy Climber.
>>128 Crazy Climber was a little before my time, but I have many fond (actually, more like frustrating) memories of 'アイスクライマー' on the NES. Those mountains were even more hardcore than Everest.
>>133 Where are you? I don't remember that game ever coming out here.
It's not fair, for some reason, here in Australia, we got a mixture of European and American releases for our consoles. I guess it doesn't matter anymore, because everything is distributed worldwide nowadays.
>>133-135 Oh you are here イギリス人さん. That is good reason for me to stay a bit longer.
And Ice climber.. Yeah. It's really serious games not concerning its comical icons and bgm.. I know so many friends troubling becouse of that game. lol
>>136 In the UK right now, but found Ice Climber originally while I was living in West Germany. Bought a copy of Snake Rattle 'n' Roll while visiting the UK once, but turned out it wasn't compatible with the European NES.
>>137 Apparently the seal characters were removed from the game and replaced by Yeti characters, because people were concerned that killing the seals with hammers was too much like controversial seal-clubbing. It's silly, really.
Devil World was released in Europe, but not in the USA, because they didn't like the use of religious icons (crosses and bibles, I guess...).
A teacher was working with a group of children, trying to broaden their horizons through sensory perception. She brought in a variety of lifesavers and said, 'Children, I would like you to close your eyes and taste these.'
The kids easily identified the taste of cherries, lemons and mint, but when the teacher gave them honey- flavored lifesavers, all of the kids were stumped.
'I'll give you a hint," said the teacher. 'It's something your daddy and mommy probably call each other all of the time.'
Instantly, one of the kids coughed his onto the floor and shouted,
hello, how is everyone? Sorry for disappearing all the time.Sometimes I just feel like I don't really have anything to say. ._.;; I heard there was a big earthquake in Japan recently, is everyone okay? hopefully not too many people got hurt.
Hey, white nationalist in this thread! How do you think about nigger woods's proceed to the playoff? Woods made a birdie putt at 18th hole and finished in a tie with a white man. What are 'real' white people's sentiments to this game? Most of common whites are rooting for Mediate at the bottom or their whites(but can't openly act) and wish Woods lose? Are spectotars there hypocrites or victims of multiculturalism? Who are they rooting for? When woods made a birdie putt, spectators were yelling with joy.
Nigger Woods has succesful pasts and future. I think he should give his seat to a white man.
If Mediate was an ideal white guy like Phil Mickelson, who is also an epitome of white family value, enthusiasm would be different. Mediate is an italian american and brown skinned.
Spectators were rejoicing with their hands up when mediate became one score ahead over woods. And when Woods couldn't make a birdie putt, which made him one score behind objectively, one chubby white guy were laghing with others' hypocritical voices of grief, ahhhh.
>>148 Not many people have died, maybe single digit number at the most. But it's rainy season and land is not sold absorbing lots of rain so I think they have to careful landslide when aftershock hit the region.
The talk of Japan and 2ch for that matter isn't the earthquake but the Akihabara rampage that happened about about a week ago. 25 year old man drive into pedestrians by a rented truck and after getting off the truck, he stabbed one after another at random. I think you know the news.
News programs started to focus on the murderer's background.
Japanese Welfare and Labor Minister mentioned the desperate situations of young Japanese nowadays. Most of them are quite hopeless of improving their working conditions.
>>148 It was a really big earth quake. Nearly same power as Hanshin earthquake. But it struck not big cities but the up-country so victims are limited. Now we can see a whole mountain vanished and not a few old refugees however. It's still widely reported everyday.
>>152 >>154 Well I'm glad that it wasn't too widespread then. Yeah, I think I heard about that stabbing psycho! Stuff like that is so scary! You never know when someone will just snap.
I'm not doing too much this summer. Hopefully i can practice my japanese again. I've been kind of neglecting it. :C
Sup keira? How's the weather like there? It's gonna be cloudy/rainny for the next few days over here. Don't mean to rush or anything, but are you gonna update you blog this summer? 'cause I feel like dropping a line or two there sometime. So yeah, let me know if you do.
>>156 Hi there. n_n The weather is already quite hot. around 90F , but it will be around 110F when July comes. Is it still rainy season in Japan? :O I probably will update my blog soon, but it will be REALLY big. I have a lot to talk about and a lot of pictures. >_>;;
>>157 Even better. I'm looking forward to it. I guess so, it's not too hot though. Mostly it's around 75F to 85F but getting humid lately. 110F would annihilate us here. lol
>>158 LOL, thanks Yeah, it's dry heat here. If it were humid I would just melt. :< when I was in Shanghai one time during the summer it was so hot I felt like I was walking around in an oven. It didn't seem to bother the natives though. o_o;
Have you ever notice that everything goes up in prices when gas goes up? I cant afford to buy the big Mac anymore. I have to settle with a fry and a small cake.. hahaha..
>>160 That's right, you went to China a couple of years ago. I guess they're used to it.. Did you have Shanghai-style fried rice there? It's supposed to have only egg and scallion in it, but I'm not sure if it's true, 'cause I've never been to Shanghai. Speaking of food, I have to go get something to eat for tonight. Talk to you later. ノシ
>>161 All the prices here are just getting ridiculous. I'm starting to feel robbed! :< Actually, I don't know about fast food (I don't eat it), but all of the food prices have grown considerably.
>>162 Oh! now that you mention it, A lot of the rice came with egg in it! Haha, i didn't know that it was a trademark! ttyl!
a increase in the price of oil raises that of many products in Japan however, for most people, their salary doesn't change I don't have any economic knowledge I wonder whether this situation is good or bad for economy of Japan
urbandictionary.com has already included a phrase 'bad fuel day' in their database. go figure. everyone being able to afford gas is the thing of the past.
Keira is a new pattern of racist. She just wants to be princess surrounded and praised by japs. She wants to be like a white girl in the movie of King Kong. King Kong is based on love affair between negro and blonde girl. But she doesn't go so far as to love negro just to get attentions. So he chose japs. She can fill her with pride by her generosity and jap's praise.
>>166 "Bad fuel day" Is a growing term on the news channels it seems.
>>170 I'm sorry that you have such a low opinion of me. But I would never think that I am better than anyone else. I'm just here to chat and talk to interesting people. Can I be your friend?
>>172 No, I'm not very wealthy at all actually. My family swore off fast-food because it's terribly unhealthy. I haven't made a vlog yet, but I will someday! ...*sigh*
Perhaps You don't drink carbonated drinks or shun them as much as you can, do you? America is too much of junk foods. But some americans seem to live contrary to typical american way of life and even go far beyond japanese standard. I've never met native japanese who openly shuned fast foods and carbonated drinks. But one returnee did.
By the way I think coca-cola is one of miracle foods. Maybe coincidence made this kind of miracle food. Sushi is one of coincidences, I guess.
>>176 Is that so? I guess because in japan there isn't an obesity epidemic. A lot of people are changing their ways because of this. Coca-Cola and Pepsi are both good on occasion. But when I go a long time without any and then try some again, it tastes terrible to me! xD Sushi is yummy though.<3
I guess because in japan there isn't an obesity epidemic.
Not necessarily these days. Metabolic syndrome is becoming a social problem in japan. Japanese government is urging exercises to middle ages and above and oblige them to take "metabo check" with public health insurance to reduce medical expenditure in a long run. Obesity enhances the chances of high pressure, high blood sugar and high fat, after all death. We can frequently see american advertisements like billy's boot camp, core rhythm and stuff like that on TV. They looks ridiculous and funny. I think most of japanese know Billy. Billy's boot camp was kind of social phenomenon last year. He came japan and was reported on TV a lot. I heard Billy was famous for taebo? in america.
http://jp.youtube.com/watch?v=2X06Q4a9Vqk They looks desperate to make them happy. Pretty comical. Overly facial expressions and moves are not japanese things. So look funny to me.
Are there any fetishists who bought it for sexual orientation? I think there must be. Even fetishist like 金玉八 exists. Why don't they?
Do you guys exercises regularly? You are all otaku tyae and never thought of being fit?
I do sit-ups and push-ups at least once in a week. My ab isn't devided imto six pack but it's hard enough. I'm sure even if a grownup male punch me in the ab, I don't fall down in pain.
That can work as an ice breaker when you meet a girl. Hey, I'm working out once in a week. You can punce me in the ab. Curious girls are eager to punch you in the ab and if they find yuor ab is really hard, they are impressed. But shy girls walk away without even trying to punch so you'd better choose curious type girls to show off your hard ab.
Ever since I cut down on junk food and started to make it a habit to eat healthy diet, I've started to feel much better about my physical well-being. This is true, but still I get the itch to shovel down greasy fattening heavily MSGed processed food every once in a while. Then, I get disgusted again and stay clean for a few months. Oh well, life goes on and on.
>>186 Me: Hey, let me punch you in the ab. She:No way, it must hurt. Me: But you punched me. It's my turn. She: No, it's you who told me to punch you. Me: I know. But it's like give and take. She: No way! Me: Come on, then let me rub your ab instead. It doesn't hurt. She: If you insist... Me: Here you go... How do you feel. She:Hmmmmmm..... I want more.....
