Hey!!! you NEETS, nerds, Akiba maid-cafe frequenters, Youtube-link spammers, pedophiles, neo-Nazis, Yukorin enthusiasts, Nanako SOS admirer, Diplomats' spoiled sons, Losers who can't remember Kanji characters, Big-boobs fans, and Weeaboos from all over the world, And I pray for the resurrection of the Internet-addicted housewive.
>>999(in the previous thread) Do you understand that what's obvious for you is not always obvious for everyone? I hope you must be smarter than that, but you're failing to give me an explanation so many times. That means you've lost the argument, right?
>>14 can't you just leave it? everyone here thinks you are a nutter, cuz you keep insisting on one tiny point no one cares about. so please kindly shut your mouth and go away.
>>5 I read your Japanese blog. I'll leave a comment later. Linkinpark is very popular here.
English blog's latest entry is too long to read, I'll check it later, too. So you are good at writing a picture with Paint software? I wonder how lon did it take to finish Darai Rama's (tibetian monk) drawing.
haha, oh wow, you actually went to my english blog?xD Yeah, i write a lot when I'm bored. It just happens. Actually, I'm not very good at MSpaint at all! I have to do it all by touchpad, so sometimes it's annoying, but for some reason I still do it! Dalai Lama probably took 20-30minutes. u_u;
I have to tell you keira, all music you listen to are Fake. You should listen to REAL music. Throw away all of your CDs or let Lulu eat all of them. Delete all of your music files on your PC.
>>28 Thanks for the reccomendations! I really want to borrow a drawing tablet from a friend so i can try to actually make pictures that look nice. xD
>>29 I'll probably do the same! xD But the weather is getting nicer, so I'd like to take my cousins out and fly a kite or something. n_n
>>30 N.G.S. is my favorite song ever! Gotoh named it after Number Girl, which is another band I love! After that is probably angou no waltz, shindou satoshi, and mugen glider
>>26 Why did you pick up Dalai Lama? You are against opression of human rights or something? I think you draw very well. If a 2channeler send you a photo and ask you paint a picture of them on a condition that you can put it on your blog, what would you say?
>>38 Yes, he one of the people I am very interested in philosophy-wise. :) Also, Martin Luther King Jr., and Tank Man. n_n Thank you, but if someone made a request like that I don't know what I'd o. xD I'd be flattered, but I feel like if the picture didn't turn out perfectly, then I'd be letting them down. I've very critical of myself as an artist.
>>43 You mean Rojiura no usagi? n__n Yeah, usually I just listen to the songs and don't notice titles, but because I listen to them so much, I just remember them all somehow. xD
>>51 You knwo the Tiannamen Square incident in Beijing? There was a man who used himself as a sheild to keep tanks from entering the square. It's a very famous picture, you've probably seen it before. n_n
>>46 If you start youtube, then I want to see you painting with MSPaint, if it's possible. I have no clues how those paintings are done. That's just an idea though.
>>63 do you honestly care about human rights? they are just some excuses for the western governments to impose some restrictions on the countries they don't like.
>>66 I'm not interested in American politics actually. But yes, I am a humanitarian of sorts. n__n It isn't until I started traveling and actually seeing for myself the way some people need help that I really started to feel sympathy and anger at the human race. >_>;; It's kind of complex for me.
>>67 it's complex, i agree. i used to be part of AI. but i realised that most ordinary people are powerless - whether we have a democratic system or not. often national interests come before human rights.
Just got an hour and a half sleep before being woken up by newspaper delivery at 4:30am. Then remembered the people were coming to replace some windows, so had to quickly move things and lay down dust sheets. One disadvantage of living in an old house is sometimes having old, wooden windowframes. These ones are half rotten and let a lot of cold draught through. Even the nails are corroded now. Some relatives are visiting later, too.
>>82 Fortunately, making them a tea or coffee is as deep as that uho relationship gets. Customary, anyway. Then you just wander away and leave them to it.
>>85 Anon is just anyone who posts without a name or tripcode. Anonymous.
Someone last thread was saying how it's shameful to mention you're a 2channeler in public. Now amplify that shame about a hundred times and that's what it's like for 4channers.
>>86 Not really. By and large the only people who know about 4chan are people *on* 4chan, or at least younger people very familiar with "net culture." 4chan doesn't have nearly the notoriety (in the U.S. at least) that 2ch does in Japan.
>>88 It's getting there, though, with all the (extremely uninformed) news reports over the past year or so. This is also going by the assumption of how people would react if you told them you were a frequent visitor, then actually showed them it.
>>92 Hmm... in comparison, it has traffic in the same region as Wikimedia, Gaia, and ESPN. And it's one of the 100 most visited websites in the US. It's hard to say what percentage of people are aware of 4chan, because nobody ever admits it (unless they're 14).
>>94 Quite well known, I guess. Not everyone visits for the anime/manga related boards, though. But I'd say everyone who visits is aware of them.
As for 4-ch, the people are somewhat different. The conversation tends to be less chaotic and less flaming, and the threads are slower-paced. The hardcore otaku has the same mentality in both sites, though.
>>95 if you live close to west croydon, maybe you are aware of the small shop called 'otaku'. when i visited the looney house for my visa, i found the shop near a tram stop.
>>96 I live in the other end of England, up north... but just asked a friend who lives down there and he says it's a first- and second-hand video games shop (along with some networked computers for gamesplaying), run by a Japanese guy.
long ago, even... need more sleep, sorry. And looney house? Do you mean the one that used to be an asylum, or the Monster Raving Loony Party's (political party) Croydon branch?
>>103 Wishing him luck too, but Brits don't often have very good luck (skill?) in sports, these days. Tim Henman was a great example of that.
>>105 Penpals can be fun, if you get an interesting one. Of course, it's not so good if you want to stay anonymous. Actually writing and mailing letters is less of a drag because you don't feel like you must respond as quickly as emails.
Yoko Osita is female announcer who belong to TV Asahi Brordcasting . Her hip seems to be soft , but may be more firm than Fukumi Kuroda's hip . I expect so it . I feel a fantastic feeling on my penis ! !
you aplogize!!! you go there an say I did such such horrible things to this person. just state my name clearly and aplogize! the god is watching you. he will never forgive you.
