According to a TV report today, a South Korean male who was reportedly kidnapped
by North Korea proved to be the husband of Megumi Yokota. The husband's DNA corresponds
with their daughter. That usually would lead Japan and S.Korea to work side by side to
save them from NK, but things wouldn't seem to be easier. In Japan, kidnapping has become
a big problem and people are paying attention to what would happen next, but it's different
from SK. Because SK has been trying to make friends with NK and hopefully to get one country again,
they has almost overlooked the problem so far, as Japan didn't touch on it for long.
What action do you think the both of the government should take next?
If we go hard on NK, they may go away from the meeting held somewhere for NK to give up the
development of nuclear weapon. If we are soft on the country, they will never let kidnapped people
free.

From what I saw on TV, NBC, one of the American networks, broadcast
a news report that Megumi Yokota was taken away from Japan about 20 years ago
and she's still forced to live in NK, which has ambitions to have nuclear weapon
in hand to threaten surrounding countries.

I hear that an American couple created a documentary film named the story of Megumi,
and it sort of attacted attention.

I think that it would be good to continue having a casual English
conversation thread (vs. the Information Exchange thread which is
more academic in nature). If someone creates it, though, they would
probably be wise to also create a "Discuss Idols in English" thread
at the same time.

Back to being bored at work...

Please set up the next tread!!
I do not know how to complete it.
