We just keep raising our expectations of ourselves, our employees, and our families. This innocent attempt to find more time is doomed to fail because we are failing to recognize where our experience of time comes from ― thought.
if we now consider a nonrepeating waveform as being one of a family whose sequential members are identical in shape and uniformly spaced a large time T apart, and then allow T to become infinite , the fundamental frequency of the motion must approach zero , and the summation over all harmonics must be replaced by an integration over all frequencies.

While wealth in Japan is still more equally distributed than in, say, the United States, statistics show the gap is widening.
The reasons for the shift remain in dispute, with opponents of Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi citing his reform efforts, which have forced banks to come down harder on debtors and eliminated massive pork-barrel spending that had created a trickle-down effect of wealth.

After the first practice, the dance teacher said to Danny and Lucy,"You know the dance, but you don't have feeling. Dance as if you loved each other." At first, Lucy seemed cold to Danny. But after seeing Danny's confidence, she began to like him. They had a lot in common. She liked samba dancing and football, just like Danny. In fact, Lucy's father managed the Belfast Football Stadium. It was the start of their romance, and Danny's future looked bright. Danny became both a fine samba dancer and a good football player. His dancing practice helped him make amazing goals. One day a scout from the Belfast United team came to watch Danny play in a football match. He had been impressed with Danny's football skills. So he said, "I'll give you a change to play with us at a practice game." Danny was very pleased to hear that. He did his best in that practice game, but he did not play well. The scout did not even speak to Danny. Danny thought that his dream of being a professional football player was over. 訳お願いします

Mark was walking home from school one day when he noticed the boy ahead of him had fallen and dropped all of the books he was carrying, along with two sweaters,a baseball bat,a glove, and a small tape recorder. Mark knelt down and helped the boy pick up the scattered articles. Since they were going the same way,he helped to carry part of the burden. As they walked,Mark discovered that the boy's name was Bill, that he loved video games, baseball, and history, that he was having a lot of trouble with his other subjects, and that he had just broken up with his girlfriend. 長文申し訳ありません。お願いします。
EU Trade Commissioner Peter Mandelson has warned governments that if they are behind the boycotts that they could face action at the WTO if the EU proves they are involved. If the boycotts are purely consumer-driven, however, little can be done.
But he cautioned that the damage goes beyond exports, extending to service contracts, shipping and production facilities in the area - losses that cannot yet be quantified.
Grace was a girl who loved stories. She didn't mind if they were read to her or told to her or made up in her own head. She didn't care if they were in books or movies or out of Nana's long memory. Grace just loved stories.
After she had heard them, and sometimes while they were still going on, Grace would act them out. And she always gave herself the most exciting part.

Growing up listening to the likes of The Eagles,Steely Dan, The Beatles,The Shadows and The Little River Band I was drawn to guitar. My family consisted of two drummers, two singers and one guitarist at that point,so at age 11.I decided to make an even two guitar players. After 9 months of playing classical guitar and mastering the old tunes such as "My Bonnie lies over the Ocean" ...I left the strings to rust while I pursued music more for listening pleasure until I was almost 15,and the records of Jimi Hendrix,Cold Chisel and Eric Clapton got the better of me. I wanted to PLAY!Through my late teens I discovered Pink Floyd, Dire Straits Pearl Jam,Radiohead,Jeff Buckley, Free, Fleetwood Mac,Led Zeppelin.I learned as many riffs as I could.I was fascinated by the tone players like Lindsey Buckingham and Mark Knopfler were able to get out of the guitar. They didn't play with a pick which was encouraging as I also only played with my fingers. My first gig was in a piano bar in Sydney at age 18 where I played weekly for the next 4 or so years with a piano player and bass player.I have played various gigs and completed many recordings around the Sydney music scene for 10 years now. Including as the lead guitarist with a country blues band called The Margharitas.I had some great times with them in Tamworth! My playing has also led me overseas where I have played and recorded in Colorado, California, Minnesota and New York. Also receiving two scholarships to study with greats John Hammond and Duke Robillard in New Milford,Connecticut and Tommy Emmanuel and Ed Gerhard in San Francisco,California.
Ken Ogger, known as "The Pilot", a pioneer of the Free Zone, was found drowned in the pool of his house in LA on the 29th of May 2007.
His hands were tied with wire and a heavy concrete weight held his legs down.
The police is investigating.
Ken Ogger was known as the author of analyses about the Church of Scientology's mismanagement and author of auditing manuals. After his own wife betrayed his identity to the church, he suffered a breakdown and soon afterwards went through a severe health crisis.
On 20th of May 2007 he reported back to his newsgroups in his old dynamic way. He published a series of texts in which he told about his physical recovery, about his plans to become active as "Pilot" again, but also about the Church of Scientology's attacks on his private life.
So the old magical theory of the seasons was displaced, or rather supplemented, by a religious theory. For although men now attributed the annual cycle of change primarily to corresponding changes in their deities, they still thought that by performing certain magical rites they could aid the god,who was the principle of life,in his struggle with the opposing principle of death.