<Kerokerorin> Outgoing, lots of friends, looks happy and energetic, athletic Know lots about Japanese "GAL" culture, fluent in Japanese.
<Magibon> Shy, indoor person, just know some Japanese words, knows lots about Japanese pop culture(especially, drama, J-pop) feeling smothered not being able to fit in American mainstream soical values.
Which do you want to sleep with? Then I would say I want to sleep with kerokerorin, but Which would you get married? then, maybe magibon. I don't have any friends and kerokerorin would get bored with me but Magibon would understand my situation.
Hi everyone. Do you know a video game, Street Fighter? My most favorite of all the series is Street Fighter 2X. Is anyone good at it? Is there anyone that can do cancel-technique including super combo?
>>198 Tha last game I played was pacman or Donkey kong or zebius. Never played 3D. You can tell my age.
Tell you what, you may think you are playing a game and fighting against enemies in the game BUT, in reality, you are just playing with developers of the software. All characters are desgined to move as developers intend them to do. You may think you are playing with a game, but it's just that game developers are kind of a babysitting you.
I've not slept with girl but if I could sleep together, I would choose shy girl selfish woman is not good I cannot count how many time I've been sweared by such a girl
>>199 well...but, my girlfriend is usually hesitating and show me embarrased face even though she seems feeling very nice and utter some voice. It is 3 years since I first do with her. Which is still short time in your opinion?
and, bofore I'm seeing with my current girlfriend, I had had an intercourse with casual partner just one time, but I didn't feel nice so much, that girl is also cute, though. Personally I think that doing many times with only one girl that one loves is best regarding to getting best pleasure.
>>205 She would do everything for you. If you ask her to hold you tight, she would give you a warm hug like mom. If you ask her to rub your dick, she would do it as if she handled the most precious thing on earth. The list goes on and on.........
>>203 If it were lasting yet in your mind, and you thought you were going off earlier than you lost it, there wouldn't be any problems.
But in most cases, it doesn't. It's not the problems of a period. That's why we want the idols(so-called) to keep their the virginity.
We can't stop making love with our partners, but we wanna make ourselves excited at same time. So our desires invented the existence of so-called idols. We need them.
>>209 what a nice woman she is... yes, it is her that I've looking for so far please show me her personal information in detail how old is she? has she married? perhaps she may have her children,...
I haven't read this magazine but mabe this magazine is a mixture of nude photos and swimsuits photo. Emily will appear in the magazine in swimsuit, I guess. I think she's started as a swimsuit wearing model but if her agency recognizes that she won't sell anymore, they would insist she do a nude model or an actor of a porn video. That's a common path a model who doesn't sell take after appearing in magazines as a model.
she isn't so evil to do such a terrible thing before you die, she would stop smothering drive into her breast wutout being afraid if you don't do, I do and make love with her
Do you believe ghost? I sure believe in spirit, soul, ghost and so on. It can be said that not unscientific person but scientific person is the very person who can understand those kind of things. Spirit is exetremely scientific, though most people think it's unscientific. However, I never mean that things like spirit turn out to be scientific phenomenon that simply looks psychic after scientific experiment. Things like pirit and so on are surely existing very scientifically just the same way as living things are existing on our world.
>>224 you mean that sprit must be exist because you think neoron cannot produce soul, doesn't you? it is strange that soul is produced by a substance phenomenon arond us is beyond our understanding
I don't know why, but Magibon's videos make me feel sad/disgusted.. She entitles some of her videos as "don't look at this", but it means quite the opposite... I'd like to say, "don't upload them if you don't want us to see them".. Girls like Magibon are too complicated to endure. Am I stupid?
>>227 You don't understand "particle" correctly. Particles of extremely small level are aggregation of energy. After all, our body or stone round there do not mean that there are matter existing there. So, some type of particle can exist on the same place of another type of particle overcrossly. That way, spirit of certain aggregation of particle is overlaping in our body. And brain is just media for spirit.
>>233 to sum up your opimion, you mean that mind is aggeration of small particle, don't you? and what you reffer to as “particles of extremely small” is a super string?
イギリス人 carefully looked at magibon while he pretended to show no interest in magibon. He poined out earlier that magibon's camera angle is excellent for hiding her long chin. Most of people didn't notice her monster chin at that time.
I think she's adorable, I wouldn't go for a chinless monster whose profile forms a seamless line around the chin and neck, at least. But, what works for me might not work for you, so there's no point in arguing over what I like but you don't. I rather like her modesty and intelligence than her appearance anyway.
I try not to participate in these sorts of discussions, normally, but just have to say that Magibon is infinitely preferable over Emily. I'm not a fan of this vlogging thing anyway.
>>241 Hmm? I don't think Magi's tits are big. Her tits may seem sort of big in some of her videos, and I'm supposing she stuffed something to make them look big, because her tits are not big when she appeared in the Gyao shows. I'd call it boob fraud.
Since she's quite tall, though not that skinny, and has got a strong ego to publicly appeal her presence to whatever audience she gets, which is not necessarily a bad thing to do, it seems like the most natural career path she would follow. My personal preferences aside, I don't see any problem with that.
"Let 10% of Japan be foreigners" - The Jews have finally reached Japan. Why do they do this? Why cant the Jews let people live in peace without importing niggers?
>>251 Maybe that's true. Like スウェーデン人 has a proxy blockage issue. I think it's mostly because some obnoxious trolls try to turn off or harass people like this.
>>254 Neither of them really appeal to me in looks, but I find Emily's personality extremely irritating and off-putting. Magibon's camera- staring and trying to speak in a high-pitched voice is kind of creepy, but it's better (in my opinion, at least) than Emily's arrogant and condescending rants - which are just really a wall to hide all her manic insecurities.
>>251 イギリス人 can post as always. But he can't post as much as before for his personal reasons, not a communication problem. イギリス人 and 米人 were the best contributors. I think 米人 disappeared for personal reasons too. rosia人 were also heavy user. Now he's gone.
K-tan was swedish too. I don't know whether she can post or not now. But she seemed to lose interest in this thread long before technological problem was reported. There was a long abscence of her. She came back suddenly and posted several messages in anonimity then stayed in the trip code name again for weeks or so and vanished again.
This thread have being accepting many new comers while some got bored and went away. Some went away and some come. I think this thread is perioccal and natural cycle of decline like economy. We should leave the flow as it is.
If we confined foreigners in another forum, this thread would be less active. And another forum would be the place of a cozy relationship within a few acquaintances. Sooner or later another forum would be obsolete too.
For me 2ch is still the biggest oppotunity of meeting and chatting with many customers(foreigners) in anonimity. Just preparing the shelter in case 2ch is closed is enough, isn't it? There should be a thread in 4ch.org which is in the same direction of this thread. How about 4ch.org?
>>257 That's what I felt too. I reckoned that her personality was due to american way of life as well as to her own traits. Don't you or british have same character as japanese(Shy and calm and cynical...?) to some extent even if you all speak same language?
Americans are too conscious of themselves. It's preferable for them to get attentions and it's not a shame to act aggresively for attention-getting. If they don't speak up, they are no better than dead. They are losers.
That's what I think about americans. I feel very embarrased many times watching americans hehaviors. because I am very shy and of reserved personality.
Kgkgk? is very rare person in Japan. We can say he is a weirdo and queer we can hardly meet in person in our lives. I can say he is hentai.
>>252 Are you finally reaching the realm of antisemetism plus the hatred of blacks? Please keep posting about racial agenda. You are unique and valuable in this thread. I think you are more usual in real life of america.
>>245 I prefer Magibon than Emily, too. But If Emily lies on the bed naked under the sheet and tells me to come up to her. I would jump to her and suck her nipples for more than an hour. I don't like her personality but her body, silk smooth and fine body is definately irrisitible.
>>262 KGKGKG is the worst 2channeller. He abuses and attacks Emily under anonimity and console her in her own blog. Emily didn't know the person who abuses her is KGKGKG so she thought KGKGKG was a nice man, consoling her. But that's KGKGKG's technique to be liked by her. Abusing under anonimity in her 2ch's thread and consoling her in her blog.
Emily now know KGKGKG'S technique so she ignores him most of the time, She said she won't meet KGKGKG in person even when she visit Kyoto, where KGKGKG lives.
This thread is picking up again. I thought just one or two days ago that I came not to see topics about boobs and youtube attention whores had disappeared on this thread lately..I felt somewhat empty. Now it's happening again. synchronicity...
It's a cycle. Someday we'll see noriaki or nanako anime character stories again.
Kato is pronunciated keito in the US? cool. We pronounce it katou. The name kato is familiar japanese name in the US, isn't it? Famous TV actor George Takei played the ship crew named Kato in Star Trek. I didn't know he can speak fluent japanese. I want to see him speak japanese. As an aside Takei come out as gay and lived with a white gay man. It's fun to see Kato as a gay in Star Trek. Some actions appeared to connote gay intentions. He was naked and went crazy in some episode.
Wow, I didn't know takei's name in Star Trek is not kato but filipino name Sulu. I'm a little disappointed to know that.. In japanese version Sulu is dubbed Kato.
