Hi
555名無しさん@英語勉強中:2006/09/08(金) 04:39:52
Usually, it's "I come here", not "I come to here".

>>555
You're right, I missed that one.
557^^:2006/09/08(金) 04:43:13
No, I do not. Have you learning Japanese?
558keira:2006/09/08(金) 04:48:23
Have you learning Japanese?---> Are you learning Japanese?

Yes, I'm trying, but I'm still not very good at it. xD;;
I have trouble with changing words, like with "te form", "ta form", "nai form"...that is the hardest part for me.
559名無しさん@英語勉強中:2006/09/08(金) 04:52:28
Hello. I am starting a new game of Pokemon Yellow, and I have a question on how I should beat Brock.

Should I catch a Nidoran and train it until it learns Double Kick,
train a Caterpie until it becomes a Butterfree and learns Confusion,
or train a Mankey until it learns Low Kick?

Which way is best?
560^^:2006/09/08(金) 04:53:21
I see.I see.^^ Can you read Japanese?
561keira:2006/09/08(金) 04:53:41
>>559
LOL, is this a serious question?
Go with the one that takes the less amount of time. xD
562名無しさん@英語勉強中:2006/09/08(金) 04:57:52
>>559

I can see from your post that you already have a fair amount of experience with the game. Since you're asking this, I'm guessing you went with Charmander (ヒノアラシ) as your starter pokemon?
Personally, I'd go with Nidoran, because it's final form is extremely strong and cool-looking.
563keira:2006/09/08(金) 04:59:46
>>560
Yes, hiragana, katakana, and about 100 kanji. That's it. >_>;;
564名無しさん@英語勉強中:2006/09/08(金) 05:01:38
>>562
I think you mean ヒトカゲ? Anyway, I deciced on Mankey (マンキー)
because I will probably not use any of the final forms of these
pokemon anyway. Thanks though!
565名無しさん@英語勉強中:2006/09/08(金) 05:04:49
>>564

Yeah, that's the one I meant. I confused it with one of the pokemon from Gold/Silver.

Mankey is still a good choice. Good luck in beating up Brock.
566^^:2006/09/08(金) 05:06:13
>>563
That is good. The Eng word ‘I’means‘watasi’‘ore’‘boku’and more in Japanese. xD

Genki ga areba nandemo dekiru!!!

Yeah! there are many words for "I"!
Watashi, boku, ore, jibun, atashi, watakushi, there are so many! haha xD

I use "atashi". That is the feminine one right? Heehee,
I'm kind of girly, so maybe I should use boku if I want to be wierd. xD
569名無しさん@英語勉強中:2006/09/08(金) 05:13:40
My Japanese is not very good, but I will try translating my pokemon's pokedex entry!

みがるで きのうえで せいかつする。
ふとしたことで きげんが わるくなり
まわりに いるものに とびかかる。

It lives carefree in the tress.
When surprised, it gets in a bad mood
and leaps upon the things around it.

>>568

Hey, "boku" is very serious business to me. It's not the kind of first-person pronoun that should be taken lightly. I can't recommend it to amateurs (I'm not talking about you specifically).

Anyway, you're lucky that you're able to use "atashi."

"We was"→"We were"
"oI' cupid he was"→"ol' Cupid was"
"I was believer"→"I was a believer"
588名無しさん@英語勉強中:2006/09/08(金) 07:11:03
Oh, "oI' cupid he was"→"ol' Cupid was"
I typed this by mistake
589名無しさん@英語勉強中:2006/09/08(金) 07:44:28
Surely he sing "We was""I was believer".
It's a nuance,I think.

"he sing" is also bad grammar. Anyway, there are no nuances to those usages. They're just bad grammar.
592名無しさん@英語勉強中:2006/09/08(金) 09:02:26

Yeah, I'm also NEET. We're the next stage of human evolution.

>>591

That's not strictly true, though you have a point. Depending on context and exactly how they're used, certain pieces of bad grammar are acceptable. You also have to allow a bit of leeway when it comes to things like songs.

"Ol' Cupid, he was taking aim," isn't unacceptable.
596591:2006/09/08(金) 09:40:18
>>595
You are right that "Ol' Cupid, he was taking aim," is not unacceptable.
However, "I thought oI' Cupid he was taking aim." is unacceptable.