Since the first vitamin(now called vitamin B1) was discovered in 1910 by Dr. Umetaro Suzuki, thirteen substances have been recognized and designated as vitamins. Of these, the latest to be found was vitamin B12, discovered in 1948. Now, a fourteenth has been added to the list. Japanese researcheres recently discovered the first genuinely "new" vitamin in 55 years and published their findings in the April 24,2003 issue of the joutnal Nature.
The substance,Pyrroloquinoline quinone(ピロロキノリンキノン), or PQQ, was already known as far back as 1979, when it was first isolated from bacteria in the United States. Although it was considered to be important to mammals, scientists weren`t sure what it was or how it worked. But then, in the process of studying manic-depressive disease, researchers from japan`s Institute of Physical and Chemical Research accidentally identified it as a kind of vitamin.
How did they determine it was a vitamin? Vitamins - organic substances needed in small quantities for health and growth - link up with certain enzymes and help them work properly when taken into the body. The researchers at the Institute of Physical and Chemical Research succeeded in dicovering the gene for a PQQ-linked enzyme, and so confirmed that PQQ acts as a vitamin.
The study also demonstrated that mice deprived of PQQ suffer reduced fertility and roughened fur. This suggests that PQQ plays an important role in improving reproductive performance and growth in mice. The research team leader, Tadafumi Kato, says that PQQ is likely to belong to the vitamin B group.
The best source of PQQ known so far is "natto," a pungent Japanese dish of fermented soybeans. Other foods rich in PQQ are parsley, green tea, green peppers, kiwi fruit and papaya. Researchers say that aren`t sure if PQQ functions as a fertility enhancer in humans. Nevertheless, couples hoping to get pregnant may well benefit from eating more of these PQQ-rich foods.
Related research has demonstrated that PQQ may also act as an antioxidant, and yet another study concluded that is it may protect against strokes. Based on these results, experts expect the brand-new vitamin to make an important contribution to health care and medicine. However, further studies are needed to determine its full potential.

For 3 years now I’ve adopted Valentine’s Day as my time to make contact with people. This year I got the crazy idea to draw each one by hand. I liked the idea that each person would get something unique, with their name on it, but that there would be a larger whole that they would also be part of. It did require that I brutally slash my mailing list, but I made sure that everyone on the list knows me (although I haven’t met them all): most of the people are somewhere between friendly and friend to me. I intended to do 125, but as I remembered people I’d left out, it grew to 150. I had to cap it there: I was exhausted, out of time, and my drawing hand (which is insured for five million dollars) was nearly broken. Now that they are all done and sent, I have already thought of a few people who should have got one but didn’t, and if you are one of those people, I truly do apologize.
They are numbered, and already much has been made of what number people are on the list. Not to burst the bubbles of those with low numbers, but the order was complex and not tied to relative affection. Those living further away went out first (#1 is for Min Wang, in China), those living closer went out last. Additional sorting was alphabetical by company name. There were a few stragglers, and there were a few who I held back because I hadn’t drawn a heart that felt quite right for them yet.
And of course there’s always the worry of “her valentine is nicer than my valentine. ” Well. Is it really? I don’t think so.
The tide of travelers from China mirrors the emergence of virtually every group overseas tourists since the Romans, from Britons behaving badly in the Victorian era and ugly Americans in postwar Europe to the snapshot-happy Japanese of the 1980s.

