Last Sunday I watched one serial programme about Japan and Japaness that live between us. Very interesting, it remenber you and the summer time that we spended togerder. I try to sumarise to you. 1. They explain that Japaness People like smartrooms (champignons,...) and you like them in very diferent kinds, in special the protagoist likes with sake (strong Japaness wine). That is semilar in Catalonia, we like smartrooms and we like to go in the forest to find them. But to cook we use oil, of course
Also te TV program told about the live of Japaness and it explain their jobs, now usual people.
It is one of those fables, which out of an unknown antiquity, convey an unlooked for wisdom, that the gods, in the beginning, divided Man into men, that he might be more helpful to himself, just as the hand was divided into fingers, the better to answer its end.
As such, it is precious as the sign of an indestructible instinct. Perhaps the time is already come, when it ought to be, and will be something eles; when the sluggard intellect of this continent will look from under its iron lids and fill the postponed expectation of the world with something better than the exertions of mechanical skill.
I am very happy right now because I just got hired on as a full-time employee I was very surprised since I have been on such a long vacation, but it is much better than contract work because health benefits are included (doctor, medicine, dentist).
It was very sad being there, getting a small understanding of the tragedy this country has gone through, and is still going through(there are still hundreds of thousands of mines in cambodia, and people are still being crippled by them every day) ,and the way human life was valued so little.Akira is doing wonderful work.. and through this he has had enemies(hard to imagine). he has been imprisoned and threatened, his 'museum' has been shut down, or attempted to be shut down many times.. apparently a businessman with a little bit more muscle' wanted to open his own museum and didnt want the competition, so bad mouthed Akira saying that he gave the country a bad image etc. anyway, long story a bit shorter, you get the picture.
But unfortunately, this original unit, this fountain of power, has been so distributed to multitudes, has been so minutely subdivided and peddled out, that it is spilled into drops, and cannot be gathered.
today Akira is at least able to carry on his work without hindrance, and some very good visitor help and many friends.of course the other thing i did in cambodia was visit angkor wat and the many surrounding temples! angkor itself is brilliant... i woke up at 4am on 2 mornings to see the sunset, and twice went to see the sunset. even though i had a bit of bad luck with cloud cover, the different light made for a fantastic sight. i think everyone who is there must take dozens of photos, cause i know i took lots and lots. for 2 days i hired a guy with a moto scooter to ride me around the temples.some are quite a distance away. on the 3rd day i gave him the flickエ and got myself a bicycle and cycled around the temples.. it was the nicest way to see the temples for myself.. the only thing being the heat and riding during the middle of the day is a bit hard. so i stopped for lunch and cold drinks..read my book and waited for it to cool down a little.
How can the rich people in the developed countries tell the poor people in the Third World how to raise their children? What will happen to those children after they are taken out of child labor?
We have done research on the problems you raised and have found some answers. If you have more questions, we will be more than happy to respond to them.
Between 1994 and 1998,the 144 firms mentioned earlier repurchased on average 1.9% of their outstanding shares each year, more than offsetting the 0.9% of shares issued per year, largely to meet the exercise of employee options. This level of substituting share repurchasing for dividends alone should have boosted share by a few percentage points.

"The first in time and the first in importance of the influencec upon the mind is that of nature."

"To the young mindm every things is individual, stands by itself. By and by, it finds how to join two things, and see in them one nature; then three, then three thousand; and so, tyrannized over by its own unifying instinct, it goes on trying things together, diminishing anomalies, discovering roots running under ground, whereby contrary and remote things cohere, and flower out from one stem."

There is very little humidity out there. Unlike here, where for the past week or so, the humidity factor has been around 100% - 110%. I hate humidity. But, dry heat, like in Arizona, is supposed to better for my health. Everyone has told me that it feels great out there.
A Buddhist image is a figure which may be painted, sculpted, or made in any other creative way. It functions more as a representation of the Buddha's spirit, such as loving kindness or compassion, than as a portrayal of the specific human being named Siddhartha Gautama (the historical Buddha's given name at birth). In a sense, it reflects aspects of Buddhist spirituality and constitutes a visual "dharma." Seeing an image can be a vivid reminder of one's buddha nature and its end result when fostered.

