No this is real thread the other one is a fake.
Watch title.
Apparently, this thread is genuine.
But I think the thread showed in #3 is created without ill will.
The looks of this thread is suitable. But we might as well use:
"Chatter in English (Part 6) " Because that was created earlier than this one.

Questionable results
Local officials interpret the gains on an English test
(the CELDT) as evidence that English learners in the
Los Angeles Unified School District are making real
progress. The CELDT was introduced two years ago.
Research shows that when a new standardized test is
introduced, scores are low at first, and then increase
each year as teachers and students become more
familiar with the format and contents. The CELDT is
closely aligned with the California State Standards;
teachers are very aware of what kinds of items will be
on the test. It is not clear if the gains represent
real learning or simply better test preparation.

cake, though.lol

>>261 Once they got killed - it's easy, I think. We will be determined
all the more to combat terrorism and make the world peace,
in order not to waste their lives.
Difficult decision is, I think, at this moment. We should not
concede to the terrorists. But that means... Of course Japan, with
the help of US, will try best to rescue the hostage.
264 :

Japan followed America.

are roaming and shooting some of us to death as if
it's a routine?
At least I can't. Why can we get involved in the war?
Japanese must hate it when barrages of gun fire are heard.

At least I can't.

they were in serionu danger.
it was their fault.
277 :
>>273 I misread it. LOL
I don't think anybody takes responsiblity for terrorism.
Even George W. Bush doesn't have to take it, I think.
I don't think he wanted another September 11th.
If something is wrong, I would say it is anything other than human beings.
278 :
>>275 how can we negotiate with them? our government is making contact
with them, Fukuda implied.
Fukuda's point is that Japan don't have to withdraw SDF, because
they are only contributing to the Iraqi welfare - building schools
roads etc. Not like the US force that is killing Iraqis.
But, not all people in that country see things in the same way
as Fukuda does. Obviously.
279 :
Ahhhh, we are facing a chatch-22 kind of thing now..
If we don't control the situation, subjugate ourselves
to the terorrism, and have the troops leave iraq,
then America think it's a treachery.
And that will lead to economic sanctions.
On the other hand, if we continue to follow America,
then we may see Japan teeming with terrorists.
I don't come up with any good idea..
How about you?
280 :

He didn't make sense.

but it is still in the air what is the condition in exchnge for
the release.
nothing about what the government has to do is not
announced.
no condition is ideal for tokyo, but it may be a little bit sweeter.
371 :
it is sad that some kind of people tried to take advantage
of this incident to force the government to decide to withdraw
jieitai from iraq.
who should be blamed is the terrorists , not the government.

456 :
does the government have to pay huge ransome for release of
the hostages?
of course
but comparing with other things. it's so marginal.
Japanese people wouldn't mind. They have been numbed enough.
This society is virtually built on inefficiency and we don't give a shit.
458 :
spend money on release may be acceptable ,even if reluctantly.
but we have to avoide to fall ourselves in terroists hand.
its unfair to use this incident to blame the government with no
expression of anger against the terrorists, like some kind of
political group do.
459 :
two germannies who were kidnapped in iraqi seems to have
been killed, according to a news.

what is the new condition for release?
461 :
1. foreign vice minister aizawa have to visit falluja to see
the scene after a holocost cnducted by us army and the
mass grave of the victims.
2. the japanese government have to aplogize officially to
iraqi people.
3. jieitai have to leave iraqi.
if all of these three requests are not accepted, one hostage
will be killed in 24 hours and the others
will be killed in additional 12 hours.
462 :

470 :
the negotiation seems to be difficult to end in success.
yeah, it'll take some more time for sure.
BTW, aren't there some speculation that these three are actually voluntarily captured??
You know, just to get the Japanese army (well, politically incorrect, but..) out of there?
472 :
>>471 there is no one who doesnt know the request.

abductees.
and they look driven by it.
but the government is settled enough.
btw who is them? in ur"it's all set up by them"
the abductees? left wing party? north korea? chinese communist pty?
>>475 the left wing including these three idiotic people
477 :
its in common all over japan , feeling something very
similar to a typical way of a left wing party in the
statement send from the kidnappers. lol
the funny thing is this terrorist group know so much about what's going on in Japan.
I mean, it's like, "where'd you get such info???"
Another thing is, normally, terrorist groups ovet there do not fax their statements cuz' there's a risk that it's gonna give away where they reside.
It's almost like they don't know shit. They don't know proper ways.
479 :

