I am a Japanese journalist who uses Tokyo as a base.
I have worked over 27 years by one of the Japanese reading papers.
It changed to the independent writer from last year.
Now, it is a book writer and contributes also to a magazine.
I mainly cover politics, diplomacy, a security, and international relations.
The peculiarity of East Asia after the end of the cold war is that
there are two countries of the one-party dictatorship by the Communist Party.
Two countries are China and North Korea.
Although Japanese people do not fully recognize the peculiarity on this security yet,
it is changing gradually.
The incident in which Japanese people were kidnaped by North Korea, 9-11,
the Afghanistan war and the Iraq war became the trigger of change.
It shows that that the socialist political party suffered a crushing defeat in the election.
Also, I stayed in New York till 1996 to 1999, and covered United Nations
and Wall Street. A coverage trip is often taken also to Cuba or Canada.

誤報２連発で産経新聞をクビになった人です

2002年小泉首相による初の総理訪朝に民間機を使用し政府専用機は
使用しないことになったとの記事を掲載した。だが同日、読売新聞に
自衛隊員とともに政府専用機を使用して訪朝することを前提とした
事前調査の記事が掲載された。翌日、読売グループの日本テレビは
自社番組のズームインスーパー中の新聞のミカタで産経新聞のこの
報道を何の根拠あってのことか説明せよと産経新聞を批判した。
結果は小泉首相は訪朝に政府専用機を使用し産経の誤報が確定した。

2002年小泉首相10月訪中決定との記事を一面にスクープとして掲載
したが同日中に福田康夫官房長官に否定された。以後2005年にいた
るも小泉首相の訪中は実現していない。

海外支社社員の英語力はどこもひどいよな。
ビジネスメールというものの存在をまったく無視した中学生レベル英作文で、
情報の問い合わせメールを堂々と送ってるY新聞の某支社さん。
恥ずかしいからやめてくださいおながいします……。