So you want to make a dinosaur?First things first, then. As far as anyone knows, dinosaurs were made from the same materials that all other living animals are made from---proteins,fats,carbohydrates and sugars, lots of water,a little salt, and various minerals for making things such as bones and blood. The problem is how to put all those things together in just the right way to make a dinosaur. What you really need is a set of instructions. To scientists, that set of instructions is known as the animal`s genetic code,or its DNA. You,a human being, have human DNA in just about every cell of your body. You could get a sample of your own DNA from less than one drop of your blood,or from a tiny piece of your skin. But how do you get a sample of DNA of an animal that disappeared from the earth 65 million years ago?
talking about the heat and the hot sun... i decided in the end not to take my malaria pills.. having been told that malaria carrying mosquitos are not present in the town itself.. only in the jungle.. also, wanting to avoid the side effects.. the main one being that it makes your skin more sensitive to the sun. now with the extreme sun, i thought the last thing i needed was less protection(actually, the last thing i would have needed was malaria..but anyway). so taking a wee' risk, i put the tablets away for another time possibly. i met only a couple people who were taking anti malarials.most people considering the risk too mall. also, i only ever saw a couple mosquitos the whole time.

A good example of this occured while I was writing this chapter. A few moments ago, as I was rereading what I had written, I had doubts about the year that I had typed in for Gutenberg's printing press. Therefore, I opened my Internet browser and typed the word `Gutenberg' into a search engine.

But as I become more and more involved with commercial music, I see a rift open and widen between what I want commercial music to be and what commercial music is. Some of it has to do with practical issues - the boring, ugly side of running a business, complicated in all the ways it shouldn't be. A lot of it has to do with basic moral issues. By and large, commercial music exists in the United States to provide the visual imagery needed to fuel a large ad industry which, in turn, fuels a hypercapitalist, consumerist economic system. So much of the fault I find with the world as it stands has to do with the way money dominates our lives and determines so much that it shouldn't have anything to do with. And yet here I stand on a path that leads me directly towards a life spent feeding the machine. I am good at music, and whatever I decide to do with it I know I can do well, but as interesting as I find much of commercial music to be, can I in good faith spend my days supporting a value system to which I am fundamentally opposed?
I also need to take time to think up ideas to include in the book, talk with publishers and editors, and choose photos. In the end, I will have spent several hundred hours working on this book mostly in the evenings and on weekends and holidays.
He met other women, but he couldn’t persuade himself to ask any of them out. “Slowly, while she was away,” he says, “I realized she was the only one for me too.” He asked her to marry him on Christmas Day, 1983, and they were married 18 months later.
He argues that those of us who live in large modern cities are especially likely to have slipped into a "rushaholic mode of living" in which speed has become an end in itself - at the office, on the roads, in the checkout line at the supermarket line and in all forms of public transportation.
Why not at least think about making the languid season's slower pace permanent? And if you're too busy to read his book, another ancient Roman summed up its potentially lifesaving message in two words a century or so after Horace: "Festina lente" -- hasten slowly.
Northern Ireland has two faces. On the one hand, Northern Ireland is one of the most beautiful parts. Ireland has the nickname[the Emerald Isle]. This is because Ireland is such a green isle or island that it is like the green jewel called the emerald. The countryside of Northern Ireland has gently rolling hills. Everywhere there are small white farmhouses, and these farms produce rich milk, butter and cheese which are famous in Europe. The Irish people, both the people who live in the north of Ireland and who are part of the UK, and the Irish who live in the Irish Republic to the south, have a reputation for being some of the kindest and most humorous people anywhere. Visitors always speak of Irish hospitality. Sadly, Northern Ireland has another face, and it is this face which daily shows it self in the newspapers and on television. Northern Ireland contains two communities. Two thirds of the people are Protestant, and one third of the population is Roman Catholic. On the whole, the Protestant majority want to stay in the United Kingdom, but a large number of the Roman Catholic minority would like to leave the UK and join the neighbouring Irish Republic, which is Roman Catholic. Most of the people in Northern Ireland would like to live in peace, but small groups of terrorists--both [Catholic] and [protestant]--fight for their cause. Since the mid-1960s, around 3,000 people have been killed in Northern Ireland. There seems no end in sight to the troubles of Northern Ireland. The Protestants and Catholics have opposite views. Ironically, all the peoples of Europe are now coming closer together and national frontiers of whatever sort will soon mean very little.