I did get to see part of a Japanese wedding ceremony, but I missed most of it because of the tour I was on. I did catch up to my tour group on time, and told them about the places you suggested visiting. I believe one of the families did get to see the full Japanese wedding ceremony. I was visiting Japan with my Mom and a couple of other families; my girlfriend was suppose to come, but had conflicts at work. Japan is a very safe place,I was impressed that little kids could walk and take the trains by themselves. That is something that could never happen in America;parents just don't feel the streets are that safe anymore. I enjoyed my visit to Japan very much, but it feels good to be back home.

No-one discusses the humanly vital point that they cannot be dismantled and cannot be shifted but have to be left standing where they are, probably for centuries, perhaps for thousands of years, and active menace to life, silently leaking radioactivity into air, water and soil. No-one has considered the number and location of these satanic mills which will relentlessly accumulate. Earthquakes, of course, are not supposed to happen, nor wars, nor civil disturbances, nor riots like those that troubled American cities. Disused nuclear power stations will stand as ugly monuments to man's false assumption that nothing but tranquillity, from now on, stretches before him, or else―that the future counts as nothing compared with the slightest economic gain now.
That night, there was a big dance contest. Danny was barely in time to reach the dance hall. The contest started. For the first few minutes Danny and Lucy were dancing well, but everything suddenly went wrong. Danny was out of step-he could not concentrate. They did not even finish the dance. "It's all your fault! I never, ever, want to see you again!" cried Lucy. Months passed. Danny and Lucy were almost finished with high school. Lucy wanted to leave boring Belfast and go on to college in England. Lucy's father gave Danny a job as a janitor at Belfast Stadium. He encouraged Danny, saying, "Never give up, Danny. Your chance will come." Several weeks later, Lucy's father had a problem. The half-time entertainment at a professional football match had been canceled. "I've got a problem, Danny! There's no entertainment and the match is sold out. The crowd will be very unhappy." 訳お願いします
Of all the changes introduced by man into nature, large-scale nuclear fission is undoubtedly the most dangerous and profound. As a result, radiation has become the most serious agent of pollution of the environment and the greatest threat to man's survival on earth. The attention of the layman, not surprisingly, has been captured by the atom bomb, although there is at least a chance that it may never be used again. The danger to humanity created by the so-called peaceful uses of atomic energy may be much greater. There could indeed be no clearer example of the prevailing dictatorship of economics.
Whether to build conventional power stations, based on coal or oil, or nuclear stations, is being decided on economic grounds, with perhaps a small element of regard for the ‘social consequences’ that might arise from an over-speedy curtailment of the coal industry. But that nuclear fission represents an incredible, incomparable, and unique danger for human life does not enter any calculation and is never mentioned. People whose business it is to judge dangers, the insurance companies, are reluctant to insure nuclear power stations anywhere in the world for third party risk, with the result that special legislation has had to be passed whereby the State accepts big liabilities. Yet, insured or not, the danger remains, and such is the power of the religion of economics that the only question that appears to interest either governments or the public is whether ‘it pays’. The most massive wastes are, of course, the nuclear reactors themselves after they have become unserviceable. There is a lot of discussion on the trivial economic question of whether they will last twenty, twenty-five, or thirty years.
In the early 1930's, writer Jerome Siegel and artist Joe Schuster couldn't find a newspaper that would buy a comic strip about their newly created hero, Superman. Siegel and Schuster first thought up the character of Superman during high school. But, when they took their strip to the newspapers, every editor they showed it to said the idea of a man of steel who comes to Earth from the planet Krypton to defend “truth, justice, and the American way” was just too fantastic to be accepted by their readers. It wasn't until they contacted the publishers of Action Comics that anyone took them seriously. “Superman” was one of the strips to appear in the first issue of Action Comics, which was published in June 1938, and its hero was an immediate success. In 1940 Superman began his radio career, with Clayton “Bud” Collyer providing the voice of the man from Krypton. From 1941 to 1943 there were seventeen short animated films made about Superman, and Collyer's voice was used in these as well. Throughout the 1960's and 1970's there continued to be an interest in the man of steel, with plays, television movies, and animated series being produced every few years. Then, in 1978, Christopher Reeve starred in the feature film Superman――The Movie, which sparked the imagination of a whole new generation. SupermanU(1980), SupermanV(1983) and SupermanW――The Quest for Peace also starred Reeve and made the Superman a firmly established figure in America.