And I'm disappointed again that a Korean actor again will play the role of (half) japanese. Do you know Pi rain? accepted the role of a japanese guy in speed racer( チキチキマシン猛レース), then he complained acting japanese coz he was korean. finally he succeeded in changing the character into korean. He put korean national flag patch on his costume in the movie. What a selfish jerk. Korean sometimes do unexpected things that we never imagine that'll occur. I think for the movie director that was beyond imagination.
Captain : obnoxious jew Scientist : Smart jew Pilot : japanese faggot navigator : russian jew and marxist chief communications officer : woman and nigger
Yukiko okada and hikaru nishida are opposite types. Hikaru was boyish and vivid. Yukiko was shy and reserved. I just want to say they both had big boobs and healthy body, plus cute face.
I heard she is a TV personality, philanthoropist and do good deeds for many causes. But to a person like me who don't know anything about her, she looks just like a fat middle aged woman.
I think the Jews manipulate the media to promote multiculturalism, I think they are promoting the big influx of non-whites to white countries. But if you study Israel, you will see that Israel is nearly 100% Jews. The Jews do not apply the same standards to themselves that they seek to impose on others.
Multiculturalism has been an unmitigated disaster. People are dying as a result of this failed attempt at social engineering.
It makes me sad to think about all the people who have died/been raped/been attacked by the blacks.
Oprah Winfrey recently opened a school in South Africa for black children.
As anyone who knows about South Africa knows... Living standards and wealth of the country have dropped since the end of white rule. It is now a country without law and order (rape capital of the world).
Winfrey was asked by a reporter what she thought of the fact the school was for black children only, people suggested this was racist. Oprah Winfrey replied that she 'didn't care' what white people thought.
She is also supporting Barack Hussein Obama in his Presidential bid.
a old woman died in a hospital becouse she was injected with nourishment which ic contaminated by bacterias it is considered that bacterias was mixed into it since a nurse used conservated one
as for the president of the hospital, he denied his involvement and during his interview, he said “I have no bathtub , so I shouldn't have believed principle that making money is the most important”
incidentary, his excuse was so interesting that I could't help laughing
>>297 Nothing is funny about your post. Why did you add lol at the end? Do you think if you add lol to the end of your post, anything goes or anything looks funny? No way.
FIREFOX 3 RUINED MY LIFE. I don't know why but it made my hard disk go gggguggguguguggguggg like a trojan or some malicious software. Like once every 10 minutes. So I had to go back to Firefox 2. Also, the new bookmarks pane sucked.
whike western woman speak English or other language, she apprears to be attractive and also looks beautiful however, if she comes to speak Japanese, she doesn't look beautiful for me and then, I realize that she isn't different from normal Japanese
since I can't understand what she says, I'm attracted to her all the more
>>308 I know what you mean when she speaks English or other languages you don't understand, then she is mysterious and your imagination stretches. But once she speaks Japanese, then she's not mysterious anymore.
>俺は「あなたに重荷をおろしてすみません・・」とマギ >その時に「私のファンが私を弁護してくれなかったら私は何をするかわからない」といわれたよ。 >もちろんすぐあとで私は立ち直りが早いから大丈夫といわれたがな >おまえみたなやつが苦しめてきたんだ。俺は2ちゃんに来なくなってからもマギと連絡 >とってたがおまえはどうだ? This person made public what he and Magibon talked in private. (Oh, he betrayed Magibon's trust. Poor Magibon.) Anyway, that's not the point.
The problem is, does Magibon have a mental problem? She says she doesn't know what she'll do if her fans don't defend her. And I don't know where her fans are. It seems to me like Magibon had faith in this guy but you know what... Who she thought might be one of her fans turned out to be a traitor. What is Magibon gonna do about it? Breaking computers?
This translation is maybe wrong. You need to see her original English instead of translation. maybe That should be 私はどうしていいかわからない。 I don't know what to do, or something.
>>321 About Magibon, a famous youtuber in America, losing her mind. I guess that's a typical thing for a person to say like when her love cheats on her... Scary..
>>318 I think he believes he alone can protect Magibon. But as I see it, Magibon says such things to everyone. lol Poor man. he's so naive that he opened personal things. Now I see better what Magibon is like. She's just disgusting.
>>325 Go see Youtube videos of Magibon staring at you like dummy or if you have a niconico acount, then it also does the trick. She's whoring on the Internet.
one who youve been thinking was nice can surprise you letting its one aspect which it has kept as its trauma because even a fine person is one who carried its own burden somewhere in its life, see?
What is the opinion of 2channelers on attention whoring?
Today the owner of 4ch spoke for the first time in a long time. He said he was very pissed off with the way the quality had declined.
I blame attention whores for a lot of the problems. On 4ch there are a lot of girls who camwhore. It is not good for the quality of a board. Is there such a concept as 'camwhore' on 2channel?
Q what do u do 4 luv??? r we havin fun yet??? yea well English, japan, Court life... hmmm luv me wit ur eyes... undress & Luv me cause when I'm sexin u I',m next ta u it's alright!!!! Cum hold me I'm closin in!!! Happy Birthday baby!!!
>>333 I think there's a bunch of boards here for that sort of thing. It's like where there's demand for it, there comes some supply and possibly some business crops up from it. Or even some professionals may drop images for advertisement or market research purposes. I doubt people go out of their way to bash those girls or operate a negative campaign, though, unless either some sort of business interest is involved or they hold a fanatical aversion to them.
>>341 hello, just until now, I'd watched movie it was so boring and I might as well sleep on bed as watch it but my taste is strange, so othes may say it's interesting
by the way, some people might wonder why I have such time to watch movie in this afternoon and they may even suspect that I am a Neet!
needless to say, i'm not NEET, but I'm not different from it, maybe
>>343 that's great, wacthing a movie is great when you are nothing to do and boring. btw you are some kinda neet! but thats OK... Because it seems that therere much more plenty of neets around the world who are not officially counted than those who are.
>>343 yes, I have a great many friends in the world! I don't have to grieve over my unfortunate circumstance when I despair of something, all I have to do is to imagine my friends by doing so, my worries would disappear and beautiful light illuminate my way ahead
ok, I had witten what I want to say next, you please explain why you are free today to me
>>349 Thank you for your response! I like studying English, but I can't write and listen it well... I will face the university enterance examination year after next. So I must practice English!
some employees in hot spring resort say that temperature of bath rised before earthquake occured in Tohoku destrict this may be foretaste of earthquake I hope that this phenomenon contributes to the study of earthquake
hollo evrybody as people in this thread often talk about Emily, I watched her on youtube! though she is narcissistic a little, she is very pretty and attractive! she is glamorous but I heared that she got deteriorated these days this is true or rumor ?
Some idiots think it's photoshopped, but in fact she uploaded it on her blog before, which means she's deleted it now, though. Magibon was desperate for attention at that time.
Do you know Magibon used to post in 2ch, here in the English board?
Just watch this video at first: http://jp.youtube.com/watch?v=-6NqUmu4wA4 And then google this tripcode : ◆U2cdYrhXD6 You'll find her posts quite easily. Actually I had a friendly conversation with her back then. Now she seems advised not to post in 2ch like before. I don't know if she's anonymous now. You know, according to a Gyao rep, it seems Gyao ordered her not to participate in conversation even in her own threads where she appeared quite a lot like everyday, even though the rep admitted that Magibon still seems to be reading 2ch.
>even though the rep admitted that Magibon still seems to be reading 2ch.
What do you mean?
I think she is peeking her thread on Youtube board but never heard that Gyao admit that.
I think she's kind of rude. She disappeared from the thread without saying good bye. It's people there in the thread who told her Gyao was contacting her and some people translated what Gyao's staffers said into English. And once she got a chance to appear on media such as Gyao, she tries not to contact with people in the thread.
What do you think about me, who is 39 years old and all I can do on Saturday afternoon is gosipping about Emily and Magibon and commenting about their boobs.
All right. I decided I keep on living and posting a comment like, Emily is boobs look yummy and all. I feel like I'm a garbage or something.
Her debut on a Japanese magazine is in August. That's what she said in her blog. She'll be in a bikini in sensual poses. She doesn't seem to live in Nagoya. She seemed to be lying because a stalker followed her to her room before and she doesn't want to reveal where she lives. That's what I heard.
She said in her blog as if she has been shuttling back and forth Nagoya and Tokyo, but if you think about time it takes to go back and forth between Tokyo and Nagoya, her entries condradict.
So in conclusion, it is said that she actually has been living in Tokyo but pretends to live in nagoya.
Do you know Moe Oshikiri? Compare these two videos. Shocking and funny. I knew she was bullying girl type and she was disguising herself as a woman with class, but I didn't know that she was so ugly and coarse when she was younger.
>>389 I recognized that she was operated on for her face it is not too much to say that she is a second Michel Jackson she is very different from what she was in high school
bur, since she has a dark past, I like her all the more she has a quit strong mind we should follow her
Liars are always explaining why they lie to others. But that's nothing. They lie because they'd like to lie. Don't listen to their explanations because their explanations are another lies.
If you didn't wanna be noticed where you live, you shouldn't tell nothing about it.