Apologize properly, that's all you have to do. If you apologize, I'll be as nice to you as you want. Why is it so hard for you to admit that you made a mistake? All you have to do is tell everyone that what you did was wrong, and admit that you did the horrible things and clearly state my name that you did something cruel to me
My pride was stained because I appologized you ... I must restore stained pride while watching a JPG image of Yoko Osita ! By rubbing my penis intensely ! ! !
>>128 Who is Yoko Oshita? I know Yuko Ogura (of course, only by name and face), but I have never heard the name of Yoko Oshita. Is she a celebrity? Or is she just a nobody? (And if the latter case holds good, you would be well advised not to mention her name in a highly public message board like here.)
>>955 of last thread I'm not sure what will happen to spam senders because I've never sent a spam to others before.
Spam mails seem to be delivered to receivers but certain filters are just sorting them, aren't they? Or your mail server doesn't work so?
This was the message I got as a reason.
Hi. This is the qmail-send program at excite.co.jp. I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses. This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.

>>140 But her AIM profile said once "夢の中で会ってやるよ [zzz]" though it had been deleted at the moment I just turned to be active...
It is the fact only I can know because It no longer exists and can't be proved. Of course I would never tell other's AIM sn here to prove it even if it's pretending perverts' sn.
There's this girl whose fart smells like vanilla and who's said to date a commedian named Hamaguche Masaru. It's said that she's surgetically improved.
Finally got new windows in at the back. At one point, the guy doing the upstairs window was leaning out and calling his colleague (who was downstairs) "Romeo", and in reply, the one downstairs called the one upstairs "Juliet". It was sort of creepy. I don't think they realised I was in the next room. Romeo looks like he used to be a bouncer, and Juliet resembles Mackenzie Crook from 'The Office'.
Thank you for your advice. My host mother didn't bully me, but she just said, "You need to pay for the rest 2-month even if you move out in this month." I have to waste $1600?! I cannot believe this situation... I almost burst into tears...
>>152 I have never seen woman riding on a bicyle here.
I will not move to an apartment, but go back to Japan in this month... I totally lost confidence that I can do well in the U.S., and I'm now feeling a harsh depression...
>>153 with the money thing. that's normal. you have to pay up because your contract says that you will stay there till the end of the third month minimum. well, cheer up. just stay there for 2 more months, and move somewhere closer to your college.
>>151 She's a jerk. Just find a roommate, move out and tell the company that you're not going to pay anything. Make sure to tell them it's their fault to not be able to find an alternative hostfamily for you. You've got to fight.
>>151 Perhaps you could also discreetly hint that you still have the option of returning to Japan and not paying the $1600. Well, perhaps you should not say so to the host mother, but the homestay company should care about getting paid at least.
But I don't know. There has to be some way of solving this. Doesn't your host mother have any friends who could take you to and from college? Do you have any friends that could give you a ride?
It seems so weird that nobody seems to be interested in solving the problem.
I don't think there is much the company can do if you break off the stay at your host family. And I don't see how your host mother can demand money if you do not live there.
As long as you still have the money, you have something they want, and have the upper hand in negotiation. If you give them the money, they will have what they want, and have no reason to do anything.
The rest two-month fee has nothing to do with the company, because I pay my host mother the fee directly... The only thing I can do is convince her of my moving out in this month without paying $1600...
>>141 She said she hangs around with boys rather than girls so she is like a girl who acts like a boy. "夢の中で会ってやるよ [zzz]" is like a man's line but that can show her character which is like that of boys. Just my opinion though.
Why don't you get other free mail account other than "Excit" and try?
>>149 You are hinting they are uho? Aren't they just playing the roles jokingly because one is upstairs and the other is on the ground, which is like the situation of Romeo and Juliet?
>>165-166 Correct me if I'm wrong, but a lawsuit would be pretty useless if the person you sue is not in the country.
Use the money to try and find a solution. If the host mother won't help, then explain you have no option but to go back home, and that you will not pay the "rent" (or extortion fee) for a place you don't live in.
>>172 well.. the point is. if she still wants to stay in the us. then she has to deal with this legally. ok, you are right about that if she wants to return to japan.
and it's not an extortion fee, as i understand that both parties agreed on that in the contract. it's expensive, but well, she signed the paper.
>>175 In that case, there are two contracts - one with the company, and one with the host family. If so, the deal with the host family is just a normal renting arrangement - so why would the company get involved at all if she wants to move?
More likely, she only has a contract with the homestay company, and they are just trying to avoid having to pay the host mother for the remaining two months, by tricking her into doing it.
Or that's my common-sense armchair analysis anyway, from what's been said so far.
>>181 Yes, I agree. Or better yet, get someone at the college to read through all the papers. That sort of thing is difficult if it's not your first language...
>>55 Recently tibetan 60? monks were arrested for protesting in the square in lhasa. China authority accused them of provoking unrest. China clain monks are supporters of dalai lama in exile. Why can dictatorship country hold olypmipic. I always wonder.. Tibet was an independent country before invaded by communist china.
>>83 It it british way of hospitality? IT's the same as japan here. I suspect americans are more dry and progmatic, just paying in return for the service.
the person who wouldn't read the whole thread of "Engrish" just because she was in a harsh depression can read the long cntract papers of rent in depression?
she only asks us how to escape from paying $1600 consistently.
http://jp.youtube.com/watch?v=D9pNHtAAEVM I especially like the scene of guys trailing after nanako: 1:02. I don't know why. But it's very heart moving. Pureness is a guilt. If we consider life too seriously, we'll be unable to live. We have to abandon and forget about our pureness to live boring life.
I'm so disappointed to hear イギリス人 is a minky momo wise, not nanako sos wise. Minky momo might look like okina megumi. Minky momo is only a primary student.. Minky momo has been an icon for lolicon which I disgust most. I didn't know Lana from future boy cona was also admired by senior loli perverts.