Strange is our situation here upon the earth. Each of us comes for a short visit, not knowing why, yet sometimes seeming to divine a purpose. From the standpoint of daily life, however, there is one thing we do know: that man is here for the sake of other men - above all those upon whose smile and well-being our own happiness depends, and also for the countless souls with whose fate we are connected by a bound of sympathy.
History not only furnishes us with the key to the present by showing how our situation came about, but at the same time supplise a basis of comparison by virtue of which the prominent contrasts between our days and those of old can be detected.

Nether of us really enjoy living here, but its cheap and easy to get into centre of things so its a good compromise.Jo works as a Graphic Designer and I from time to time DJ at parties. We love going out to dance and clubs or friends parties at weekends,it helps keep us young. We also help putting on "The Loft" parties here in London 4 times a year(www.ABC), these are great fun to do.The next one is June 17th and it will be our 4th birthday party. The same party has been running in New York for 40 years. She believes that the late-night opening of bars in some European countries is the way forward. There, people finishing their drinks as the British closing time of 11 p.m. approaches, are safe in the knowledge that they have the option of a refill. Bringing British laws in line with countries such as France, she believes, would remove the need to have more than that "one for the road". よろしくお願いします!
As we have seen in Chatterton's case, poets' names have been passed down through inscriptions written by other poets and come to constitute a literary monument. Chatterton's early death as well as his genius endowed him with eternal life. It was Walli's picture that glorified the poet's death. Chatterton's is regarded not only as a precursor of the Romantic poet's but also as an icon of a suffering poet who died young and won immortal fame. Moreover the picture of the poet's death brought smiling "Fortune" to the painter, for it was with Chatterton that Wallis established and left his name in art history. The picture was favourably reviewed in London in 1856 and the next year in Manchester. In particular the eminent critic of the day, John Ruskin, greatly praised it. There is a sequal to Wallis's Chatterton. The artist later eloped with the wife of the wife of the model for the picture. The model was George Meredith(1822-1909), a writter and friend of Wallis. Meredith was also a struggling author in a satirical vein like Chatterton. This event led Meredith to compose a set of sonnets, Modern Love, a first-person narrative by a man whose wife has fallen in love with another man. The death of Chatterton brought Wallis both inspiration and great success. Unlike the "dying" candle in the attic, the artist's flame never flickered out.
(1) Any assets not claimed by creditors will be claimed by equity investors, and (2) The total amount of claims (liabilities + equities) cannot exceed what there is to be claimed. It follows from statements (1) and (2) that the total amount of assets will always be equal to the total amount of liabilities plus equities.

The international survey of 3,500 young people from Britain, the US, Australia, Germany, India, China, Russia and South Africa, found that, between the ages of 7 and 16, British children spend an average of 9.4 hours glued to a screen each week, just behind Australians and more than children in all the other countries surveyed. British children in this age group also spend less than an hour a day being active or doing some form of exercise. Paula Radcliffe, the athlete, is among those urging schools, clubs and parents to take action. She said: “It is very alarming that kids are spending so much time in front of the screen and little time on physical activities. British kids are not by nature lazy. 「This is about giving children more opportunities to play sport」 ― the feedback I get from children is that when they play sport, they really do enjoy it. This report is a wake-up call. 「The message is not to stop children watching TV or playing on the computer, but to get the balance right.」 “Fitness for kids is vital, not just for future Olympic champions, but to ensure that every child can look forward to a long, healthy, active life.” 2箇所ありますのでよろしくおねがいします。

One in five expressed no interest at all, something that will worry ministers who were hoping that the event would rekindle interest in sport among young people. There appeared to be greater interest in the Games abroad, with children in the other countries polled tending to show greater enthusiasm for the event. However, 「British children did score highly (94 per cent) when asked if they enjoyed taking part in sport, of which 89 per cent is played in school.」 1箇所だけあります。
People began to disagree with the severity of the death penalty. Some people thought that society was to blame, blaming the criminal's enviroment instead of blaming the criminal. People began to feel that criminals were not evil. Instead, they were victims of poverty, poor education and lack of opportunity. Society should help criminals, rather than kill them, they thought. よろしくお願い致します。

In 1966, when I was a college student studying photography, I visited Vietnam and saw what war was really like. Since then I have taken photographs in places such as Vietnam, Cambodia, and Afghanistan, where people suffer from the effects of war. I also visited some countries in Africa and Central Asia. I looked at many people through ,y camera and interviewed them. Here are some of the pictures of children and young people I have met. I took this picture when I went back to Vietnam, about twelve years after the Vietnam War had ended. A lot of people suffered during the War, but now the country has been revived. This is a snapshot I took in Hanai in 1987. 訳お願いします