>>400 It's the greatest paradise known to humans. You'll like it very much, that I'm sure of. As a matter of fact, you're now an honorable Saitamajin that you can't refuse to be, as I endow you here. You should be proud.
Hey cocksuckers. How does it feel to suck your own puny dick? Oh shit, I forgot, you're all men without a dick, so you can't suck a cock even if you wanted to. Fucking pathetic cunts.
hello, my friends I have a question about Emily. I watched the movie of Pikatyu-bread in youtube and then I found Emily pretty but, did Emily actually make the movie for herself? if so, she is very talented!
>>406 Yeah, I think she makes her videos on her own. I don't know if she's talented or not but at least she seems to enjoy making videos.
She appears on Stickam, which is kind of like live broadcating on Internet. It's like chatting with webcam. She does Stickam chatting about once a week so if you're interested in participating in a live chatting session of her, check her blog. She usually announces there when she'll start stickam chatting.
I read somewhere someone's post saying she's no longer interested in making videos on Youtube. She has just started working as a model so I think she keeps trying to get connected with her "fans" on her blog and Stickcam. Not Youtube any more.
She seems to be working as a model today for the magazine she'll appear on in August. Check her blog and you can see some photos of her wearing a bathrobe. That means she is wearing a swimsuite under it if I'm not wrong.
thank you for giving me a lot of information about her if I feel inclined to talk with her, I'll participate in that chat or peek at the chat anyway, Pikachyu-bread is quit unique and I've not have watched such kind of movies so far
>>373 Several people - myself included - disappeared from 2ch around the same time because it became impossible to post from non-Japanese addresses. I spent a few weeks trying different ways to post (the 2ch firefox extension, proxies, etc) but gave up after a while.
>>414 So, that's the one and only reason you insisted to your boss you move here in Japan, I take it. Seriously though, magibon stopped posting before IP regulations were done as far as I know.
She has changed her attitude toward posters in 2ch right before Gyao decided to invite her to Japan. Chances are Gyao instructed her to stop posting in 2ch, because 2ch has negative images and they thought her posting in 2ch would make a bad impact on her prospective carrer in show business in Japan.
They are seeing how she keep her popularity on Internet, including the number of views on her Youtube video and acesses to her blog. Plus, the number of viewers of her pay per watch program on Fuji TV online program featuring her. And the numbers of viewers on her Gyao programs.
If they decided she would be able to deliver in Japanese market, they'll make her make Japan debut. That's what she's dreaming, too.
Hey merkin, this is off topic, but do you still have the website you made that contains useful info on Jane Style? I'm sure some of heavy 2ch users from overseas would appreciate that page, if you don't mind, since I don't see anything that's written about it in English.
>>421>>422 By definition, everything here is on topic. And I'm the only merkin I know of that's posted here. However, I have no idea what "Jane Style" is; refresh my memory?
>>424 Aha. I wrote a tutorial thing on the 2ch extension for firefox, but I've never used Jane Style. These days, I'm using jd, which appears to be a unix semi-clone of Jane Style.
>>425 Ah I see. For some reason, I thought you wrote about how to use Jane Style. I don't know how I got them mixed up. Well, it was quite a while ago...
New adjective, "blue-oral". Definition; [attributive] disparaging a person, a group of people, a nation by spreading a rumour that they are perverts. Origin; Japanese news agency, "Daily-Mainichi" had reported for five years in it's column contributed by Ryan Connell in order for the nation Japan to be believed to be perverts without any fact and with clear intentions of refusing to accept any possible claim. Mainich News Agency is known to have a blue trademark. And in this series of insultation, they had reported once that Japanese mothers habitually have oral-sex with their sons.
Hello people. My name is Luboska I using internet and i think about dating with othe person man from other country. I try find some dating site but i can't write letters to man because i don't have credit cart.... I post it mesage at this forum: I WANT FIND MAN TO LONG TIME RELATIONSHIP AND MARRID. I want tell some more information about me. I am single GIRL. if you want start correspondent with me please write to my e-mail address: [email protected] I will waiting you letter soon. Luba.
Anyway.. Now it seems that I understand the whole situation.
You native English speakers need lots of Japanese people who are capable as English speakers. And they must be also motivated well.
So, just moving is not enough for you, right? If all of you moved into aother small space, whatever it might be, should be like an uninhabited island to you.
You natives really need this English board, where numbers of Japanese people are talking about English themselves. But now you have troubles with posting here from each of your reasons.
Then the problem looks getting a bit complicated...
1) You may search for another proxy and use it until it'll have restricted.
2) You can pay 2ch for using your domestic proxy. Or ask your Japanese friends to set some proxy servers at their homes.
3) You may move into an uninhabited island of your own accord.
Have you gone completely insane? Don't so picky. Don't take it out on me! I know too much. What is it to you? You're weired. You're hard man to know. You're disgusting. I didn't ask you to do things like this. You ask my opinion, then you don't take it.
X You may search for another proxy and use it until it'll have restricted. O You may search for another proxy and use it until 2ch will have shut it off.
I know you've never asked me anything. Your opinion? Would you like to point it out again if you pls?
>>436 If you were >>258, I might ask your handle name at first. Coz I've never asked >>251 & >>255-256 to any anons around here. I don't wanna be mean to you. But now you seem to be able to post here and it means that you can't act for all of them. You'll be sure about what I say after reading this below.
I don't mind if this thread itself is getting lively or not duaring a certain period. So long as it doesn't stop completely.
I mind not the situation itself but what the situation implies. I minded only why most of the people who used to enjoy posting here were vanished all at once.
>>258 just said "leave this thread as it is". And now I agree with this point too. But if they wish they'd had another choice, I would like to do something for them. I think we'd better to do. It shouldn't be just a refuge from 2ch as I said. When we move somewhere, new place must be better equipped than the former place.
One more thing. >>258 mentioned to 4ch.org. But actually I know nothing about 4ch.org. I took it for 4chan.org and mixed them up. Excuse me for it.
Hi,Mark. I gave just imformation for studesnts. Many students know G-edu is not nice company. And many students has furastration. It is difficult to book at NOVA. One of my NOVA friends was worried about XanXruptXy again.
>>432 That's one of the reasons, actually - in the American South, people pronounce "American" like "merkin". The other reason is that "merkin" is an amusing word: it means "pubic-hair wig".
>>440 I'm none of those you've been talking to, but maybe it'll be easier for them to see if it's worth a visit if you set up a site and advertise it here. Otherwise, no one can really agree or disagree with you. Note that I'm neither encouraging nor discouraging you to do something, though.
>>448 I see. Then I'll listen to you just for reference. Thx.
I asked it to them before my doing it coz I was not sure if they were still around. I've been afraid of it, but it looks that those people ain't here any more except イギリス人さん.
And now he seems to avoid getting concerned with this topic. I guess he has no proxy problems now and doesn't need to think about it. His attitude told me that he had no interest in this topic at least. I like this kind of indications. It's quick and smart.
In fact イギリス人さん is much better at managing this kind of tasks than I am. If he had needed it, he should have worked it out already.
No one is so eager for this proposal. Now I don't think it worth trying to me. Anyway I had to ask them once to find it out.
>>450 One thing I don't understand is why you act like a moderator or something. You hadnn't come here for a long time and after long absence you suddenly started worrying about this thread and posters here? That doesn' make sense at all. Do you think you are special or something? Nahh.
I said the anyone could be special when the person did something special.
I think being special is not the steady status. It depends mostly on how the person act and even on how the person think.
...Special doesn't always mean superior, you know. And you are already special person to me. Coz you seem to hate something special but never stop talking about special matters.
>>457 Sorry. I'm not better than just one "Engrish" speaker(/poster) as you see above... Anyway, my "Engrish" maybe gradually improving. I owe it to a certain YouTuber (I was motivated by her at first), My chat teacher (She is very bright and tolerant indeed) and of course this thread and people who used to be here.
I will look at color when you get home. I really don't know which ones you are looking at? There is no 420TC that I could find. Also, don't want Egyptian Sheets, those are like the blue ones that your mum got us, and they are not as soft and they get little balls on it.... I will show you when you get home. The ones we like the best are the Sateen Sheet, not Egyptian. We will look when you get home.
>>450 Actually, I'd been thinking for a while about making a similar board just so everyone could join in, but was waiting to see what the reactions would be like... I was just being lazy and letting you do the research work for me, sorry.
>>469 You're the most diligent person MDP ever in this thread. Everyone knows it! I've done those researches coz I just wanted to do. You don't have to be sorry for anything.
But I wanna ask you one thing if you can write a code like messengers' extensions and modify some GPL chat server program.
I myself have never used one but I've read some articles before saying that some messenger clients have twitter extensions and those're useful when we post something to twitter from IM clients.
In our case, both a chat server program and a client's extension will be needed. Server must be working for usual chat first, and also it shows this thread, even re-posts the chat conversations there to this thread at same time. (Note 1: This might be regarded as a violation against 2ch agreements. Though I'm not sure about it.) (Note 2: The server program must have time regulation for re-posting so as not to be restricted from 2ch.) (Note 3: We need at least one Server holder in Japan. The person must meet our needs.) (Note 4: The server should be able to re-post to this thread only.)