F1ですお願いします Sato Hero Or Amateur? The Fans Decide Tuesday June 15 2004
The F1 fans are at it again ? ranting and raving about Formula One’s latest news. The BAR drivers as well as former World Champion Jacques Villeneuve caused some debate. Here’s what Planet F1’s readers have to say…
Sato The Liability I couldn't agree more with your article about Takumo Sato's driving style. We have been at the Canadian GP for the last five years, sitting in the front row of the Senna Curve (grandstand 11). When Sato negotiates the Senna curve and heads toward 3 and 4, he up-shifts far faster than any F1 driver. He clearly abuses the Honda engine and he does not realize that they are indestructible. Sato is, at best, over optimistic about his driving ability. Look at his move on Barrichello in the European GP, right into Barrichello, there was no way he was going to make that corner. In Montreal he messed up in qualifying and then he nearly took out Panis and the two Ferraris. Richards must now regret letting go of Villeneuve!

The hours after the start of the first day, I knew I was in trouble. After pulling myself over Nepal's muddy Himalayan foothills, my legs bent under the weight of my 16-kilogram backpack. It would be dark soon; it was raining and my partner Greg and I were still four hours from our destination. I was certain that the day's walk was physically the hardest thing I'd ever done --- and we had 13 similar days ahead of us. What had I gotten my self into? The short answer was that I was trekking to KalaPatar, a 5,545-meter " hill" that is said to give the best view of Mt,Everest without having to cilimb it. The more difficult question was why I wanted to do this. After all, if I had paid 10,000 yen I could have seen Everest from a plane. Why suffer the grief and sore muscles just to see an 8,848-meter peak? The answer, I learned gradually, was very simple: you do it for the experience.
私は段々解ってきたのだが、答えは極めて簡単であった:you do it for the experience.
MiGel(TM) is provided with in a prepacked column as a preswollen gel. It has been swollen in sterile distilled H2O, capable of a volume up to 50 u[micro]l for desalination. IMMEDIATELY prior to use, vortex it 5-10 seconds and then click off the "bottom lid" to remove it. Loosen (but do not remove) the top cap and place the column in a microcentrifuge tube. Spin it at 750 x g for 60 seconds to remove the excess H2O. Do NOT exceed this g force, or there will be a void in the gel matrix. An overtime spin would result in the same. Also avoid a shorter-time spin like "flash" as is often done in your lab. This will yield a bad result due to its insufficiency of dehydration. Discard the top cap and put the column in a new microcentrifuge tube. Load slowly your sample with a volume of 30-50 u[micro]l onto the gel matrix immediately after the spin. Spin the column again at 750 x g for 2 minutes.
THE Curfew tolls the knell of parting day, The lowing herd wind slowly o'er the lea, The plowman homeward plods his weary way, And leaves the world to darkness and to me.
Now fades the glimmering landscape on the sight, 5 And all the air a solemn stillness holds, Save where the beetle wheels his droning flight, And drowsy tinklings lull the distant folds;
Save that from yonder ivy-mantled tow'r The moping owl does to the moon complain 10 Of such as, wand'ring near her secret bow'r, Molest her ancient solitary reign.
Beneath those rugged elms, that yew-tree's shade, Where heaves the turf in many a mould'ring heap, Each in his narrow cell for ever laid, 15 The rude Forefathers of the hamlet sleep.
The breezy call of incense-breathing Morn, The swallow twitt'ring from the straw-built shed, The cock's shrill clarion, or the echoing horn, No more shall rouse them from their lowly bed. 20
For them no more the blazing hearth shall burn, Or busy housewife ply her evening care: No children run to lisp their sire's return, Or climb his knees the envied kiss to share.
Oft did the harvest to their sickle yield, 25 Their furrow oft the stubborn glebe has broke: How jocund did they drive their team afield! How bow'd the woods beneath their sturdy stroke!
Let not Ambition mock their useful toil, Their homely joys, and destiny obscure; 30 Nor Grandeur hear with a disdainful smile The short and simple annals of the poor.
The boast of heraldry, the pomp of pow'r, And all that beauty, all that wealth e'er gave, Awaits alike th' inevitable hour: 35 The paths of glory lead but to the grave.
Nor you, ye Proud, impute to These the fault, If Memory o'er their Tomb no Trophies raise, Where through the long-drawn aisle and fretted vault The pealing anthem swells the note of praise. 40
Can storied urn or animated bust Back to its mansion call the fleeting breath? Can Honour's voice provoke the silent dust, Or Flatt'ry soothe the dull cold ear of death?
Perhaps in this neglected spot is laid 45 Some heart once pregnant with celestial fire; Hands, that the rod of empire might have sway'd, Or waked to ecstasy the living lyre.