Human nature does not change, or, at any rate, history is too short for any changes to be perceptible. The earliest known specimens of art and literature are still comprehensible. The fact that we can understand them all and can recognize in some of and instinct, but also their intellectual and imaginative powers, were in the remotest the incidentals that change: the fundamentals of passion, of intellect, and imagination remain unaltered.
To be poor is believed by many who are, and most who are not, to be an unpleasant. Some teachers feel that television has taken away the child's ability to form mental pictures in his own mind, resulting in children who cannot understand a simple story without visual illustrations.
Thus, they grow up to be passive spectators who can respond to action, but not initiate it.
Because they have been conditioned to see all problems resolved in 30 or 60 minutes on TV, they are quickly discouraged by any activity that promises less than instant gratification.
Not only does this increase their tolerance of violent behavior in others, but under certain conditions, some children will imitate antisocial acts that they witness on television.

This American government,―what is it but a tradition, though a recent one, endeavoring to transmit itself unimpaired to posterity, but each instant losing some of its integrity? It has not the vitality and force of a single living man; for a single man can bend it to his will. It is a sort of wooden gun to the people themselves. But it is not the less necessary for this; for the people must have some complicated machinery or other, and hear its din,to satisfy that idea of government which they have. Governments show thus how successfully men can be imposed upon, even impose themselves, for their own advantage.

Notice these main'fingerprints'of Classical style as you listhen to the opening of Haydon's String Quartet, Opus 64 No.5('The Lark'). (This is an example of chamber music-music intended to be played in a room, rather than a large hall,by a small group of solo musicians.A string quartet is for two violins, voice and cello)
During the Classical period, for the first time in musical history, music for instruments became more important than music for voices. Many works were written for,or included, the pianoforte-usually called'piano' for short. This had been invented as early as 1698 byBartolomeo Cristofori in Italy.By 1700 he had built at least one instrument of this kind. He called it gravicembalo col piano e forte-'a harpsichord with sort and loud'.But whereas in a harpsichord the strings were plucked,in Cristofori's instrument they were struck by hammers- lightly,or more forcefully, according to the amount of pressure made by the player's fingers upon the keys.

Cutting down Yakusugi is not allowed today. 3 The most famous cedar of all is Jomon Sugi. It's the largest known ceder in the world, measuring more than 16 meters around. It may also be the world's oldest tree, with estimates of its age ranging from 2170 to 7200 years old. 4 Yakushima was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1933.About 300000 people visit the island each year.

Reputable agencies, of course, do all they can to obtain organs responsibly and to distribute them fairly and usefully. Routine anonymization is a component in this process. The most obviously worrying modern scenario, along lines suggested by past experience, might be in the contamination of networks served by such reputable and well-regulated organ brokerages by the infiltration of illicitly obtained material. A recent discovery at a Colombian medical school school of thirty murdered corpses was reported to have been the work of a gang murdering down-and-outs for dissection. Here we can witness a Burke and Hare situation replicated in the present day in a Third World country which does a great deal of other illicit trade with the United States and other Western nations. It may be only a matter of time before such goods enter Western routes of supply. The poor bookkeeping revealed in the HIV case mentioned above could serve to assist such activity.
Man is composed of body and soul; he thinks and acts; he has appetites, passions, affections, motives, designs; he has within him the lifelong struggle of duty with inclination; he has an intellect fertile and capacious; he is formed for society, and society multiplies and diversities in endless combinations his personal characteristics, moral and intellectual. All this consistitutes his life; of all this Literature is the expression. So that Literature is to man in some sort what autobiography is to the individual; it is his Life and Remains.
When a composer mixes the various elements of music he or she may create a unique sound. The true art of writing and playing classical music, however,is to evoke strong emotions in the listener. In other words,a composer may have technically arranged rhythm, melody, harmony, and color into an impeccable order, but unless the music evokes joy,man feelings, the audience will not be moved.
The basic question is whether all these alleged and actual ills are merely the pains of transition, or whether they signifty that the direction of feminine evolution today is fundamentally unhealty, contravening the laws of Nature and running counter to the timeless needs of male and female alike. の訳をお願いします!!
Those conservatives who take the latter view argue that the female, and was meant forever to be warm, tender nurturant, yielding, lovable although a bit on the stupid side, willing to accept the rule and dominion of the male, a bit fractious but much improved by being beaten once in a while.Biology and psychoanalysis are usually summoned as evidence for the prosecution. Biology is said to show that this is how it is throughout the animal world, and hence must be in the human realm. In actual fact, any good biologist can cite scores of instances in which the female of the species is stronger than, or dominant over, the male.
A combination of territorial losses, particularly of the industrial regions of Silesia, Lorraine and the Saar, together with the collapse of German trade and the shortage of capital, contributed to the decline in German industrial production in the years 1919 to 1924 to between a half and three-quarters of the level of 1913.