>>141 Hey, it's me (the person you emailed). I'm not sure what the problem is... You obviously got my email with my AIM sn in it. I'm online all the time, you can just IM me whenever. Can you not see me online or something? What you saw in my profile was my away message. I put that up to let other people know I'm asleep.
I payed $480 as a placement fee to the homestay company, and I payed $800 as a rent to my host mother. In this case, since the company didn't make an appropriate arrangement for me, it has to pay $1600(2-month fee) to my host mother, doesn't it? I can't stop crying...
>>201 Nobody here can say for sure, but it seems unlikely that you really have to pay. Did you sign a contract with your host mother when you moved in? If you did, then have someone take a look at it. If there is no contract, I don't see how she can demand any money at all.
Anyway, try to negotiate and solve things. Don't forget that you always have the option to just leave, as a last resort.
>>202 I signed a contract... When I signed, I didn't know that there's no public transportation to go back home after evening classes and buses don't come punctually. When I applied for the homestay program, I said I wanted to live in a house from and to which I can commute in a short time, and the company didn't say anything about this disgusting transportation system.
Well, that changes things a bit. Then you should have someone look at the contract and see if there is any way to get out of it (without paying two months rent).
But it seems like the best solution is to arrange for someone to drop you off at your host mother's house after classes. You have class mates, right?
>>204 I'll go to International Student Office in my college on Monday, but I think they won't do anything to help me because my college is in partnership with the homestay company... I don't know if there is anyone in the same class who can drop me off... The classes have not started yet. >>205 Yes...
>>206 > my college is in partnership with the homestay company.
I think they are more likely to help you or work things out for you because of this. Don't forget to take the paperwork with you when you go to the office. Ask them if there's any carpool or dropoff service available somewhere too.
>>197 But Robert Plant also had big hair. I bet both of them would get lost if they were to enter Robert Plant's hair, though you might be able to see their hair moving around as they try to escape.
>>200 That movie was released a year and a half after I was born. The live-action Western remake was one of the worst movies I've ever seen.
>>206 Your college should really help one of their own students before their partners. If all goes well, the homestay company should be made to realise they made a mistake in their contract and in doing so should also be liable to iron out the problems with having to pay the host.
>>207 I will try to ask help in college... >>208 The company and my host mother insist that I signed a contract and made a 3-month commitment, and that if I move out in this month, I would break the commitment.
Hi, I'm reading Stephen King's the shining currently, and came across this phrase
"Danny seemed to be a child for people who ordinarily held W. C. Fields' sentiments about children."
I googled W. C. Fields briefly and found out he's an oldtime comedian. a cynick maybe? So I guessed It means some kind of misopedia. But I'm not sure. What exactry mean "W. C. Fields's sentiments"? Could anyone tell me what it means? Any help would be appricated! Thanks!
Do not hesitate to tell the people at your college that the homestay company have not been handling things well. The college should want the best for its international students, and if the company is acting badly then they need to know.
You shouldn't have gone to US unless you can solve your own problems on your own. You are someone who were asking for proofreading your e-mail again and again right? Idiots had better keep themselves confined to their own turf.
I agree with >>214. I meant, just keep on worrying about your problems does no good. As you must have been able to expect something bad would happen, you should have been prepared for such troubles in the first place. Otherwise you were too innocent to go abroad.
>>107 Actually I don't necessarily want to stay anonymous, but have a little trouble writing something long enough to be a mail. Anyways, I followed your advice and did make some penpals. It looks fun, but have no idea what to write about. Is simply keep on asking about what my penpal is into lately all right?
>>230 No. I'm kind of limited to what I have access to by what's available on Japanese music trackers (bit torrent). But I actually just found a torrent for their discography, so I'll download it and give them a try. XD
>>235 I look up the lyrical translations. xD They do indeed have interesting lyrics. Num Ami Dabutz is pretty bizarre and so hard to follow along with! He speaks fast. x3
>>235 Haha, that just makes me want to listen to it even more.
Japanese hip-hop is really good, too. I've been chain-listening Lead's album Feel The Vibes. And I can't stop listening to Tohoshinki's song "If..." It's so fucking catchy.
I think that, before I die, I'd like to go to a mosh pit again, and be able to crowd surf. It's not advisable for girls, but it would be so awesome!! I had the opportunity one time and didn't take it, so now I want to try! xD heehee
>>251 Holy shit. I just looked up the Wikipedia article on Towa Tei out of curiosity, and he was part of the band that made the song, "Groove Is in the Heart"! *Everyone* in America has heard that song, it's super-famous. What a funny coincidence. XD
>>255 Learn to read English in context. I clearly meant that Korean artists that produce music in Japanese and market to a Japanese audience are considered J-Pop by anyone's standards.
>>264 Just stop the fucking argument and get out of this thread. You guys have been really annoying since yesterday. Everyone here don't want you to stay here.
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a psychiatric anxiety disorder most commonly characterized by a subject's obsessive, distressing, intrusive thoughts and related compulsions (tasks or "rituals") which attempt to neutralize the obsessions.
>>297 Yes , I live in Kyusyu . But I'm not interested in Fukuoka .I live in Kyusyu capital Kumamoto and masturbate enery night . Tapioka is popular now in Kumamoto ! ! Kumamoto is the trendy place of dispatch in Japanease .
>>301 When I was in Tokyo , I watched that there was a sightseeing traffic jam for a traffic accident hahahahaha... Tokyo people are lionize people totally like a countryman . In Kumamoto , even if any kind of casualty be happened , don't suffer from the sightseeing traffic jam . The reason is that Kumamoto people are cool and refined ! !
>>225 Usually it's just a case of basic chatting... what you do, have been doing, or plan on doing, things that interest you or them. Can always do extra things to make it more interesting. Such as one of my penfriends really likes certain music groups here, so occasionally send her magazine articles or promotional items that we can just pick up here. Similarly, she sometimes send things that interest me.