While this vision of poewrful but invisible computers hidden in our environment sounds impractical and very expensive, that's an illusion. With the falling cost of microchips relentlessly driving down the costs of computers, computers will be so cheap,Weiser claims,"that we'll think nothing of going to the grocery store to pick up a six-pack of computers, just like we pick up batteries today."

The farther away one gets from the world of "English conversation," the weaker cultural barries become. Whenever I have traveled in the countryside, for example, the place where foreigners are the most rarely seen, I have found that the people there were far more natural, open, and dignified in their attitude toward me than are people in the world of "English conversation".
The past ages of humanity have all been carefully labeled by anthropologists. Descriptions like "Paleolithic beings," "Neolithic beings," etc., neatly sum up whole periods. When the time comes for anthropologists to turn their attention to the twentieth century, they will surely choose the label "Legless beings." Histories of the time will go something like this: "In the twentieth century, people forgot how to use their legs. Men and women moved about in cars, buses and trains from a very early age. There were elevators and escalators in all large buildings to prevent people from walking. This situation was forced on people of that time because of their extraordinary way of life. In those days, people thought nothing of traveling hundreds of miles each day. But the surprising thing is that they didn't use their legs even when they went on holiday. They built cable railways, ski-lifts and roads to the top of every huge mountain. All the beauty spots on earth were spoiled by the presence of large car parks."
That she believes you is hard to believe. Leave early enough for the airport, and you will catch the plane. Don't come too close, or you will catch my cold. Leave the books as they are until he comes back. We do not necessarily grow wiser as we grow older. It matters little whether I miss my train, because there's another one later. When we have a confidential talk, let's speak in a low voice lest anyone should overhear us. You can use my car as long as you drive carefully. As far as I am concerned, I have no objection to your plan. He was so lost in his thoughts he scarcely heard what the waiter said. That is such a good coffee shop that it is always full of people. It was not until the teacher told them the answer that the students understood what the question really meant. The trouble was that she was a very bad angler. Darwin hoarded his theories for decades in order to collect ever more facts. Not so with our hero: let the presses roll and throw off the grievous weight of a book unborn! Especially since a world falling to pieces is ripe to drop Pollyanna and take up with Cassandra on the rebound.

Lukla is where most people begin their treks. By contrasut, Greg and I had come "the hard way" with extra 9,000 meters of climbing. I felt pity for those fresh-off-the-plane trekkers: They had missed so much. I was beginning to understand why I'd come. Since 1960 there have been few occasions on which this instrument of policy was not in use, either on a voluntary basis or in the form of statutory control. Prices have been directly controlled as well as wages, and wages themselves have been subject to various forms of restraint, such as 'freezes', or 'norms' for wage increases. The impact of the policy has, predictably, fallen most heavily on the public sector. Although during the operation of incomes policy the rate of wage inflation has usually been reduces below the previously prevailing figure, it has often been higher than the 'norm' set, and has always been followed, when controls have been relaxed, by a rapid and sharp increase in the rate of wage inflation.

Did you know that wiskey spelt with an e is from ireland, its Scottish counterpart lacking the e. It's also interesting to note that the meaning of this word in its original Celtic form was water of life!

