面白そうなので今ためしにググってみたら、proveの用例が無限大なのに対して、
revealed to be a lieは数えるほどしかありませんでした。
間違いというよりニュアンスの違いでしょうか？「明らかにされた」と「明らかになった」との。

(意味的には"Correspondence is a good way." + "By that way we can understand foreigners.")
「文通はその方法によって外国の人々を理解できるよい方法である。」
とする必要があります。文法書の単元では前置詞＋関係代名詞になります。
通常の会話ではあまり使われない表現ですが、文章やスピーチでは良く使われます。
バリエーションとしては
Correspondence is a good way by which to understand foreigners.
というのもありますよ。

People called these studies RANGAKU.
これを受動態に訳すという問題の答えが
These studies was colled RANGAKU
ですた。
これは　by〜　を略するパターンと言う事でよろしいですか？

あと
He promised to do something for you
の to do と samething　の位置が
Do you have anything to do now
になるとひっくり返るのは、こういうものだと覚えこむしかないですか？
何か覚えるコツがあったら教えてください。

これは大事なことだが、動詞は「意味」と「用法」の双方を覚えて
おかないと使えないものなのだ。
辞書を見れば解ると思うが、promiseの用法には次のようなものがある。
Ｖ＋（Ｏ）＋Ｏ（to不定詞）e.g., He promised (me) to do something for you.
Ｖ＋（Ｏ）＋Ｏ（that節）e.g., He promised (me) that he would do something for you.
Ｖ＋Ｏ＋Ｏ e.g., He promised me something to do for you.
何れの用法においても、promiseの直後にsomethingが来ることはない。

　書き忘れたが、覚えるコツは、用法が似通った動詞をグループに
してグループ毎に覚えることだな。

『どんなスポーツが好きですか？』はWhat kind of sport do you like?とWhat kind of sports do you like?のどちらですか？

Assertiveness may be important for men when theyy speak,but women
who want to make themselves ( 1 ) need to be warm, gentle and even
a bit hesitant, a massachusetts reseacher said.
Osychologist linda Carli of Wellesly College said her studies about differences
in communication styles between men and women showed a wide gender
gap in the way men and women judged each other.
Men who think assertiveness means ability in men's speech don't
{(2) judge women's speech the same way.} They listen more to women
who speak softly.In one study, Carli asked male and female actors to
read messages using both assertive and hesitant styles of speaking.
Then she had 60 men and an equal number of women listen to the tapes
to judge the speaker's ability.She found that although the men were
impressed with other men who seemed confident and able, {(3)that}was
not the way they judged the female speakers.The women who seemed
most impressive to the men in the atudy were those who spoke with a

とある問題集に載ってました
実はこれの訳は書いてあって、「彼はアラスカへ行ったまま、連絡がありません。」
となっているのですが、どう解釈していいのか分からないんです