>>297 DJ Bobo represented Switzerland in the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest, with the song 'Vampires are Alive'. It was bizarre, but much better than the UK's entry. If it was the Uhovision Song Contest, the UK would have won. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NBOnDcmckdc
>>307 It's a surprise I got a reply about dj.bobo. He is pretty unknown in japan. He keeps doing very well unlike tetsuya komuro, who is totally past here in japan. DJ.bobo is kind of funny and gay looking. And his euro style polished dance style doesn't match with his face. It's funny. His songs are very very catchy.
http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/513WMR7405L.jpg As for Dracula and Vampire, man on the middle right was famous. He was simply called dracula. He ended every converstation with ざますzamasu. ざます sounds pretty affected and obnoxious. Usually the image of high society. スネオsuneo's mother from doraemon also speak the same as dracula. http://a248.e.akamai.net/f/248/26693/1h/common.ameba.jp/profile/user_image/53/shunshunp/1186502183879.jpg It's suneo. suneo's mather has similar face, just a small change with hair and glasses. kaibutsukun and doraemon are written by fujiko fujio but real writer is different each other. But obnoxious rich people's character tend to have same trait as zamasu and projected mouth.
suneo is from a wealth family whose father is executive in a big company. And his mother is papmaring suneo and very interfereing in studying. suneo always brags about his travels abroad and shows off souvenirs.
Can I read doraemon in english? I should read draemon in english instead.
>>320 I think American weeabow girls (sorry if they don't like to be called in this way) are even better than Japanese Otaku girls.
They seem to be much positive and even funny. They are loving pretty things and still making efforts to be alike them.
On the other hand, Japanese Otaku girls may forget to do something by themselves just because they're busy to protecting their status quo, and to get even more higher.,
I would wanna ask our goverment to give them a chance of getting short time residential qualifications or a sort of woking holiday VISA system between Japan and Australia.
It is more reasonable to give nationalities or rights of elections to residential Koreans.
It may even improve the rapid decrease of marriage couples or infants in Japan.
I sent the following e-mail to the homestay company.
"The reason why you asked my host mother if she could let me out in this month is because I have the right to move out without paying for the rest two-month, is this correct?
You didn't tell me that there's no houses available from which I can commute to college in a short time, and you didn't make an appropriate arrangement. When I applied, I told you I would like to stay in a house from which I can commute to college in a short time. If you told me that there's no houses available where I mentioned before you make an arrangement, I definitely did not ask you the arrangement for my host. Before making an arrangement, you told me that you would not be able to guarantee the room which faces north, but you never refered to the house's location.
I understand that my host mother has the right to be payed for the rest two-month, and you have to pay that money to her. I am not liable for the rest two-month.
After sending this e-mail, since I felt I'd said too much, I sent them an email saying "I'm sorry for sending an impolite email a little while ago.".
I hope they won't think I would pay for the rest two-month because I apologized...
Obama basically trusted him with everything and, all of a sudden, now he denounces him? He should have known he is crazy all along. What changed his mind? Is it to win the election?
>>334 Because my college is in partnership with that homestay company. Maybe, college doens't want to be in trouble with the company... I think that's why they didn't help me... I'm not sure if there's any Japanese staff. Do I need to ask them?
>>335 I don't think you need. But you may need to search whether the similar cases happened before in your college. Have you ever been to the board for Japanese students in foreign countries and look up your college's name there?
But the whole sotry is really incomprehensible... Is your college one of private schools? I remembered you said "community college" though..
>>338 My college is public community college, and I'm not sure there's a board for Japanese students... Is it better to find any Japanese who can help me?
>>339 If you're real Japanese, then it must be faster than chatting here. Find the board in 2ch or search your college's name at the google when you have enough time for it.
I don't understand the point that the public school has something to do with specific homestaying company and they're not honest. Can it be for real?
>>399 You're always asking questions and never decide on your own. Maybe posting questions every time makes you feel releived, but that's far less efficient than using search engines.
>>331 You should ask the ISO specifically if they can help you arrange for someone to drop you off after school, in case you have to pay rent for the next two months. Even if it is not their responsibility, the people there must know *someone* wou could do it, for some small amount of money.
KGKGKG's voice sounds awfully sticky. You should feel ichy!! KGKGKG sure will give you the creeps!!! I promise his forced grinning face will make you feel like throwing up!
He says he got an e-mail and he is trying his best to deny it's from a girl, but why is he that desperate? No one asks about it. He started it. lol He is the kind of person who put up a front. lol Every one of us is SO certain he is not popular among girls that we won't ask if he's seeing someone. lol
Why did he start saying he's not cheating on anyone? Gross...
>>369 That's because he thinks you will feel jealous. It's all about how he thinks about you, not what you actually are. I think You two had better understand each other's more.
KGKGKG's started talking dirty. He wants to have sexual intercourses with girls ( I suspect those girls in their early teens from his past records) He's getting grossier now.
men of nothing to lose don't hesitate and step forward like KGK KGK. Ordinary men pay too much attention to how they look from the outer world and can't do nothing(can do nothing). Cast away shame and do what be positive like kgk kgk. shame in awhile and regret forever! At least kgk gets famous for his wierd, shamful behavior. It's easy to be famous and make money!
I personally don't know what's funny about him. pretty obnoxious and annoying. I don't wanna see him and pay him money. LOL But he got famous at least... the fact.
My cock almost looks like matsutake whose shape is "kari ga takai" How do you say "kari ga takai" in English? When I use "karidaka" matsutake, every woman cries happily. lol
Hey, New York governer's scandal is covered in US, I think. What do you think about the media's attitude trying to dig out how the Ashley, the prostitute's personal profile and all that.
It's the governer who break the law and this Ashley has done nothing wrong right? I understand the governer should be bashed by the media but why does she have to be exposed to public attention?
I saw the governer's press conference and his wife standing next to him is very good looking lady. She is middle aged of course but still, she is beautiful. She doesn't look pushy too assured and assertive like Hillary Clinton. She looks like reserved humble lady in my opinion. I have to admit I am attracted to her.
This morning I have something to say for all of you.
I had completely misunderstood the person who was nice to be one of my chat friends and told me her AIM sn. I think I have to explain it here again precisely to revise my posts.
First of all, most biggest mistake I made this time was spelling, though I keep on making them still here...
Her sn ends with "SY" and I wrote it manually "CY". So it made me impossible to find her on-line even when she was replying to me on 2ch.