お願いします、ヶ所ヶ所意味がわかりません。。 It all goes back to about 10 months ago. Me, Hobie, and John wanted to go have lunch at the Italian restaurant, Soprano's. We decided on a time, but on the day we were supposed to go, Hobie showed up one hour early then left, John met up with Dexter (and to this day, I still feel sorry for him),and I never showed up at all. Until about 1 month ago, we kept making plans to relunch somewhere else, but never decided on a time. Then came the time to go to the Mexican restaurant. And that will be an experience to remember.

there is a popular actor called 'K' who is notorious for his ways of remaring. he said to journalists that he wanted to be treated as a positive man like a one who is vibrating with joy and love, for instance. it was quite ununderstandable. the other day,he dived from his flat, which is on 10 th floor, then i feel it natural for him.

I felt it was necessary to first ask his permission before slipping the ring on his daughter's finger. Now, I was on very good terms with her father so I really didn't think he would refuse. Still, as was only natural, my mind began to imagine everything that could possibly go wrong. Upon viewing 'Meet the Parents' each of these dark visions of my imagination not only came back to me but they were surpassed beyond anything could fear back then.

Second,a zoo should set up breeding colonies of the species in their countries of origin and train people from those countries in captive-breeding and reintroduction(再野生化) techniques. Third,a zoo should promote studies to learn more about the animals themselves, both in the wild and in captivity, and through this knowledge find better and more rapid ways of helping to avoid their extinction from our world. Last but definitely not least,a zoo should promote conservation education both in the country where it is set up and in the country from which its endangered species come, and generally where such education is most needed.

And even though this was true only for the upper and middle classes, their achievement could lead others to faith that eventually the new freedom could be extended to all members of society, provided industrialization kept up its pace. Socialism and communism quickly changed from a movement whose aim was a new society and a new man into one whose ideal was a bourgeois life for all, the universalized bourgeois as the men and women of the future.
おねがいします。 Thus there is no vice but takes on some show of virtue, though it is (of course)not true virture but mere hypocrisy. For hypocrisy is defined as the tribute vice pays to virtue. Vice can't show itself for what it is,without being hated and despised by men.
Thanks for your complements, but I hardly think I'm any good at Japanese. My vocabulary is lacking and I still don't understand the usage of many particles. Plus, when I'm talking to you, I don't know how to say things. I know there are many levels of speech, and I know some. I even have a book that teaches Japanese street slang. It may not be very beneficial to me, but I think speaking in slang is a lot easier. But, back to my point, I don't know what level of politeness to use with you. I know 7 different ways to say "I" and 4 different ways to say "you". 日本語に関する話だとは思うんですが、どなたか訳をお願いいたします!