These students were preparing to engage in such diverse fields of research as solid state and particle physics, and the course was designed to give them a broad culture in group theory.

Contrary to what takes place in many modern children's stories, in fairy tales evil is as common as virtue. In practically every fairy tale good and evil are given form in some figures and their actions, as good and evil are always present in life and the tendencies for both are present in every man. It is this duality which poses the moral problem, and requires the struggle to solve it. よろしくお願いします。
"You are what you eat." is a wonderful proverb about food. Proverbs help us pass wisdom from generation to generation. Let's think about the meaning of this wise saying. Health depends on nutritious balanced diet and good health is important. Health is mainly physical, right? Nonsense! We all know that health and happiness are closely related. And so, it's natural that food is the center of our best communication with other people.

Any effort to deal with behavior as a movement of the parts of an organism meets at once the objection that it cannot be mere movement which is important but rather what the movement means, either to the behaving organism or to the observer.
The latest manifestation of our "tough on crime" policy comes in the proposed amendments to the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure, which will implement the 2004 Crime Victims' Rights Act. One U.S.
district judge ruled that the statute renders victims "independent participant(s) in the proceedings" and "commands that victims should be treated equally with the defendant, defense counsel, and the prosecutor."
Under the act, victims have the right to be heard in court on questions of bond, plea agreements and sentencing, and they have the right to confer with prosecutors about a case. If victims are unhappy with how a prosecutor or trial court has treated them, they are permitted to seek relief in the U.S. Court of Appeals, and the appellate court must rule on their application within 72 hours (an unprecedented remedy).
Thus, under the act, victims at a minimum become a member of the prosecution team and, indeed, have significant leverage over the professional prosecutors. The president and many in Congress support an amendment for crime victims' rights that would incorporate several of these points into the Constitution.

Superman has been described as a combination of Robin Hood, Sherlock Holmes, and Hercules. As his other self, Clark Kent, he is shy, mild-mannered, and awkward in speech and action. But in his role of hero his strength is boundless. Able to fly faster than a speeding bullet, able to stop a speeding locomotive in its tracks, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound. These are just a few of the amazing abilities that have made the name Superman mean greater-than-human strength and power. When we call a person a superman (or a superwoman) we are implying that he or she is capable of much more than the average person, possesses greater mental and physical powers, and has much more stamina.

Recently, there have been numerous efforts by the Japanese to become more "international minded". Unfortunately, many of these efforts are of a rather superficial kind. Some people think it is enough to learn a foreign language, especially English, but many of these people give up after a few weeks of lessons and study - mainly because they find merely learning a language does not give them enough opportunity to use that language. Some people think it is enough to buy a few items imported from foreign countries. To sport such articles in public gives them a kind of international aura - so they believe. Other people think it is enough to make a trip abroad. Unfortunately, many of these go unprepared - not knowing enough about the countries they plan to visit, nor being able to communicate proprely with the people of those countries; nor, which is much more serious, having any real intention to learn anything about the countries they visit. よろしくお願いします