About a client, A free platform popular client will be desirable. The chat member must be selected somehow, for example, what they've written here before.

What do you want me to do about it. What's wrong with it? I can stand it no longer. Speak for yourself. You humiliated me. I'm gonna do it. I want you to be prepared. You'll be sorry for this. Take it back!
I know, a lot of what you say is true. I have some major issues that I need to work through. I need you to be a little more supportive and positive towards me and I too will do the same. I am a work in progress, wish it would happen over night! At least you have given me hope now, so let us both start on it today. I have an appt. with my counselor this Monday at 1:00 if you want to go? Otherwise, next time.
small question... I am a white teenager girl, and i always liked Japanese guys, but i also see that it's rare for a Japanese guy to date a white girl,i see more japanese girls date white guys... I look very different from a japanese girl : i have blonde hair, i have very white skin color,i'm little taller then japanese girls are... And as i saw japanese guys prefer girls who act like them, little shy, polite and you get it(i hope...) Well everyone always said to me that i act like a japanese girl..i know japanese,i know japanese culture well,i have japanese friends ...and my friend(japanese friend) once told me that if i wasen't looking so different in the look, nobody would ever guess i'm not japanese. Right now i'm not living in japan, but i'v been there and i think of going to live there for long time(lifetime), i want to have a japanese boyfriend but i think that it doesn't matter how japanese do i act or that i know japanese, i think japanese guys are gonna be kind of scared of me,and won't even try to know me just because of my look ...i know it's a kind of weird question and nobody might know, but is there any chance i will be treated as japanese just because i am who i am and not because of how i look like? by nikki 2008/6/24
I'm Japanese, and there is one simple question that has been bottled up in my mind so far. these days, more and more foreigners (especially western people) come to Japan and some of them live here.
WHY?
in my opnion, they come here just because they want to absorb people's attention I cannot come up with other reaosons if you have another reason, please tell me
>>479 I moved to Japan because I wanted a change from life in America, ave been interested in Japanese culture and art for quite a while, and so forth. I certainly didn't move here because I'm an attention whore; I don't like undue attention, actually.
Let me get trolled just for the hell of it. It depends on where you're from, but as you know, Japan is not a multi-ethnic society, so the concept of being a citizen might be totally different from that of your country, and you know it's less likely that you'll be instantly regarded as Japanese by appearance, esp your blonde hair. This might sound a bit twisted, but knowing and acceptingthe fact that you'll be treated differently on occasion is actually a part of being Japanese, in my opinion. As for your personal love life, it really depends on the person I guess.
Ey guys, I was jus thinking.... wouldnt it b nice if Japanese national lang is English??? People who speak English have more easier life....... Suicide rate in Japan indicates ppl got stressed and shit..... I think thats because of Japanese. In English there are no any honorifics, so less stress.
>>495 Are we talking about the same England here? Do you think it's cute when the fat ones sway from side to side or when the drunk ones stagger around and fall over?
>>482 Mostly. Even though I can't understand much Japanese, my day-to-day life is still OK; I'm not in danger of starving or being unable to use the subway or anything like that.
The hardest part is not being able to talk to people very well. It's very frustrating to be unable to say more than a few very simple things, especially since I have a large English vocabulary.
You can't participate in the culture if you can't communicate.
Or はてな also has such kind of a service called はてなハイク. ttp://h.hatena.ne.jp/ (はてなハイク seems like a really small community so it maybe hard for us to fit with them.)
All of us need not to post there but to just register ourselves and chase handles. We can join it from our IM clients or browsers' extensions too.
We might have a common suffix and call ourself suchlike ****@CiE (Chat in English) or ****@MRN (moron) or ****@PVT (pervert).
>>440 I understood approxiamately what you meant. I spoke for me, anonymous user's standpoint. I don't wanna lose foreigners here.No forum can be populous and attract people as 2ch, I guess. After all 2ch's power invited them and will invite next イギリス人.
It's no use to cry about visitor's going in and out of this thread. It's a flow of people. I brougnt cases of 米人 and k-tan. I think they went off voluntarily.
But we should solve technical problems if they exist. Technical problems shun foreigners of today and foreigners of future. New site should be a temporary asylum, a supplement to 2ch. If 2ch got fixed. nothing could surpass 2ch in the senses of accomodating and attracting people and the taste (of 2ch).
After people with internet names here(mostly foreigners) would have never met each other without 2ch.
And I meant 4chan.org.I don't know スウェーデン人 visits a 4chan's thread. I know hardly about 4chan either. I think just putting in >>1 the link of the thread スウェーデン人 has been posting messages on is enough at this point.

>>525 It's an american way. killing people directly who you hate. Many 2channeler wonder why kato couldn't kill his supervisors who he was furious with.
Real? Noriaki is real. He is also reclusive but has entered more prestigious university than kato. I think noriaki and kato were at the same academic level in junior high. Both are from tohoku, north east of japan.
I have a dream I want to drive through a huge farming district in America It must be very refreshing! if there is anyone who have done before, please explain your experiences
>>509 Hmm... sounds possible. Was just working on writing both server and client parts of a communication tool, a couple weeks back. That was a Flash client, though, with a Java socket server. The only problem I can see is with registration, as most people (I think) would prefer anonymity. It's either a case of keeping anonymity and risking people who abuse the system (by spamming or whatever), or registration and a smaller userbase.
>>530 You have to be careful with peace signs here. With the palm of your hand facing outwards, it's a peace sign, but with the palm of the hand facing inwards, it's a mortal insult.
>>535 Have you ever heard of "Oxbridge accent"? Does it really exist? http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E7%99%BD%E6%B4%B2%E6%AC%A1%E9%83%8E This guy is said to have used "Oxbridge accent" proudly and looked down on Americans. In my opinion it doesnt matter for japs to use Oxbridge accent. Japs are japs.
And didn't you hanker for entering one of two universities? Your dad is probably one of thier alumni. Bureaucrats, especially diplomats are likely to be from Oxbridge, aren't they. Oh, sorry you dad is canadian.. Still your class and wealth of your family must have been enough for entering Oxbridge. Is Oxbridge hard even for diplomat's son?
hahaha. I may be 535 and I meant >>533, イギリス人. And thank you for your information. I may have seen a photo of a hispanic gang showing reverse peace sign.
>>534 That's actually the first time I've heard it referred to as an 'Oxbridge accent'. We usually just call it 'Received Pronunciation', and associate it with the BBC. It's sort of like an 'accentless' accent, engineered to be most the most understandable in broadcasting conditions.
You're correct about diplomats and Oxbridge, though - a large number of them are alumni of those universities. Personally, though, I didn't even try to get in either of them. Neither are really geared towards computing, and even though classed as prestigious, there are better universities for that department. As for entry, though, it's mainly about class rather than results, so a huge proportion come from public schools.
>>478 http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=sZBOeLzoDGk Yes, looks matters. Nobody can tell he is (canadian) japanese from his looks. Even If we hear him speak japanese, we are not sure he is japanese because he has thick accent.
And he must be in minority in Canada too. He is speaking to the residence of japanese biggest yakuza(mafia) family with megaphone. lol He was telling the stories of Zionist and Bush conspiracy and earthquake machine and microchip in the brain and so on.. He urged yamaguchi gumi to change into business corporation.
Yes, I do agree with jewish conspiracy. But he went too far.
Is he イギリス人? He is also deplomat's nd calls himself anglo-saxon.
>>543 Thank you for answering me sparing your valuable time.
>It's sort of like an 'accentless' accent, >engineered to be most the most understandable in broadcasting conditions. So It's not somethig to be sarcastic and superior to commons. Rather vice versa. I'm not sure I could make it understood correctly. Let me quote japanese original sentences.
I'll try to translate them into English in my humble English.
There was a famous episode that Shirasu replied "Maybe your English will improve, too, if you study a little harder" in response to GHQ civil administration chief Courtney Whitney's words to Shirasu "Your English is good". This episode doesn't only mean that shirasu retorted to Whitney because Shirasu was a good English speaker for japanese. This episode includes these backgrounds as follows. There is a distinctive accent called Oxbridge accent which only students and instructors from Oxford and cembridge speak,( And people who speak Oxbridge acccent get reasonable treatments everywhere because the UK is class society) Shirasu's English was Oxbridge accent. On the other hand, even univirsities of ivy league were based on Oxbridge and Whitney graduated from Geroge Washington University, which was famous for opening the gate widely to commoners. All in all Shirasu's reply was a cynicism to redicule these three points. Origin of Whitney(American) Academic background of Whitney Whitney's ignorance to praise shirasu's English not knowing Oxbridge accent.
But jap was a jap? dont you think so? I think syumei okawa was more honorable.
1. Anyone know/watch the show Grey's Anatomy? I've never seen it myself, but today I walked past them filming it out on the street. It's always cool to see how they set up shots, with the guys wheeling these big cameras around. There was a big crowd gathered around the outside.