Seventh Heaven What was being produced inside the Satyam No.7 Chemical Plant? c The Japan Times Weekly all rights reserved. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If Aum Shinrikyo attempted to make sarin at their Satyam 7 facility, as the police leaks allege, all of the scientists would be dead by now, along with most of the residents of Kamikuishiki-mura. Japanese organic chemists and chemical industry experts scoff at the suggestion that such crude equipment could be used to produce such a deadly toxin (see The Japan Times May 11). ON an NTV news program, a Tokyo University chemistry professor smiled at a set of blown-up photos, and said that the chemical plant is much too large, too poorly built and, without proper ventilation, too dangerous for producing sarin.
When the Weekly showed two visiting French scientists the photos that appeared in Friday magazine, they could barely contain their laughter. Expressing shock at the sorry state of the equipment, one of the French researchers muttered, "The equipment is very old. We are not used to such conditions even at (their Japanese university)" which is renowned for it's run-down laboratory facilities.
Shown the same photos, Thomas Banagan, an industrial chemist with Anver Boiscience Design in Sierra Madre, Calif., pointed out cracks in the seams of equipment and gave his frank opinion: "In America, this plant could not have passed inspection." So what could Satyam No. 7 have been producing? Given the large number of barrels of trichlorylphosphate (TCP) in the Satyam complex, the Weekly consulted the manufacturer of TCP about it's uses. A spokesman for Nihon Soda replied: "herbicides, insecticides, vinylchlorine resin, dyestuffs for industrial products, and medicines." Nerve gas was not on the list. Aum Shinrikyo, a producer of computers, needed polyvinyl chloride to produce plastic panels, boxes, keyboards, tubing and the like. The eclectic collection of machinery inside Satyam No. 7 shows that it was a multipurpose factory. The equipment seems to be older than the building, erected in 1993. Why did Hideo Murai concoct the rather ludicrous story about making the insecticide DDVP? Perhaps to explain the configuration of the chemical plant, which many observers, including top law enforcement officials, believe to be a facility for producing designer drugs such as Ecstasy and CAT. This could explain why the police were in such a hurry to remove all the physical evidence from the Satyam complex. A major illicit drug operation would require the cooperation of Japan's chemical and pharmaceutical industries, and the benign neglect of the Health and Welfare Ministry bureaucrats. These, in turn, would demand hefty campaign donations to powerful politicians. And, until recently, Yamanashi prefecture was the constituency of Japan's most powerful kingmaker.
4 Years After Sarin Attack -- Aum Shinrikyo Sect Is Regrouping And Growing
The March 20, 1995 attack, which left at least 12 dead and many thousands injured - - is behind them. Many of their fellow believers are emerging from the Tokyo Kosuge maximum-security prison after serving sentences for their alleged involvement. They are eagerly awaiting the release in a few months of Fumihiro Joyu, their spokesman, considered a folk hero against authoritarianism and conformism by Japan's younger generation. According to police, the sect is regrouping and growing. Aum members express no remorse for the crimes of four years ago. "Some of our leaders may have been guilty," says 10-year sect veteran Kaori Yoshida, "but at the time most of our members had no idea of what was going on. And there's a strong possibility that Aum Shinrikyo members did not commit any of the crimes they are accused of." Akira Kurata, recently released from solitary confinement, agrees. "Between 70 to 80 percent of the prosecutor's charges against me were fabrications."
Indeed all of the several dozen convictions so far have been decided solely on the basis of public prosecutors' scenarios or, in a handful of cases, on confessions. Not just sect members but attorneys, academics and journalists are concerned about these trials. A spokesman for the Japan Civil Liberties Unions said, "The police orchestrated a 'trial by media' before the actual trials began. Sect members were presumed guilty from the start." Aum tribunals have failed to respect the most basic standards of jurisprudence, for example, ignoring these facts: -- Japan's top chemists and U.S. experts long ago concluded that the sect's chemical plant could not have produced nerve gas because it had no ventilation system. -- Thousands of commuters must have seen the subway assailants, but not a single witness has been called to testify. -- Political connections. Aum activities and its religious license were sponsored by some of Japan's highest-ranking politicians and bureaucrats. -- Inter-sect relations. Four other new religions were deeply linked to Aum, including a sect that boasts support from a former U.S. president and another that has channeled funds to Harvard. -- Japan's national drug-enforcement police, which suspected the sect's plant had been built to produce illicit drugs, was never allowed by Tokyo police to inspect the facility.
"Ninety percent of the Aum affair remains hidden, and perhaps the truth will never be known," says a respected European correspondent who has been stationed in Tokyo for more than a dozen years. "It now appears that Aum was merely a part of a larger geopolitical struggle." The seeds of doubt planted by the clumsy official cover-up immediately after the subway attack four years ago have since grown into a forest of suspicion. But Aum members and even sect dropouts are facing more immediate uncertainties. Former convict Kurata says, "Although I quit the sect, the police still harassed me after I got out of prison and prevented me from integrating into society. There's nothing I can do about it. So for me the only thing that's left is to keep on meditating." "I don't know what the future holds for me," says sect veteran Kaori Yoshida, who worked as an editor at a publishing firm until the police pressured the publisher to fire her. "But over the coming year, I'll just be focusing on getting through the millennium."
Noise is more and more becoming an element of environmental pollution. in densely populated areas, this is particularly true. People who live in cities are bombarded with many kinds of noise at all hours of the day and night. Of course, traffic sounds are a major factor, such as honking horns, sirens, whose volumes has been turned up to unnecessarily high levels. This is especially a problem in multifamily dwellings, such as Apartmenr houses.