And the mail. I haven't yet understood the exact reason why I got my email returned. But my 2nd mail did.
More about AIM. It shouldn't start if users just registered for it. They need to activate sn again. And I didn't do that.
Then the message she left. It sounded like sorts of TROLLs here.. The situation at that time made me think so..
But it was my serious fault that I mentioned her on 2ch as if she was a sort of pervert. She was not. Rather openhearted person. At leaset in our chat.
I seriously regretted having done those posts. It might make her sad and make all of you confused not a little too. I'll beg your pardon for that. I'm sorry.
>>168 You maybe right. Maybe not. But actually I don't care the sexualities of my penpals. Even nationalities I don't care if only they are good at talking (writing) in English. I just want both mature and young friends of native (semi-native) English speakers who know 2ch well and can be outspoken, still who try to be honest with others.
>>192 I got to understand. Sorry for my being late in revising posts here. I'll make a special dogeza pose to you. (m;_ _)m gomen nasai
Hirosue has just got devorced. Everybody knoew that the day would come and after 4 years of marraige, she finally did. When income gap is too big, marriage doesn't last long in my opinion. Hirosue is known for ikemen(good looking guy) addict but maybe she has learned good looking isn't everything.
Relatives have gone, so it's nice and peaceful again. It was nice of them to come up and help paint my outside walls, though. They're always happy to help as long as they're fed. And it's nice to have someone appreciate your food.
Since I sent an e-mail (>>328) to the company's executive, I've not received any response yet... I'm afraid the company will play for time...? If so, what should I do?! Do I have to go to their office directly using many buses?!
>>425 You checked your mail box and make sure that it hasn't returned to you?
If you don't like talking on a phone with them, you may as well print out your e-mail, add that "Answer my e-mail in a day please." to it, and send it with a Fax machine to the company.
Is there a difference between "only online applications" and "online applications only"? To make my question clear, what I want to know is how to choose the word order of "only" as in those phrases. Please help me out.
As far as I remember, they are the same in that they both modify noun. Not only modifying noun, they are used without modifing noun. They describe the way, features of things.
They are different in that they change their forms differenty.
That's all I remember. I'm Japanese and learned long time ago about Japanese grammar so I can't explain well. After all without knowing Japanese grammar, I'm fluent in Japanese. After all, Japanese is my mother toungue.
>>446 Japanease is not a human language ! It is a natural language same as birds and cats learn crying naturaly . Therefor all GAIJINS can speak Japanease without doing study . Yoko Osita has an opinion same as me ! !
>>455 No. It's not possible unless you managed to get into 2ch's servers in some kind of way. Even then, it would be very difficult to identify a certain person just from the IP (Internet address).
>>456 OK, I understand that from IP it's difficult to indentify a person. I know if the authority orders an Internet Service Provider to hand in personal info about their customers, they'll give it.
MY question was how it is difficult to know >>455 and this post was made by the same person =me. Still difficult?
>>450 I named my handle with the name of chief character who appeared in the Chinease novel "儿女英雄伝" as a hint . The nickname of the chief characer is "十三妹" , and real name is "何玉鳳" . I mixed "何玉鳳" and my real name , and named "本玉儿" ! ! In my onanism kingdom , No.1 is 何玉鳳, No.2 is Yoko Osita !!

I got an email from the company. The company's executive said, "Moving is your decision Your host mother has the right to sue you in court for the remainder of your contract period. I would advise that you not choose this."
Why doesn't the company pay for the rest two-month?! It made an inappropriate arrangement, right?! I want to hang myself in front of the company's office... Is there anything I can do to move out without paying $1600? Please help me...

You can't smoke weeds and snort crack cocaine as usual in the south asia, can you? The laws are too strict and life in big house is inhumane... Big house is like a home for niggers. But situation is pretty different in south east asia.
I'm completely tired... The company's execuive just declared that I have to pay the entire 3-month fee. I'm getting to dislike the U.S. day by day... I'm thinking about going back to university in Japan and transfering to another university in Japan... I'll never ever choose homestaying in the U.S. again... The only thing I can do is to go to their office directly. But I can't see any responsibility I can change this situation by going to there office...
>>529 We never say "the first time after a long interval". Interval isn't a very colloquial word. We say "for the first time in a long time" and "for the first time in a long while." But most often we say "for the first time in a while."
Hey, the native who help translate Japanese into English, Didn't you say you have any blogs? You just have had only account of livejournal or yuo just have made your account thinking about starting your blog?
Anyway, if you are thinking about strating the blog, what's the theme of it? And are you plannning to post in Japanese iun your blog?
>>561 Too bad, you're like a year too late. XD I used to keep an LJ all in Japanese, but I got lazy and stopped like around a year ago. Now I keep the LJ account around to keep up with other communities, but I never actually post in mine.
I subtitled this trailer. The person who uploadede the video asked in 2ch for help and I tried translating it. If you have time, give me your feedback. No need for a diplomatic comment. Any correction is fine. If you don't have time now, it can wait. If you feel bothered, it's OK to ignore this post altogether.
>>565 You should promote your Japanese blog here more. It's not enough to show your blogs URL in e-mail section. That's hard to notice.
Do you know kerokerorin made appearance on Japanese TV? Maybe it won't be long before magibon comes to Japan. Actually one Internet TV company called Gyao has sent one of their staffers to negotiate with magibon about her coming to Japan. One video of her showed magibon and a Gyao's staffer.
I wonder if this school really exists. If it does, I can imagine students are all from wealthy familiy. Or just you made imaginary highschool name named after like the drama, Beverly Hills 90210.
>>568 Or you could learn to use Google before you make yourself look like an idiot. And not all the students there are wealthy, although most are upper middle-class.
>>567 Thanks, although I'm still kind of shy about my blog. But it's in the email feild for now, for those who want to read it.n_n;;
And yes, I have seen the portion of her on youtube where she makes a tv appearance. The hosts look so shocked and I found that a bit funny. I thought there were lots of foregin english teachers, so is it really that uncommon? xD Although I do think it's amazing that she taught herself how to speak it. As for Magibon, I'm surprised! She doesn't say much in her videos, so it is unclear to me whether she is fluent or just a beginner. The internet is really amazing to make people so popular! :O
>>569 It's not the matter of me looking like an idiot or not. It's the matter of what can I say, communication.