487 :
it is still under negotiation , and it seems hard to

they may be still insisting withdrawal in exchnage for release.
488 :
>>487 Who do you think they are?
Only the iraqi tribal maniacs?
489 :
no one knows in detail so far.
according to a series of news.
they are a terrosist group in favour of sunni which
consisits of younger members, and expected to
be connected with alcaeda.
they may be fanatic iraqi members, but they seem to
be familiar with national nature of japanese.
490 :
>>489 Does the group actually have a contact with alcaeda?
491 :

that is a rumour so far, some people say descriptions in the

If you were a mirror man, how can you handle this stuation?
506 :
situation
507 :
who is uekusa?
is he famous for anything?
508 :
is anyone?
509 :
I had a nightmare.
510 :
>>510 Sorry, I didn't notice your response.
The nightmare's already vague, though.
I'm staying in a old apartment, facing a train rail.
The building's deserted and creepy. And it's a two or three
story, I think.
When I open the window in the room,
a troop is rushing in my room, firing guns at me..
I'm trying to get out when I get up and escape this nightmare..
512 :
who are you ?
>>512 you are the nightmare....www
514 :
do u have any information about the abductees?
515 :
no news,sir.
517 :
burn them??
518 :
when 12 hostages were released, they may have been released.
but it is strange , there has been no confirmation yet.
me is fed up with this news....
make up your bloody mind!!! >> kidnappers
Just feeling kind of biue,now.
521 :
i feel very sorry for the mirror man.
have a pity
522 :
me too.
I read English news and books everyday but I cantnot seem to
speak in English, even the simplest sentences!
It takes me few minutes to make up things to talk about.
523 :
four italians were kidnapped, and the kidnappers seem to
have demanded italy to make its troops leave iraq.
524 :
there is no information to believe.
th kidnappers didnt keep the promise.
525 :
the kidnappers seems to say that they rnt in favour of husein and
not terrorists.
what r they?
Too much abbreviation is a piece of shit
527 :
↑I couldn't agree more.
528 :
r they really held in iraq?
can they be in jordan?
Nothing notable yet?
530 :
I dunno,
those stupid 3 must repent
the end is extremely fuckin' nigh
531 :
impossible is nothing LOL
Those stupid 3?
C'mon! I think what they've done is brave.
Nah, just kiddin'.
How can they be so dumb? And, what's up with their families???
I mean, i gotta tell ya, if i was born in that type of family, man, i would definitely kill myself and kill em.
533 :
What's their deal?
534 :
fukin' A
535 :
>>533 may b they want tons of hash
>>533 never stop talkin shit
their logic is just ridiculous
they didn't stop their kids going to iraq, which is now a serious war field
but, then, they are accusing the japanese gov of being cruel and useless
i mean, c'mon, what the fuck is that?
537 :
What do you mean?
538 :
Uh, I'm not on their side, of course.
But What's broadcast in Japan now is,
they don't have any relationship with the
terrorists.
Religious advocates in Iraq debated things about
kidnappings and suggested the terrorists set the three free.
What's the truth?
>>538 my guess is that a lot of different groups are trying to take advantage of this situation, know what i mean?
that's why so many mixed pieces of info out there
now, so hard to find out what the truth is
540 :
What do you think they would tell us
if they came back to Japan unscathed?
Something like "we are against terrorism!"or"
we hope Japan will take back JSDF from iraq"?
541 :
>>539 So it's on a case-by-case basis
how we handle the situation, right?
542 :
what ever......
thay are jus' Japanese three stooges man
>>540 for sure, they gonna make real stupid left-wing thingy comments
but, you see, a lot of people are criticizing them for thier immature judgment & going to iraq
so, don't know, whatever they say will annoy the public more, and they might just get ignored or get criticized more..
544 :
if the red army is involved in this case,
it can try to get rid of them in order to
keep the truth in secret.
545 :
>>542 Oh, yeah..
How did they finagle such a primo assinment?
I mean, how did they get in touch with the iraqi tribal fighters?
547 :
>>543 Agreed.
On the other hand, Japanese mass media haven't indicated
any sign of what they really are.
How come?
548 :
japanese government may be under negotiation
with the japanese terrorist group?
what a chaotic world!
>>547 yeah, that's a real sham, isn't it?
the thing about media is they can be so manipulative
>>547 'coz they don't know notin'
well guys I gotta go now
thanx, I had a great time
time to roll a joint!
bye guys c-ya!
552 :
>>544 So if it's true, they won't come back here.
I'm somewhat ignorant of the red army, but
I think whatever her name is was captured and taken into
costody, do you?
And she was very influencial, so the organization doesn't
work now. It's not true?
>>551 roll me one, too
i don't smoke it up if you don't roll it proper
554 :
Ah, everyone seems to desert me.
I wanna talk more, though.
555 :
>>552 putting aside her,
do u remember the strnage messenger, whose name is doreimy?
a cooperative group in iraq is expected, and red army or something
might have prepared him in a mad rush.
arrangement by the three alone is difficult.
556 :
I'm getting 555 without chatting with jobless idiots
sorry I'm still here
>>553 oh boy, you'll get fucked up so good w/ my joint
u won't even b able 2 feel ur face 4 couple of hours man
558 :
There is a big news. I am looking forward to reading weekly shinchou
>>556 congrats.
now you realize that you are the real idiot
>>557 for real?
damn, you got some sweet weed (maybe chronic??)
the best one i got before made me speechless for hours