A teacher from Western country visited an elementary school in an Asian country. In a class, she watched sixty young children as they learned to drew a cat. The teacher drew a big cercle on the blackboard, and sixty children copied it on their papers. The teacher drew a smaller cercle on the top of the first and then put two triangles on top of it. The children drew the same thing. The lesson continued until there were sixty-one identical cats in the classroom. Each student's cat looked just like the one on the board. The visiting teacher was started by the classroom. She was surprised because the teaching methods were very different from the way of teaching in her own country. A children's art lesson in her own country produced a room full of unique pictures, each one completely different from the others. Why? What causes this difference in educational methods? Part2 これもお願いします。 In Western society such as the United States or Canada, there are many national, religious, and cultural differences. So people highly value indvidualism-the differences among peaple-and independent thining. Teachers place a lot of importance on the qualities that make each student special. The educational systems in these countries show these values. Students do not often memorize information. Instead, they work individueally and find answers themselves, and they express their own ideas. In most Asian societies,by contrast the people have the same language, history, and culture. Maybe for this reason, the educational systems in much of Asia reflect society's belief in group goals and traditions rathert than individualism. Children in China,Japan and Korea often work together and help one another on assignments. The teacher talks and the students listen. There is not much discussion. Instead, the students recite or information that they have memorized.

"Did you ever wonder (◇) I was carrying so many things home that day?"asked Bill.
"You see,I cleaned out my locker because I didn't want to leave a mess for anyone else.
I had stored away some of my mother's sleeping pills and I was going home to commit suicide.
But after we spent some time together talking and laughing,I realized that if I had killed myself, I would have missed that time and so many others that might follow.
So you see,Mark, when you picked up my books that day,you did a lot more.
I'd like to know what would be this sentence in Japanese please : "If only you could read my heart..." The verb could is giving me problems here. Maybe with that example I can manage to pick up how to conjugate in that tense.

Kemshall(1997) links the seemingly endless expansion of individualised risk assesment to a blame-laden culture in which organisations and individuals who are responsible for assessing risks attempt to protect themselves from potential litigation.
・Egalitarians are characterised by low grid/high group and tend to identify with the group holding outsiders responsible for risk.
・Indibidualists with low grid/low group characteristics are individualistic and entrepreneurial, wishing to regulate risk themselves. They also see the positive benefits of taking risks, often in profit-making terms.
・Fatalists (high grid/low group) are those whose approach to risk lacks an affiliation to group. Fatalists will tend to trust in fate or luck. If hazards are present in the social world, there is very little an indiviual can do to control them.
Canada is very multiculural so it is hard to say what is typical since a lot of what we eat comes from elsewhere but at my house we often eat chicken, porc or beef with rice, potatoes or pasta... My favorite meal is chicken Kiev and fettucini alfredo but my favorite food is fruits like strawberries, cherries or raspberies... Whats your favorite?

The long Golden week holiday is over, and it's kind of hard to recall what was going on before hand at work. One of the seasonal terms these days is "Gogatsu-byo (May sickness)". It's slang for the symptoms a student has when they return to school: a sinking, helpless feeling. Since the Golden Week is so long these days, a new version of Gogatsu-byo has appeared, and is called (of course!) "Rokugatsu-byo" (June sickness). It refers to people have burned out and reach a stage of no stress and no tension after a long holiday. I believe it's rare for LINC Media people to catch Rokugatsu-byo, because of the excitement of the job itself. But even so, if the type of person who finishes each day feeling really tired and drained, then maybe a break is in order, before you get the dreaded July sickness. Don't ask me what the symptoms are...!
Skinner lived up to this claim in 1957 by publishing a book boldly titled Verbal Behavior in which he extended his analysis of learning to human language based almost exclusively on experiments with rats and pigeons using stimuli that were hardly linguistic in nature.
She had a good memory for bits of fresh gossip, or little stories of some celebrity that she had read or heard somewhere, and a knack of telling them entertainingly.
In Afghanistan, more than 70 percent of the children do not go to school. Many children have lost their father or mother, or both of them in the war, so they work to survive. Omid is one of there children. He lost his father in the war. When I first met him, Omid showed me his slingshot. He was ten years old, but he looked much older. He did not go to school when this picture was taken. "My father was killed in the war, so I have to work," he said. Soon Omid's mother let him and his brother go to school. I visited him at school some weeks later. He and his brother were studying with their friends. Both of them had their hair cut very short. They looked happy to study at school. 訳お願いします

Despite the often heated national debate, the majority of Americans are still in favor of the death penalty. According to a recent study, appoximately 65 percent of Americans still believe that the death penalty is appropriate forcrimes such as first-degree murder. Incases of mass murder, the percent in favor of capital punishment is even higher. More than 80 percent of Americans wanted the death penalty given to Timothy Mc Veigh, the man who killed hundreds in the Oklahoma City bombing. よろしくお願いいたします。。
