この文章どういう目的で書かれたものですか？

A man walks into a hamburger shop and orders a regular meal.
Later, the waitress brings his meal to him.
He takes a bite out of it, and notices there's a small hair in the hamburger.
He begins yelling frantically at the waitress,
"Waitress, there's a hair in my hamburger!
I demand to see what is going on!"

So, the waitress takes him back where the cook is and to his demise,
he sees the cook take the meat patty and flatten it under his arm pit.
He says, "That's disgusting!"

Then the waitress says,
"You think that's disgusting you should see him make donuts."

私は映画「マダガスカル」に出てくる世界的に有名なサンディエゴ動物のレストランで
フライ・クックとし週末と夏休み働いていました。毎日何千枚と言うmeat pattyをグリルで
焼いていた者です。それでフライ・クックと言う職種が有ります。

現場の人間から見れば用語の間違いが多く、まったくおもしろくありません。

調理場ではmeat pattyと言うのは丸く円盤状にflattenされた肉が油紙で仕切られたものを
言います。
あとはフライ・クックがグリル上で焼くだけのことです。つまり、レストランの調理場で
あれば、体のどこの部分であれmeat pattyをflattenする事はありえないのです。

もし、flattenする必要があればそれはground beefです。でも現在のhamburger shopで
regular mealを調理するためには調理場ではground beefを使っていません。

またmeat pattyをflattenするのが落ちだとすると加工しているのはdonutsでなくて
doughになります。
この話しはhamburgerを作るのが面白いのでなく、meat pattyをflattenする方法が面白い
のでしょう。
上記の場合にmake donutsとすると、通常は粉をこねる事でなく油で揚げる事を連想して
しまいます。

それでは何の面白みもありません。私はロングビーチのピザパーラーで働いていましが、
うどん粉をこねたものはピザパーラーでもdoughと呼んでおりました。

ちなみにdonutはdough-nutからきています。