so what i did was just mellowin out with music
damn, that was real good time
561 :
>>555 I'm afraid the name doesn't ring a bell with me..
Maybe I didn't pay so much attention to the news.
You mean the group supported and ushered
the idiots into the basement?
I donno..
So complicated that I'm not all clear..
>>560 I only take the chronic ofcourse
you won't even know who you are
>>563 you won't even know who you are???
are you serious?
damn, i never had something like that
yeah, so, roll me one, man
565 :
USA and Japan must strengthen the relationship as an ally
566 :
>>565 For fear of the north korea?
567 :
>>562 she is shigenobu fusako, former leader of red army.
568 :
>>566 For the peace of world. and to contain dangerous 2 rogue states in Far East
569 :
>>567 Oh, really?
I just remember.
anyway, I was a bit confused that you said putting aside her,
because the figure that took shape in my head was Shigenobu Fusako.:)
570 :
r○d a○m○ is the most fanatic and crazy organized bandit.
571 :
do u have new information about them?
572 :
Nothing special to tell you.
573 :

i lost an opportunity to watch question time today.
its regerettable.
575 :
I am hungry
576 :
>>575 have a carolie mate
577 :
hungry?
nissin cup noodle.
578 :
a few months ago, I had 3 cups of instant noodle. after then I felt stomach-ache and I vomited them.
I advise you 「don't such a thing like me.」
579 :
>>578 wow you mustve been reeeeeeally hungry...
i will keep your advice in mind thank you
581 :
tiger is weak
582 :
why doese the suporters in favour of left wing parties
deny the abductees' responsibility they should take?
583 :
they may still insist that sending jieitai to iraq caused of this incident,
and the government should be resposible for it.
so they r asking for withdrawal of jieitai from iraq to save them.
584 :
>>582 responsible for what?
585 :
resposibility for risk.
586 :
>>583 You can use SDF for jieitai.
Anyway, do you think what they want has made sense?
587 :
>>585 What about the status quo?
Has things already changed?
588 :
>>586 who is them, the abductees or supporters?
>>585 nothing changed.
there seems to be only a little information to believe.
589 :
2 additional japanese became hostages
590 :
>>588 Huh?
you used them on 583
as those who were kidnapped , didn't you?
591 :
There are 5 Japanese hostages in Iraq
592 :
I just read the news about the comments from
their families.
They apologized for what the three did.
And some writer said that thier demand will reach a lot
of Japanese, and the spectrum of the withdrawal of
SDF from iraq will build up!
593 :
syuukann shinntyou
595 :
>>591 I'm sorry to tell you're kidding.
I read an article about them.
How silly they are!
596 :
>>590 i mean the supporters on 583..
the supporters r still insisting and asking for withdrawal from iraq.
this is response to 582,
anyway, i respond to ur question,
the supporters look like intendeing to make the government
decide witdrawal , by making use of that incident in iraq.
its unfair, and i cant agree with them.
597 :
How come they're going to be kidnapped?
They just want to be famous, don't they?
598 :
>>595 I agree! I don't know the reason why they go to dangerous and disorder place.
To fish? To retreat SDF from there?
599 :
>>595 let me know it in short.
5 japanese r held in iraq by some group or something?
600 :
according to the 3 fanatic idiots, the rest is also plying thier own work is the most likely
601 :
>>598 They are numb..
I think Iraq is in a state of war.
If they want to take photos or to report the situation of iraq
to us, they should take care of themselves, I mean,
they should go with some members of SDF.
If they can't do so, then they must not stay in Iraq.
Why did they behave so freely?
I have no idea what they're thinking.
602 :
they didnt appear in the film with the three abductees.
r they kakushidama of the kidnappers?
603 :
>>601 I see. Your opinion is very good!!
by the way, How do you think about that a young boy is intersting in
inferior Uran rather than car, sports or girl?
when I was 18, I am interesting in girl and baseball.
I think He was brainwashed to be professional marxist by thier parents, I think.
605 :
>>603 thx.
it is shocking.
japanese people seem to be targetted.
a lot of japanese in iraq can be kidnapped at random.
i thought , usually journalists were safe from kidnap.
but nowadays they arent.
606 :
I have a doubt about why Mass communication broadcast a few area's disoder as
all area's chaos
607 :
>>604 Doesn't he belong to some organization that's that distructive?
How can I say about the boy who wants to upset our
nation?
608 :
>>606 You mean you can go and stay in Iraq
because there're no sham out there
except for a few areas?
609 :
>>605 One of the important points I've come up with
is whether the additonally kiddnapped persons knew the civilians
from Japan have been taken away somewhere,
when they arrived in Iraq.
If they knew about the news, I think they went to iraq
for their becoming famous...
610 :
is a statement of abduction from kidnappers yet?
611 :