2. I always bum around an hour or two in the bookstore, and today when I went to the travel section, there were two Japanese girls there. They were flipping through the Tokyo guidebooks and chatting in Japanese. I hovered next to them pretending to read a random book, trying to eavesdrop, but I couldn't hear them very well. Combination of them speaking really quickly and quietly, and my listening being the suck. (;_;)
3. There's this group of black guys who are always in the same place every day. They have a CD player and they try to get random people to listen to their CD and maybe buy it. I'm walking past them, and the guy starts to try talking to me. I glance up at him, wave him off and say, "No thanks." But as I'm walking through them, I hear the guy behind me say, "You look ? as a motherfucker!" I was listening to my mp3 player so I missed the most important word. His tone of voice suggested it wasn't a compliment, though. w I wonder what he said...
Bows and flows of angel hair And ice cream castles in the air And featherd canyons everywhere I"ve looked at clouds that way But now they only block the sun They rain and snow on everyone
>>524 I know what you've said before. But I don't think 2ch has a power of itself. 2ch system is never accomodating and attracts nothing except their sponsors. What you regarded as accomodating and attractive should be the people here. The people have a power.
And again, I think 2ch doesn't need any supplements now. If it did, it should be the very matter that 2ch administrators were responsible for. None of my business. I'm just searching for a "way out" of 2ch to have "another choice". It might have the power when people seriously need it.
Also I think you'd better stop talking as if you were 米人さん or any other handles here.
Before a month or two, I found スウェーデン人さん somewhere outside of 2ch. Now I'm not sure but it wasn't 4chan. FYI. Just try googling.
>>533 Thank you for your response. A flahs client? Like a sort of widgets? It seems really interesting topic..but I've given it up as I said above.
In my past idea, registrations must be required only by the handles who are troubled with their proxies. Anyway, I can hardly tell them from other abusers. Yes you're right.
One more thing about anonymity. If we started Twitter together, we could easily see our relativity that was always covered by 2ch. (Strictly speaking, Twitter also can be a anonymous way of communication though.)
My post here is one post and nothing more. I don't know how much people are reading mine and who they are. One abusing AA, one shout of racists, one doodling of juniors, every post must be treated equally here except >>1. That is 2ch's equalization for good or for bad.
However in the case of Twitter, it might be different. That is not the matter of anonymity but it slightly binds the people for sure.
I estimate that everyoen here doesn't know the fact concerning to rabbits

>>574 >>578 However, I like go shopping in Japan rather than in Hong Kong. I think Hong Kong is too bustling. It is too crowded. People get tensed and crazy easily. The buildings are too tall and making the air pollution worse and making
I love Netherland Dwarf the best. And I found that I'd almost forgotten NOVA Usagi...
>>582 Thx. Is that Hong Kong city where an amusement park full of characters suchlike Disney, Sanrio, Doraemon, and stuff stands? I remember the articles on the net and it was kinda funny. Even cute.
>>588 Yes. There is a Disney Land in Hong Kong. However, most Hong Kong people criticize that it is a bad idea to build this. The park is just half finished because Hong Kong Government does not have enough money to invest. It is totally different from Universal Studios where you can not finish all games in 1 day.
>>592 No. I think Ebisu Jeans is really cool. In fact, I have 3 pairs. Many Hong Kong people ,including me, think it is a great brand. However, I want to know the truth. Is it famous in Japan? or We Hong Kong people just think it is famous in Japan and actually it is not. Because I didn't see many Japanese wore it when I visited Osaka.
>>396 This topic was common here long time ago. over 300? I used to save more than 400 photos in my PC but I got bored with them and deleted all of them.

America will be the biggest supporter of North Korea all over the world. I think it's time Japan decided to stand on its own two feet and stopped counting on America for political matters. America isn't Japan's friend.
Don't trust America, don't trust Bush. America is the worst enemy of the world now. America destries the nature and will never do anything against global warming. Because of America, we are experiencing unprecedented crisis of skyrocketing increase of gas price and food price. America is the strongest and worst enemy of the humans. We must fight against it.
>>613 Shut your filthy big mouth up, idiot. America is justice. Everything it does is always correct and has never been wrong because it's JUSTICE!! Keep in mind the end justifies the means. America is the only one that can understand the meaning of it.
I don't mind lifting restrictions on North Korea but before doing it, America should make North Korea abondon its all of nuclear wepons if there are nuclear bombs, it would make no sense to lift restrictions
But US is much better than any others. In fact, we must put the more responsibility on China in this case. And make it shared with Russia of course. It's a pity that South Korea is no longer reliable. They just followed the majority and they will do so forever.
a little drunky drunk last night? anyhoots whats on your agenda today? did you want to go to dinner tonight?....I am really tired... all kinds of shit going on around here marlyn is driving me absolutley nuts...j
It's been a while. These days Yukorin enthusiasts are here and there (maybe the same person) in this thread. Good to know that he/they are still alive.
In tokyo octopus balls are popular. But the price is much higher and some shop is selling the image of long tradition like tsukiji gindako. But It's a lie.
Octopuses are very intelligent creatures; in fact, they are proven to be more so than the majority of Osakajin, while this tendency is seldom observed in other regions. It is therefore justifiable to eat takoyaki elsewhere but should be banned strictly in Osaka.
>>652 You watched the Internet program Emily made appearance in. She did a pretty good job but the program was kind of boring partly because the comedians in charge of MC were not so funny, partly because Emily doesn't know how to react to them in a funny way with witts and jokes. That can't be helped though because she has just gotton into show business.
>>654 In the two hour long program they talked about octopus. I don't remember exactly what they were talking about but Emily was saying Western people can't eat octopus or something like that.
The quality of the program was too low to keep watching it for the whole hours, so I was net surfing while the show was going on.
>>642 I don't know it's because of indirect influence of american jew media. But there are pressure and belief to belive that all races are equal. Most of japanese believe all races are equally biologically and genetically and some doubts negro's euquality and can't say openly. But negroe's inferiority don't mean we are superior. Negroes are just exceptional.
I think japanese are not as racially aware as whites. Japanese don't think we are superior because of race. Even if some think we are superior , many japanese may atrribute superiority to environmental factors.
And we still don't see as many negroes as you. It's possible that the more we get to know negroes, the more likely we are to come to the same conclusion as you. When most of us come to believe negroes are inferior and can't openly say this belief , it's a compulsion and not freedom of speech. You whites are in this situation now? You must be stifled everday. Stormfront and Vangurad news network is one of your solutions?
White (nationalists) belive superiority in every aspects : their beauty(face and structure), their intelligence, their physical ability and etc We japanese might exceed whites in some categories. But we attribute this to extrinsic factors like education and effort. And we can't have pride in our appearance.
Yes we saw the extreme praise of japanese race few years before the end of the war. But it was a counter-reaction to our enemies, american and british whites. It was not out of our true emotions.
http://www.wider-than-pictures.com/pictures/setsuko_hara.jpg She was the biggest female star in japanese cinema indursty between pre wartimes and war time. I don't know how foreigners feel. Japanese think her nose, eyes and mouth are way bigger than average japanese. She looks caucasian in many aspects. There was a rumour that Setsuko Hara was a quarter german.
Yes, we have beautiful japanese who are very japanese looking. I've never seen beautiful negroes who are (look) not mixed with whites.
I suppose that even negro haters in japan would feel pity for negroes and think their enviroment is responsible for negro misfortunes.
I'm not sure about negro inferiority. But I'm beging to doubt negro equality too. At least there must not be a taboo to scientific research. Dr.Watson, who may have said the right thing, was bashed hard and made to apologize.
>658-659 That was the most bullshit filled rant about shit I've ever heard. I just read about an asshole who loved being an ass. It's hilarious because you're racist and don't even realise you are.
I've seen a caricature of a jew who wrapped globe around with his tentacles. And octopus is called devil fish. Jew = devil = octopus Does osakajin purport to eat jews?
I have to report this hidden fact to an australian journalist hired by Mainichi Shinbun.
But wait a minute. Westerners hate jews so much that they can't eat(embrace) them. Osakajin loves jews so much that they can eat(embrace) them. Osakajin are not jew haters after all.

I want to practice my discussion skill, but there is no chance to speak in English in my daily life. But writing here and exchange some conversations is useful for me. BUt this is a chat thread so I can't write a long text, in addition to that, I want to discuss about one serious theme. Do you think many people would participate in that thread if I would make one?
I want to hear how 2channelers think about it. If many people say yes, I would like to make one discussion thread. but for the beginners, I think we need to translate the texts. Also I am thinking about going to the other international forum and do the "synchronized" discussion.
I'm going to look for a "requesting a new thread" thread and will write something there. I dislike 2channel sometimes but I recognize some nice residents so I still have a hope that some amount of people are interested in discussion.

(I dont really read all of them but most of the strange posts that were asking for the problem or advice are done by him). oh most of the posts has the key words; cats, dogs, food, fast foods, sleep, sleepy, study history, study Japanese language, kanji, french, failing exam, pizza, heat, global warming, etc. these are all his code words. I came to Okayama to study japanese. I was shocked to see in Okayama botiques of Prada Gucci Chanel and Louis Vuitton. Okayama is very small town but boutiques all are here. why?
I read an article about English pronouncation of Japanese. According to the writer, Japanese must not pronounce English well because of several reasons.