Even if you know google is your best friend, sometimes it feels lonely just tapping a keyboard and get an answer from its search result. Asking a real person gives me a feeling that I'm connected with someone even though I don't know them in person.
>>564 Okay, posted my comments/corrections in the same place as before. Some of my changes are purely aesthetic, meaning your translation wasn't wrong but I thought there was another way that sounded better or more natural. Some of my changes, especially the ones where I add articles (a/the), are necessary. Well, lemme know if you have any questions.
>>573 Thank you very much! I have to have late lunch now so I'll check it and ask my question if any, later in your blog. Anyway, I'll comment on your translation so keep it posted and pay attention my comments later.
>>573 Where are your comments/corrections? If you don't mind. I'd like to take a look at them just because I'm curious how a native speaker would rephrase the English.
>>570 http://jp.youtube.com/watch?v=ytT9H60kKdY >>The hosts look so shocked and I found that a bit funny. I thought there were lots of foregin english teachers, so is it really that uncommon?
First, Kerokerorin looks so western and it's hard to expect Japanese to come out of her mouth. She is so fluent to boot. The same holds true with your case, I think. You have blond and green eyes. Isn't rare to have the combination of blond and green eyes? Although I have seen the combination of blond and blue eyes but I think the combination of blond and green eyes are more rare. If you say something in Japanese, that really impresses Japanese people in my opinion.
Not many foreign English teachers speak Japanese as well as kerokerorin. Only a small portion of them speak as well as kerokerorin. She is realy amazing to think she has never lived in Japan.
Second, she says in the video that she works as a part-timer at Japanese ramen(chinese noddle) restraunt in Chicago so that impressed the hosts of the show, too. It's hard to imagine the Japanese ramen chain have outlets in USA in the first place.
Third, she sang a Japanese song in the video and that makes hots more amazed. They didn't expect her to sing a Japanese song very well.
Here look at my penis ,now it seems to be a mad ram ! ! I hope to entice more visiting onapets in my onanism kingdom . For example , Makiko Ezumi , Mona Yamamoto , Emi Takeuti , Aiko Kaito , Yuuki Amami … and so on . They are ideal as opponent of Yoko Osita dominating my kingdom ! !
If I look at keira's eyes I would be feel drawn into her eyes. Like an emerald. Soooo valuable. Like the color of Aegean Sea.
One thing I was surprised was in foregin websites that are made to make friends, there's a field where you write the colors of your eyes. That was an eye-poping cultural experience to me. We Japanese have almost the same color of eyes, which is dark brown. So I couldn't imagine there is a field where you have to write the colors of your eyes. Having a dark brown or brown eyes are too obvious for us Asians. No need to write the color of our eyes.
Finally applied for another job, as the contract for my previous one was completed. Sent my curriculum vitae to a local web design company who had a vacancy. Visited their site, and the work that's done there is of very poor standard, but people are still willing to pay from £200 (40,800 yen) for the most basic package (4 pages), up to £800 (163,215 yen) for 20 pages. If I don't get it, I'm tempted to go into competition with them.
>>611 Eye colour is determined by a substance called melanin, which absorbs light. So the more melanin, the darker the eye colour. Brown eyes are the most common, because they are genetically dominant.
Green eyes are the least common eye colour (at least of the normal colours - certain medical conditions can affect iris colour too).
>>614 I'm avoiding going into that bookshop during my friend's shifts now, so there's now very little chance of catching something from being made to handle them. It's for the best, I think.
The tilte of "BANANA FISH" came from "A Perfect Day for Bananafish" by J.D. Salinger. The author loves American literature so much. Sometimes the characters in the story are reading Hemingway's too.
Now colour contact lens (I'm not sure whether Native speaker call them so) are popular among young people. So these tastes are getting fewer than before, I guess.
>>625 I can see them fine, but can't understand them all. The first one seems to just be a generic copyright notice for a photo upload or transfer site. It's been ages since last learning some vocabulary in Hangul.
Someone has a question about English grammar in some thread.
He asks what the difference is between "I like only him" and "I like him only", if there's any.
And I had no idea how different both of them are, so I thought it was a good idea to ask someone with good knowledge and/or great getting used to English, preferably somewhere from English speaking country. Thanks in advance.

>>626 Ahh yes, coloured contact lenses. I had a friend in college who always insisted on wearing violet coloured ones. She has brown eyes, so I guess she wanted to stand out a bit more.
And sorry... who am I remembering? (I've obviously forgotten...)
>>628 There's not really any difference in meaning between them, but 98% of the time, a native speaker would choose "I like only him", as it sounds more natural.
>>630 Just wanted to learn how Hangul worked, so decided to learn it a bit. At first, I thought it was a symbol based alphabet (like Kanji), but then realised it was just a collection of sounds, and was a lot easier than I'd expected.
I found this sentence on the net : "All icon sets are restricted to personal desktop use only." If the sentence were "All icon sets are restricted to only personal desktop use.", do you still think it would sound more natural?
>>633 Sorry. I always forget that the board here has no ID system. About River Phoenix, I mean.
And about the hangul. I see. It's similar to Kana in Japanese. Both are made from Chinese characters and yes it just mean nothing. I heard that Hangul is the convinations of some factors. Maybe it is connecting to sound too, I guess.
Paul Mccartney seems to be obsessed with blonde women with long straight hair and big eyes.. But his first wife was not white! She was jew! And Paul's first children are not white. cos they are born from jewish woman!
>>it just mean nothing. That's wrong. Hiragana and Katakana means "sounds" like alphabets. Objects worded in Hiragana gives you the impression that the objects are from Japan. In the meantime, things written in Katakana gives you the impression that they are from overseas.
Paul Mccartney has a racist kind of taste for woman. Paul flashes a warm smile to japanese. But He doesn't have any interest in japanese women. He loves teutonic features. It's ironic that his first was non white jew.
