Why?
953名無しさん@英語勉強中:2008/01/23(水) 00:34:23
because I am too lazy to learn all the kanji! I am loser why can't
remember kanji characters!!!
954スウェーデン人:2008/01/23(水) 00:43:01
Ha. I'm only a beginner, but it is already annoying to see words that
you know spelled out in kana. I don't know many words, but still!

>>951 Maybe you could try Heisig's book? The first part is available
to download for free. (PDF format)

>>950
How is /b/ nowadays? Haven't been there (to 4chan at least) for
almost a year now.
955名無しさん@英語勉強中:2008/01/23(水) 00:49:16
>>954 Good for you. As that site would say:

"... And nothing of value was lost."

As for learning kanji, I wonder how important it is for people to learn
how to write the advanced kanji these days. Seems that most people look up
kanji on their cellphones anyway, and it's easy to type advanced kanji that few
people would bother writing by hand. Seems like kanji recognition is the most
important part of learning kanji these days, at least for the advanced kanji that is.
956名無しさん@英語勉強中:2008/01/23(水) 00:54:56
I know about heisig, but the most important question is how to read
kanji in combinations? Even if I know all kun and on readings I dont know
how to read kanji in combinations. It is always different readings.
957スコットランド人:2008/01/23(水) 01:07:38
You should learn readings along with Heisig's book.

He's the reason that I know the English meanings
of so many kanji, but not Japanese.
958名無しさん@英語勉強中:2008/01/23(水) 01:09:37
for example word 写真
shashin.
写 has two on meanings: シャ ジャ
how do we know when use シャ and when ジャ?
959名無しさん@英語勉強中:2008/01/23(水) 01:15:36
I don't come up with any kanji combinations that includes 写in which
you read it like ジャ。you read always 写

写真 描写(description) hmmm I can't come up with any combinations including 写
in both two above you read likeシャ
960名無しさん@英語勉強中:2008/01/23(水) 01:16:56
I see.
961名無しさん@英語勉強中:2008/01/23(水) 01:18:24
I come up with one more.

写生(シャセイ)drawing/painting sometihing often outside
962名無しさん@英語勉強中:2008/01/23(水) 01:21:26
everybody wants to go to japan.
it is global trend
963名無しさん@英語勉強中:2008/01/23(水) 01:24:00
Hey jew. I lost 25million yen for the stocks.

I'll never tolerate you. enough is enough!!!
Are you laughing at other people's misfortune and
taking advantage of them? It's time to revenge!
964名無しさん@英語勉強中:2008/01/23(水) 01:30:19
>>957
Are you non-christian or anti-christianity?

What's your denomination even if it's nominal.
965名無しさん@英語勉強中:2008/01/23(水) 01:35:23
Self-responsibility? But you jews are manupilating stock price
and embezzling money to you!
That's the problem. Where is justice. We need a justice man in white
mant right now! I don't know he will be next Hitler or Jesus Christ.
Stock price plunges and change dramatically. Jews say it's adjustment.

So we need a dramatic political change, revolution! That is only a
adjustment, new better solution learned from fiasco! What's wrong!
966名無しさん@英語勉強中:2008/01/23(水) 01:37:42

Hey!!! you, NEETS, nerds, Akihabara maid-cafe frequent visitors,
Youtube-link spammers, pedophilias, neo-Nazis, Yukorin enthusiasts,
Gloved hitwoman manias, Internet addicted houswives still in therapy,
Would-be web designers who write softwares with tons of bugs,
Losers who can't remember Kanji characters,
Big boobs fans, Faggots who turned anonymous and buried
in snow in Red Scquare,

The 101st thread has just started.

Let's paint the town red!!!!!
WHHHHHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
968名無しさん@英語勉強中:2008/01/23(水) 01:40:09
I should have said white cloak or white mantle?

IT's good to be able to say a right thing as well as to be
able to study English.
Thanks.
969名無しさん@英語勉強中:2008/01/23(水) 01:40:56
>>958
we use 写真(ジャシン)when you want to discribe photo detail.
for example, 顔写真. so something should be before of its word.
970959:2008/01/23(水) 01:44:55
>>969
You are genious. You are right.
971名無しさん@英語勉強中:2008/01/23(水) 01:46:17
>>969
Are you really japanese?
not ジャシン, but シャシン.
972名無しさん@英語勉強中:2008/01/23(水) 01:48:57
I may be mistaken.
Yes. When 写真(syasin) is combined with 顔,
It will be pronunced kao jasin.
973959:2008/01/23(水) 01:50:40
>>970
He meant in case of 顔写真、it reads カオジャシン. So 写 is pronounsed
like ジャ.
974名無しさん@英語勉強中:2008/01/23(水) 01:51:44
写真 means reflection of the truth from original
kanji meaning...I guess.
975959:2008/01/23(水) 01:52:03
X>>970
O>>971

>>972
Now you know what he/she meant.
976959:2008/01/23(水) 01:53:55
>>974
Right, if you think that way you can remember 熟語, combination of kanji
well.

977959:2008/01/23(水) 01:56:19
I'm too sleepy.
You guys, make sure to make a new thread. If you don't until I wake up,
I'll spank your asses.

I go to bed. See you morons.
978名無しさん@英語勉強中:2008/01/23(水) 01:59:36
ポルノ(poruno-from porn-) 写真(syasin)
青写真(ao jasin)
ステレオ(sutereo-from stereo-) 写真(syasin) which
I learned right now from dictionary.
I don't know the rule.
I think we just learn by heart.

979名無しさん@英語勉強中:2008/01/23(水) 02:05:02
But sutero jasin would sound natural to me as well even though we don't use
and hear the word, ステレオ写真 daily.
kao syasin would rather sound like the act itself, taking pictures.
That's my intuition. Not approved theory.
980名無しさん@英語勉強中:2008/01/23(水) 02:06:29
taking pictures of face, I mean.
981名無しさん@英語勉強中:2008/01/23(水) 02:11:02
>>976
It's interesting. We, most of japanese associate 写真
with the image of a material. We don't consider the meaning of
kanji deeply.
982名無しさん@英語勉強中:2008/01/23(水) 02:12:07
I'm nervous! This thread is coming to its end!
983名無しさん@英語勉強中:2008/01/23(水) 02:13:08
Don't worry. not the end of the world.
984名無しさん@英語勉強中:2008/01/23(水) 02:14:42

I cant catch lyrics
988名無しさん@英語勉強中:2008/01/23(水) 02:35:35
>>987
It was more a cynical, adult song.
I was fool. I just cathed "why part" and jumped to the conclusion.
989名無しさん@英語勉強中:2008/01/23(水) 02:38:57
Any way, it's too sentimental.
Is it talking about solipsism? lol
Such as The worlds don't go around when you don't exist
990名無しさん@英語勉強中:2008/01/23(水) 02:40:06
I hate philosophy.
991名無しさん@英語勉強中:2008/01/23(水) 02:41:10
japan is a totalitarian state.
992スウェーデン人:2008/01/23(水) 02:56:20
>>989
What the lyrics say is that the the world keeps going on (the birds
keep singing etc) even when it feels like everything has ended. And
at the same time, the lyrics give an idea how it feels when you are
really down.

Really pretty good, actually.

Also, OMG! Thread over now?
993名無しさん@英語勉強中:2008/01/23(水) 03:07:12