One reason is that your fluent English may make native speaker think you have a great ability. Those situation that he speaks so fast for you that you can't understand it may happen.
Second reason is that you are Japanese not American or British. Speaking English very fluently indicates that English is superior to Japanese. You don't have to make your gait correspond with American or British one.
>>824 What city in Okayama do you live in? Okayama city or Kurashiki city? Okayama andkurashiki aren't that small. Of course smaller than Hiroshima and a lot smaller than Tokyo but not too rural.
Those brand name shops are in relatively big cities throughout Japan. Are those shops are in departmentstore? or independent shops on busy street? In the former case, the department store decided to have them on their floor to attract customers and the brand name shops accepted the idea. In the latter case, the brand name shops thought it's worth to make shops there, and rake up some money. In both cases, marketing departments either the department store or the brand name shops decided to make a serious break into the Okayama market.
I wonder why you chose Okayama for you to stay?
>>828 I think he's Japanese if I'm not wrong. The first reason is riduculous. Native speakers don't judge yuor English based solely on pronuciation. Regarding the second reason, I don't think that way. But I think Japanese don't have to speak English with native's accent for a different reason. If you have time to immitate native's accent 100% accurately, I think it's better to put your effort in other aspects of improving your English, such as enriching your vocabulary or read English newspaper and what not. 80% or so accuracy is enough if you ask me.

It's miracle that I recovered to the point where I feel comfortable with bathing in sunlights... 30: >>18 Smae here... 28: Just a casual walk at night makes your back and knees wabble. 48: >>28 That's exactly the case with me. You get less interested in weather forcast. 31: When you go outside after a long while, you feel like as if you'd just got out of a jail. ---- I'll keep working on the rest. About one fourth of translation was done so far. "You" in my translation means "general you." I mean, you=hikikomori
Got another job interview tomorrow. Have to lie to my boss tomorrow and make something up about getting new windows put in, or something, so that I can leave work early and try to convince the other people to hire me. He deserves to be lied to, anyway. Just like he deserved to be punched in the face.
>>632 Just been thinking a bit about food and things. Over here, most people would find the idea of eating things like octopus balls and uni very unappealing. Is there any sort of western food that people over there generally think of as disgusting? I'd imagine pork crackling would be on that list somewhere.
>>850 Yes, they get money from visitors clicking banner adverts and so on. I remember a few weeks ago there was a thread and one person was talking about how he gets all of his food from online ordering now.
Thanks so much for the translation by the way, it's really interesting.
In summit conference, contents of dishes contains uni and lam. Recently in hokkaido, Ezo deer are often offered with a word "deer are high-class raw material for food." But, in summit, they were never offered.
I wonder whether it is true that deer is such high-class food.
I don't know wether a deer is delicious or not. But as for “Uni”, it's definitely high-class food. To be sure, one which sold in a supermarket is not so good, but in Hokkaido, you can eat very fresh one. It's worthwhile to eat it once, if you've not had yet.
>>852 Good to know you're enjoying the hikikomori story. One third of translation was done. I'll keep working on it. Do they have difficulties in socializing? Poor people skills?
32: When you wake up in the daytime, you think "I'll sleep a little bit more" and when you wake up at night, you think "It's about time to get up..." 38: Even though it's cold outside already, you go out wearing light clothing without realizing change in season. 44:>>38 That... That happens... Number unknown: I've lost the track of changes in seasons because of a long period of shut-in life and I've go out heavily-clothed even in warm weather in spring. 45: It's true that your vocal cord gets weak. I think my voice was lower when I was a middle school student. 46: You forget how to vocalize. 47: It's extremely painful to walk in a corwd. 55: You stop looking yourselves in a mirror. You look at yourselves reflected in a mirror after one year and wonder if the face in the mirror is sure that of yours. 61:When outside, you feel inferiority complex towards unspecific people. 66: You come to have trouble in vocalizing. Number unknown: I've caught a cold and stayed at home for the whole week. When one week passed, I couldn't speak well. When you shut in, you don't speak.
>>853-854 Uni is delicious. The only deer I've eaten was reindeer, cooked by the mother of a friend when I was younger. It was very tough, though, and wasn't very appealing.
>>855 >Do they have difficulties in socializing? Poor people skills?
Yes, this is quite common across 4ch boards, especially /a/ and /jp/. People are generally nicer to each other in these threads because they sympathize with each other's loneliness.
>>851 Long time no see. So you're thinking about changing jobs. Regarding food, I don't like eating turkey. Not many shops don't sell turkey here in Japan but somehow I ate once. If I remember correctly, turkey smells. Maybe I'm wrong, though. I prefer chicken.
>>857 Thanks for the link! I'll read it later. In the meantime I'll try to finish the translation. Now I'm halfway through. If you have any questions about my translation, feel free to ask.
68: You feel uneasy about other people's eyes. 69: You come to find it hard to speak something in mind and you look weird, struggling to say it. 70: You lose the sense of time. You become clueless about what day it is today. 72: Boy, these comments left by hikikomori is full of reality. They reflect hikikomori's real situatiuons. 86:>>72 I couldn't agree with you more. These posts reflect all of my hikikomori experience as it is. 73: When you go out, you feel dizzy. Just a short walk cause muscle pains the next day. 75: You feel uneasy about the way you walk. 77: You reacknowledge that the world functions without you. 83: Just the sound of doorbell scares you to death. 90: The sound of ringtone has almost the same effect of bomb exlosion. 91: You feel inferiority complex even towards your pet. Before you stroke him/her, you pause and wonder if a person like me is worth stroking him. 97: When you are forced to go out in the daytime, you feel dizzy because of brightness and pressures you feel. If at night, relatively OK.
99: You start thinking about why on earth you live. 104: I dream of you playing with my friends. I wonder why because I decided that I don't need any friends any more. 125: >>104 You feel like crying when you wake up after such dreams. In dreams like that, people you may be able to become friends with or you want to become friends with appear. That's so tough. Number unknown: >>125 Same here. In my case, friends I used to hang out with appear in my dream. 115: You feel peaceful on rainy days. 133: If you try to speak something after a long while, you can't speak well. Once you start laughing, you can't stop it. Plus the way you laugh is weird. 138: All these posts are so compelling that I cried. 142: A lot more hikikomori in this board than I imagined. lololol 146: You get hungry--->You open refrigerator----> you found nothing to eat there--->You try to sleep or you surf the Internet. 154: One day passes really quickly. Probably today, too. lol Sorry for being worthless. 185: Try to make my surroundings as if it were late at night. 207: You are annoyed by rays coming in from gaps between curtain and wall, so you put corrugated boards over the gaps tp prevent rays from coming in. 226: You try write down a message you get over the phone but find out that you forget how to write kanji characters. 242: Your skin color is like that of fluorescent lamp. 265: You realize your muscles are getting weak. I found myself having trouble holding NINTENDO 64 controller with GB pack inserted.
>115: You feel peaceful on rainy days. >133: If you try to speak something after a long while, you can't speak well. Once you start laughing, you can't stop it. Plus the way you laugh is weird.
>>862 Phew...It took more time than I first thought to get all translation done. The below is the last part. You identified with only two posts. That's good thing.
282: I realized that most of hikikomori are a kind of people who can't live a social life. Number unknown: We are a kind of people who can't get out of this situation. 289:>>282 Why don't you start doing a part-time job? Number unknown: I know. I understand that in my head but when it comes to taking action, I'm scared. I know I sound like making an excuse, though... 302: You unconsciously try to finish errands you have to do outside on one occasion. 305: Middle aged woman in a barber shop asks you, "Have you decided whether you start working or have advanced education?" Number unknown: SORRY SORRY SORRY SORRY SORRY SORRY SORRY 317: >>305 I'm scared of that type of question so I can't go to a barber shop. 353: Your eyes are always those of women who's just been raped. 375: You research about the ways to get profit from stock exchange market or foreign currencies exchanges, but you end up knowing only someone whon knows the way to make profits can survive. 411: You start to get less interested in buying things (you want.) 423: You groom yourself and wear nice clothes to go out but all of a sudden, you feel like you don't go out and changes clothes to the one you wear in your room again. 461: You feel sorry for your parents being nice to you. 473: >>461 I'm too sorry for my parents smile at me. 474: When I think it's about time to get out of my hikikomori situation, I'm scared of eyes. Number unknown: People around me ask if I'm OK, worrying about me, but that's just painful to me. 509: I feel peaceful on Saturdays and Sundays because I kind of think that everybody doesn't work on these days so I have a right to have a rest on these days, too.
Hehe, I guess so - I can sympathize though. When I was in university in my first year I grew to have extreme social anxiety, luckily I managed to get through those problems. But I can imagine it is easy to become a hikikomori under such stress.
The translation is very good by the way. Easily understandable.
As for 305, Japanese barber shops in the neighborhood are in some cases family-run and a middle aged woman, maybe the wife of the owner of barbershop cut your hair.