been released.
623 :
Who would care?
624 :

i dont understand what the reporter is saying from iraq on NTV. lol
630 :
Morning Musume's band name sounds kinda Engrishy. Where does the word "Morning" come from?
Coz I was just thinking "Are we only allowed to listen to Morning Musume in the Morning?".
Other Engrishy Band names include..
Mr.Children (the weirdest name I ever heard)
Mad Capsule Markets
S M A P
Rip Slyme
B O A..
The List goes on.
631 :
What's up?
I just wonder why the hostages are in the embassy of Japan
in Iraq?
They wanted to upset the Japanese government?
It doesn't make any sense if they count on the government.
632 :
it might have been hard to end the negotiation.
the government succeeded to make them relased at a huge cost.
633 :
There is no morning musume fans club in sg i think.. i never heard of one..
And there a place to buy MM goods.. not many either.
There's a store in Heeren level 5. They sell Jpop goods. (e.g W-inds,Flame, MM ,Ayumi etc..)
634 :

they will return to japan in a few days.
637 :
did u get the gogai about the release?
638 :
the italian seems to have been killed in a very cruel way.
al jazeera decided to give up putting the scene on the air.
639 :
the kidnappers seem to have handed its statement to the hostages.
and part of that is already on the news web.
640 :
according to the web, there are at least three reasons for relase in the statement.
the third reason is interesting.
1. we accepted the reqest from a muslim cleric association.
2. public opinion in favour of withdrawal of jieitai from iraq was formed
agaist the governments policy in japan.
3. we saw a demonstrator in a demonstration rally for release
of the hostages, carrying a placard with Allah akbar(allah is great)
641 :
the terrorist group described themselves as if they were
in favour of japanese nationals.
it is funny. lol
japanese left wing parties are used in order to justify
themselves. i hope left wing parties express their
anger against terrorism.
642 :
koizumi is angry at something.
643 :
the released hostages seem to have asked the government for
allowing them still to stay in iraq.
koizumi is depressed again with them.
644 :
they are just fontin'
645 :