>>645 I know he is a very racially conscious man. And it's good for white racists too. Whites also want to segregate between races. IT's not discrimination. Coz blacks can have their own land and right too!
Obama's christian master of 20 years says whites invented AIDS to kill off blacks. I didn't know the fact. But I can believe this claim. It makes sense!
I thought Japan was the only country that had an experience of getting A-bombed. But it turned out, this is not true according to Obama's spiritual master.
>>648 Sorry. My example is bad. So just imagine 素=す. 素 means "as it is" "with nothing" or sometimes "elements". We can hardly imagine the meaning of "element" when we hear the sound す.
>>635 Hmm... in sentences such as those, the word "only" seems to be there just for emphasis. In that context "restricted to personal use" implies only. Perhaps it's just for people who don't read the whole sentence and tend to only pick up on the first few and last words. Grammatically, it's supposed to go before the word it modifies.
Without Hiragana and Katakana, Japanese people can't communicate, especially in writing. Say, here's an example : で? で is just one word and it means "and" in this case. For those who claim that hiragana means nothing, I wonder what kanji they use for this. It's impossible. In conclusion, some Hiragana means a thing that any Kanji usually can't be allied.
This pod cast is in Japanese. One of the speakers talk about Magibon and her living environment. He seems to get involved in the project to bring her to Japan. He said other than him, talent agency's staffers came along with him.
In this podcast, he says magibon's hometown is very rural area in Pennsylvania and its population is just around 3000. And its population is all white. He says people who went to magibon's home with him to talk about magibon's future is kind of at a loss. All magibon knows is country life there and they think that are not sure if it is for the benefit of her to bring Magibon to Tokyo for the start of her carrer in Show business.
Anyway, what we can tell from this pod cast is that there's a plan going on to have her debut in Japanese show business.
From 2:00--- he talks about magibon. By the way they don't call her magibon. They just describe her as a certain girl.
>>662 I'm freelance at the moment, yes, but it can be a bit troublesome in a town such as mine. A lot of local businesses (mainly small shops) are still run by people who don't understand the benefits of the Internet, and it's hard to make them understand. Most clients are those I had to approach myself, rather than be approached by them. Joining an actual company should at least give a constant income, rather than hoping for a commission or two each month.
>>663 If a brown eyed parent has a child with a blue eyed parent, the child's eye colour is extremely likely to be brown. Gregor Mendel was a radical eyeist, blame him, not me!
>>692 A commission is where someone (or a company) hires you to do a certain job for them for a certain period of time, or to do a certain project.
In my case, I'm hired to make them a website, depending on what they ask for. If I have no commission, then I have no income.
>>690 Thank you. It'd probably be more fun to compete against them rather than work for them, if my application is rejected.
>>695 If they come here, it's almost guaranteed they'll spam stuff and make it almost impossible to follow a topic. Though it's against the site's rules, the posting is too fast there to be able to do anything about it in time. I'm speaking from experience as a former moderator there.
Gregor Mendel was a radical eyeist, blame him, not me!
Hum? I didn't know Mendel had some racial motivation. So He didn't say only a truth but to preseve or highten racial standard? Mengele just carried out his ideals? German are too honest, close to fool. British made up notions and then German carried out these. German are framed by British. British made German do what they desired and accused German. What a hypocrisy! Mendel was not british though.
>>700 Sorry, I was just trying to make a joke, because he was the first to suggest dominance of certain genes. Dominant genes are just genes which are more likely to appear in a person from genes passed down by parents. It has nothing to do with racial equality or prejudice.
>>699 >moderator Were you? Interesting. I'm not sure how different admin and moderator are, but did you have the right to delete threads or posts that broke the /b/ rules, if there's any rule there. lol
Anyway, I don't have a mind to link any of current /b/ guys here, of course. We should set up some rules and make fun of them.
I'm thinking about going back to Japan... I went to a travel agency and made a temporary reservation for flight... Within 6 houses, I have to decide whether I go back to Japan. The homestay issues had completely deprived me of my confidence to stay here. I couldn't feel any heart from the company and my host mother. After all, homestay is just a business. It was stupid of me to expect them to have heart.
I don't want to regret having gone back to Japan... I don't want to regret not having gone back to Japan, either... Which should I choose - going back to Japan or not... Whichever I choose, I have to pay $1600 to my host mother...awful...
Do you think I can negotiate with my host mother about the rest 2-month fee? I'm afraid to do that...
>>701 That's exactly it. No more income until the next commission.
>>703 We had the power to delete individual images in posts, posts themselves and entire threads. We were also able to ban posters by name entry or IP. This was all done through a separate page to the main imageboard which listed the thread IDs, and then it was just a matter of ticking boxes. Though that board has no rules for just itself, it still falls under some of the global site rules, which includes no raids.
>>710 Good question... but personally, I don't think I really resemble any of them. It's probably best to ask either mixi-girl or an older NEET who came across my profile several months ago.
>>714 no buddhist actually believes in after life and stuff i just wanted to talk like a christian for no reason also, I'm not even a buddhist, am agnostic
>>720 Go ask /b/ if you are good looking. lol And say, "come on, /b/, I'll beat you up, take you down, and destroy you!!" Yeah, that would be funny. Of course, I'll be supporting you there.
>>726 I think you're gonna get murdered if you talk about something as offensive as a fee problem. The best thing you can do at this moment is to go back to Japan and kill yourself.
>>731 Oh I understand. I'm sorry to misunderstand you and point out your mistake when in fact I was the one who was making a mistake. I assure you I will never do that again.
>>730 If I negotiate, I have to do that on the day I leave her house, right? What can I do until that day? Do I need to curry favor with my host mother?
>>736 If you left US, you couldn't negotiate any more. You have to stay there for negotiattion, don't you?
When you leave host home with no negotiation, then you may say sorry from your heart to host family, to home staying company and ISO too. That is manner of adult Japanese.
But you seem to think you wouldn't "carry favor" with them. So, do what you like. It's sad to hear you saying that.
Foreigners, I have a question. Atheist is 無神論者 , agnostic is 不可知論(者) in japanese. And these words are fundamentally not based on our daily life. We borrowed many words, which were not based on our daily life from western world and made words of translation in japanese.