Maygbe the hikikomori have had his hair cut since he was younger and now he must be at 18. The middle agede woman know him since he was younger and knows his age and just casually asked him if he'll get a job or go to university. Maybe she doesn't know he is hikikomori so asks the question inoccently, but to the boy, the question is really tough because he has to face the fact that for people at his age, it's time for a new start. But all he can do is just shut himeself in his room. One thing it's good is that he seems like he can go out once in a while. Hard-core hikikomori can't get out of his room and don't talk even with their parents.
>>865 I see. It's really good you managed to get over your anxiety. Maybe anybody can be hikikomori depending on situations they face. Thank you for your compliment for my translation! I hope nanako SOS guy is still around. hehe.
>>859 I can sympathise with you there. Traditionally, a Christmas lunch is supposed to be roast turkey (along with the other things - sage and onion stuffing, roast potatoes, mixed vegetables, Yorkshire puddings, and so on). For as long as I can remember, though, my family have always cooked a large chicken instead of a turkey, because turkey just doesn't really taste as good (especially the dark meat).
Would you try haggis?
As for jobs, yeah. My current workplace just doesn't understand how web development works. My boss doesn't understand why so many people complain about their websites, when all we (the designers) are given is about two hours in which to complete each of them. The way the sales team rip off customers is just immoral too. I know that it's the point of a business to make a profit, but this is just preying on peoples' ignorance.
I'm reading the archive of 4chan thread. I'm half way throgh now. Seems like some traits of them and Japanese hikikomori are the same.
Anonymous 09/10/07(Mon)23:30 No.5961510 I play a game of pretend with my griewnds every night
This guy is funny!
Anonymous 09/10/07(Mon)23:43 No.5961729 >>5961550 Yeah, talking is boring as hell.
Mostly because I have nothing of interest to say and those annoying "social boundaries" that force me to filter 95% of my conversation in my head before I say something. I'm too used to flaming people on the internet, I've been doing it since the days of AOL.
>I'm too used to flaming people on the internet,
I really laughed! The situation is the same here in 2ch.
>>869 If I say this, you can tell I'm a long time resident here but haggis was used as a joke to pull someone's leg here long time ago. Some website shows a photo of the imaginary creature if my memory serves right when in fact it's not a meet of that creature. lol No, I haven't eaten haggis but I'd like to try it someday if I have a chance.
Maybe someone in the know should be in a position where they lead web development projects catering to each customer's need. You mean the price for making a website is higher than it really costs although you can't go into details about your company's business practice? I'm just curious.
>>871 Ah, you remember the haggis incident. There goes that plan... How about black pudding instead?
Actually... they never gave me the terms and conditions of the job when I started, so I can really say whatever I'd like, and give no notice prior to leaving.
The company's sales are made by the sales team (obviously). What they do, is flick through the business telephone directories and cold-call people and try to convince them to use the company to give them a website. The company charges up to around £200 (42,200 yen) for a simple 4-page site, using only HTML and 8 pictures. If the customer wants anything changing, they have to do it through us. For another £160, they can 'buy' their FTP username and password. However, Sales will do things such as charge them £160 to 'think up' content to use on the site, which is just really stringing together whatever keywords they give us into sentences that make sense. They'll even try to charge customers for adding a simple hyperlink to a page.
If a customer has no photos, they can buy a 'picture pack', which is 10 images related to what they do, for about £80. These are just stock photos downloaded from a stock photo website, which costs £1 per picture anyway. Also, it counts as reselling the pictures, which is against the website's policy. All the software we use is pirated. The list goes on, really.
Ripping apart uni's spikes and yielding to appetite is far more immoral than running a shady business. Ignorance does not excuse the atrocity. Have some class or try some animal guts, please.
>>873 Animal guts don't really taste very nice. They are a key ingredient of haggis. Also, tripe smells terrible.
The taste (and smell) of uni is much more appealing. Perhaps they don't enjoy having spikes in them anyway. One day, I might open an uni farm, and let them roam in the fields of kelp.
I don't know anything about Webdesign business but I guess some webdesign companies are nice enough to teach customers how to make a minor changes on their websights. From your description your company seems like charging customers for every small bit of changes. Bit dubious.
Hokkaido Toyako summit is going on now, and leader of top 8 industrialized countries are in Japan. I can't imgine vital disccusions are being conducted there. They are only enjoying delicious food.
Incidentary, I dislike first ladies because they are haughty very much.
The Italian dude seems like a real man. He gave pretty good cabinet posts to the women he hooked up with before. He definitely knows how to treat ladies right.
In Japan, great many animals, such as dogs and cats, are killed in health centers. I hear most of them were once kept by humans. If no one appear to adopt them within a few days, they are killed in a terrible way: suffocation. I can't forgive such animal's owners, who are lack of respomsibility and mercy.
Hi, everybody. I live in Hong Kong. I love to visit Japan. Once, I visited Osaka, I saw many 無料案內所 What is this? Can any one tell me? Thank you very much.
I always talked with my boyfriend of sexual things. He loves it very much. Why are foreiner liking to use nesty words?? I never talked it with Japanes boyfriend.
We describe a really large pool of about 500 billion tons of carbon," said Schurr. "In comparison, the atmosphere right now has about 730 billion tons. So we are talking about almost as much carbon stored in permafrost in Siberia as there is in the atmosphere now. " In another study in the journal Geophysical Research Letters, Margaret Torn at the University of California at Berkeley shows the climate impact of this additional greenhouse factor. "We found a significant amount of warming coming back from these feedbacks that we're not yet estimating," said Torn. "The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, or IPCC, currently estimates that we could have warming by as much as 5.8 degrees Celsius by the end of the 21st century. But if Earth responds as it has in the past, we would actually be committed to 7.7 degrees Celsius warming." These latest studies are only steps toward a complete understanding of the atmosphere's complex nature. Scientists are still struggling to incorporate other greenhouse factors such as clouds, dust, and pollutants into their analysis. Torn says as more is known about them, they will be used to refine current climate models.
Had a call back from the company who interviewed me last week, asking if I could come for a second interview with the company director. This was 10 minutes before my lunch break, so had to run to the other company from work. But anyway, got the job and start tomorrow. Just about to write my current boss a resignation email. The sales manager resigned today too. Wish I could see the face of the boss.
I didn't know what pork crackling was. I think Japanese would like or understand the taste of it. Beijing duck is also regarded as being the most expensive and delicious food. Is Beijig duck to relish the taste of the grilled skin of duck? Japanese also prefer grilled skin. It's crispy and juicy.
Kentucky fried chicken is also the same concept. I prefer KFC over Mcdonaldo. But KFC is more expensive. So I rarey eat KFC. eat one time or so in a year. How about in the UK or USA? KFC is more expensive? However KFC seems to be populer food among Blacks. Blacks would prefer Mc over KFC, more expensive food? It's interesting.
>>959 I don't like sanma, either. I don't understand why he 's been popuar for years. He sounds too arrogant. Some comedians sound arrogant but they are funny and I like them. Regarding sanma, he's just arrogant and isn't funny at all to me.
Congratulations on landing the new job. I hope you'll enjoy the next job and they give you a benefit of free 2ch access during working hours. Is just emailing OK to tell your boss you'll resign? I'm not blaming you but that sounds like a bit casual way of telling him you'll quit the job.
Sanma is arrogant. He doesn't know what means of love. He claims that he had married with Shinobu for couple years and said he knows the love or relationships...but I don't think he's ever experienced the real one in his life.
I agree. Sanma is not funny at all. He is not talented as comedian. I've been wondering all the way what is funny about what he says. He is just noisy and obnoxious. And ugly. I don't know why he even enters into soccer broadcasting. He should shut his mouth. His know-it-all attitude irritates me.
His talent agency is so big that he is made superstar and nobody can say what they really think about him.
I'm glad there are many sanma haters in Japan.
By the way tokorojoji is also not funny. But at least he is good-natured.
Hey!!! you NEETs, nerds, YouTube-link spammers, pedophiles, neo-Nazis, Yukorin enthusiasts, Nanako SOS admirers, Part-Time-Preachers, Diplomats' spoiled sons, losers who can't remember Kanji characters, Big-boobs fans, Weeaboos from all over the world, learners of Japanese who are too lazy to update their Japanese blogs very often, and cunning linguists. And Let's pray for the rehabilitation of the Internet-addicted housewife.
Here is the place to have a blast!!!!! ----------------------------- Please use this template for the next thread.
Thanks. I'm subbing it. But with the music and the speed it's kinda hard to hear. It's tricky, though, trying to keep the comedy while at the same time doing a proper translation.
I don't know British eat pacific saury. Grilled pacific saury with grated white icicle radish and soy sauce, syoyu is very common food in Japan. Cheap and delicious. I reccomend it.
>>979 You understand Japanese very well to think that you can understand almost all Japanese spoken in the video. And you can read kanji in >>972, too. I wonder how you study Japanese?
I can read better than I can listen to Japanese, and much better than I can write or speak. So it goes reading > listening > writing > speaking. Anyways, I just study with guts and hard work.
I don't have much time. oh well... internet is not useful when I do some research. so I often go to the library. Reading is better to get the real useful information.
>>992 How do you know? Don't tell me a book says that. Don't believe the book. You gotta dig to the core of the earth. All you can beliefve is yuor own experiences.