koizumi reform is getting effect
647 :
do they understand that some people
tried for their lives to rescue the hostages ?
they should think deeply what to do fo the sake of
people who were involved in this incident.
648 :
they have no any gratitude against the cabinet
>>648 Yes, they do. They sort of changed their attitudes as far as I saw them on TV.
They apologized a lot, saying sorry for causing so much trouble and so many concerns to a lot of people.
And, they said something like they really want to thank the Japanese gov.
650 :
why that 3 want to stay there?
651 :
do they know other two japanese ppl r still held in iraq?
even some iraqis r expected to be in danger for rescue.
they have to avoid putting other ppl in danger at least now
if they have humanitarian spirit of volunteerism.
652 :
a
653 :
is there no statement from the kidnappers who
kidnapped two japanese?
654 :
two korean cars were used to transfer the hostages
when they were released.
655 :
any information do you have?
656 :
the two japanese seem possible to have been
kidnapped by armed robberies.
if so , no statemnt wii be send over.
or the kidnappers has failed to send over its statement
on this incident immediately?
657 :
When they were interviewed, they criticized the Japanese goverment
for deploying SDF. To sum up,
They said those who deserves punishment are
the administration, not the iraqi people.
Of couse, not all people in iraq or from iraq are devilish, horrible
terrorists. We won't dislike iraqi people because of the three idiots.
Almost all iraqi people may be preferable.
How come the three idiots bite the hand that feeds them?
Who would have took care of them?
Iraqi religious leaders?
Then why did the leaders cast an eye on them?
Because Japan has helped iraq financially , and we helped
them reconstruct their society.
The idiots themselves deserves punishment!
They tried to destruct not only Japan, but also Iraq.
658 :
one of the released hostages seems to have said in bagdad something
to be shocked with, that iraqi people have nothing to be responsible
for and self defence forces are bad.
why does he or she try to shift responsibility to sdf?
such an expression means justifying the kidnappers.
a lot of people tried to rescue the hostages at risk.
such people will be depressed with his having no sense of
responsibility and nothing to say the criminals.
659 :
may be its my misunderstanding, but i feel
they r trying to make sdf leave iraq in step
with terrorists.
It was a whole setup.
What else could it be.

why Toritani can't show his baseball ability?
why is Daichan bald?
871 :
>>870 These are tough questions.
Toritani, who I don't know of very well though,
is young and under pressure , and can't get over it, while
Daichan is old and under pressure, and can't it.
So Toritani fails at bat, and Daichan gets bald.

Have you ever watched the Harry Potter series
in a movie theater or on the tube?

I'm somewhat what they call pottarian, people who love the stuff.

supposed to be released tomorrow.
I'll go and watch it, though maybe not tomorrow.

Hi there.
How are you feeling?
916 :
Perfect English Speaker = The Genius:04/07/24 04:56
What you guys think of the teaching of English in the Japanese schools?
917 :
>>916 In Japanese elementary school?
918 :
Perfect English Speaker = The Genius:04/07/24 05:03
>>917 I don't think most of the elementary schools have a English class.
So I meant the teaching of English in the Junior and Junior High schools.
919 :
I know some people are against teaching English so early
because kids need to know Japanese more.
I, for one, think it's better to teach the language asap.
One reason is because they'll be listening to English
more easily. Most Japanese have difficulty in
English listening after they grow up without it.
>>918 They'll have ones in the near future as you may know.
920 :
>>918 And can I have a personal question for you?
Do you teach English?
921 :
>>918 To be honest, I don't know how the students learn English
in the schools now. But in retrospect, teachers too focused on grammar to
speak English.. Um, it was not because of grammar, though.
I didn't like the subject then.:)
You seem to me as if you teach English.
Am I wrong?
Anyway, it's your turn.
So what do you think about it?
922 :
Do you want me to wait more?
923 :
Perfect English Speaker = The Genius:04/07/24 05:30
Ok, thank you for the long responding.
I am not a teacher by the way, and in fact I'm a teenager.
I have no problems with the focus on the grammer teaching
because it is actually important. On the contrast, what the
students lack today is the conversation skills, though I don't
know how this can be achieved.
Can you wait a moment?
I wanna smoke.
925 :
>>923 Oh, you're a teenager?
A little surprised to hear that.
So you're for what they call oral English anyway?
Think you took the subject in your shool, though.
In my opinion, communicating oneself well
requires lots of experience even in Japanese.
Of course, good personality is must, though..
927 :
Speaking of communication,
the lack of talking face-to-face
sometimes causes a devastating result such as
murder.
What do you think about the fact kids in elementary school
use the internet like it's some sort of toy?
928 :
The reason I asked such a question is
I've thought of the girl ( I don't remember whatever her
name is, though) in Nagasaki prefecture who killed her
friend because she was offended when she read the friend's
weblog or something.
929 :
And if you want to switch off your PC,
please let me know before you go off-line.
930 :
>>928 I'm afraid something like that, too. And it did happened to me
when I wrote e-mail to someone close to me with offensive words.
I really regret what I've done.

932 :
>>930 So sorry to read that.
Did you make it up to the friend?
I mean, did you apologized for the e-mail?
If you regret it, you should tell her
you're sorry.
That'll work, I think.
933 :
Well, it seems no one's here.
I feel deserted.I can't wait more.
So good bye..

The VSOP method of learning English has caught on
with Japanese people now!
I can't believe it has, because GE, which the famous Ken
came up with, is better than the newly invented method!
Please face up to the reality that GE is the one that helps
you master English!!