Do you foreigners, even chavs or thugs use these words naturally in daily life?
Those two words above sounds a little square and intelligent, sometimes offensive. We don't expect chavs or even average people to speak 不可知論 or 無神論 in daily life. If they did, They might offend the feelings of the circle..
It's very odd but true that sometimes people deliberately use translation words from the west to make them look more intelligent or cool..
And some translation of philosophy books seem to be terrible. Translator translated the book to make it more difficult and deep... So philosophy gets more difficult and tower of ivory here in japan.
>>744 I use a mixture of software. If a client wants just a simple page, usually I just use a text editor. If they need it database driven, then I use a builder, because I can then upload and test it with little hassle. About 95% of the code used is directly typed in. I let Dreamweaver make the database connections itself, though, because it saves time.
E-commerce pages are sometimes requested too. They take a bit more time, though, because of security. They seem to be especially popular with local florists now.
>>745 Why should I feel guilty about leaving the house within 3-month with paying the entire 3-month fee? Does it bother my host mother? I really really want to say sorry to my real parents, but I never ever do not want to say sorry to my host mother nor the company.
>>748 I don't understand "database driven" website but anyway I take it that you can meet all the expectations from clients.
What about SEO? Do you make a website to handle SEO? Do you gurantee your clients that, like, "your website will be on the first page of google for at least *** months"
Her english is very good in my opinion. And I wonder why person of good English skill has difficulty in associating with people in the US. It's my assumption that she intensively studied English on her own but not good at communicating with people in Japan. I'm not criticising her. I'm worse than her. Just a nerd and geek and neat.
>>762 I've always tried to be nice to my host mother; however, she is becoming harder and harder on us (me and another student staying together) day by day... >>769 What else can I do other than just pay $1600 and leave...? Do you think I can change this harsh situation by going to the company's office directly? If so, I'll do that.
>>760 Database driven websites are different to static websites in that the data comes through a database, such as mySQL. The user can then easily submir new information without having to directly edit the page. The main example of this technique is through blogs.
As for SEO, it's hard to guarantee anything with Google, because of how it ranks (scanning other sites to see how often it's linked or referenced). I do try to increase its chance of being found through metatags and clear content, and through submission to multiple search engines.
It's up to the client to choose who to advertise the website through, but they often ask about local directories or specialist sites. Of course, they can always buy AdWords too, but this is mainly done through a reseller.
>>771 I'm still surprised that the student office isn't offering to help at all, even to just talk to them, or to give you advice...
>>774 No, she is a Hispanic from Mexico. She was saying this's the first time for her to be a host and she didn't want to be a host. She has to get money for sons who are studying at university because she got divorced... It's not good to say this, but I can understand why she was divorced by her husband...
Religion isn't often discussed here in everyday life, except by people who are naturally very religious. I can't remember the last time I had a conversation with someone about Christianity. Atheism and Agnosticism are words that most people know, but hardly ever use (of course, chavs probably don't know what these words mean).
It's not that people are worried about offending others, it's just that people aren't really all that interested or bothered by religion. Except maybe Islam, in some cases.
As for philosophy, the same works the other way around, where texts from far- eastern Asia are translated. Often quite badly and in a way that many people misunderstand, or just don't understand at all.
>>775 One of staffs at Internatilal Students Office said, "The only thing you can do is to talk to the company's executive directly. We have nothing so to with the homestay company, so we can't help you, sorry." >>776 Do you know any good price negotiation technics?
>>775 Thank you. I think I can manage to keep up with what you are talking about so far. But with more technical jargon and all that, I wouldn't follow you.
A poor divorsed hispanic woman should be the worst that could happen. I don't think you did anything wrong. You can't do anything about it. Just give up and die.
Jewish Ron Jeremy will take your loveable one away from you. Jew dominates everything. give up. untill adolf hitler is resurrected. But keep it in mind that under the hitler's perfect rule, porn will be banned. no jew and no porn. just right.
>>804 But hitler will give you a nordic white girl! Remember we were allies! But don't export your mongrel-child to germany. It'll ruin german racial purity. It's o.k as long as you stay with your family in Japan.
>>805 Have you ever seen this German porn where a german girl (who looks like 30-35 to me) masterbating on the train. She's really great. Her pussy is totally wet and juicy when she came.
>>802 No. The company's executive replied to the e-mail I sent to her 3 days ago, saying "Because you have evening classes does not allow you out of your contract." She is not thinking about any responsibilities the company must has. Why she doesn't say sorry for not having told me about the house's location and having made an inappropriate arrangement...? I can't understand... It's not good to generalize, but this experience makes me think Americans are self centered... Maybe this is a part of the culture-shocks. >>803 I'm not aggressive.
Generally, Americans refer Moonspeak as any non-English language; however, in common internet parlance, the label specifically refers to any language that does not use the Latin alphabet.
Moonspeak generally implies special fonts to read, either Unicode encoding or character set specific encoding to transmit, and either non-QWERTY keyboards or input systems to type. As a result of these requirements, Moonspeak is a very fragile way of transmitting thoughts; lacking either the right set of fonts or the right encoding renders Moonspeak as a blob of squares.
>>819 I don't ask you what it says. I advised you to bring it to ISO and tell them what you said just now, didn't I? Why not?
I'll tell you so much advices until now but all you've done is just going to ISO. If you wouldn't like to try something according to others advices, you should stop asking here.
British glamour models seem to hang around with brainless football stars. It made イギリス人 angry and despise football stars! Only intelligence matters! People from working class without university diploma should not be given a chance to date with glamour model even if they succeed in making much money!
イギリス人 says with whip. "work hard, you scum! football? no value! What does it produce to kick a ball far. Instead work the pedals of bicycles to produce electoronics! I'm not a fascist. I loath Hitler. But somewhat Pol Pot was right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
(of course, chavs probably don't know what these words mean). >>785 Hard to believe. lol! But two words must be more common and widely accepted in the UK. I want to ask the same question to american. Because americans are considered to be more religious and vice versa. They are too ecccentric.
