【文化】「少年サンデー」と「少年マガジン」編集部が協力　新雑誌編集へ [02/27]

雑誌の売れ行きの不振が続くなか、しにせの漫画雑誌、小学館の「少年サンデー」と講談社の「少年マガジン」の
編集部が、出版社の枠を越えて１つの漫画雑誌を編集する異例の取り組みを始めることになりました。

これは、少年サンデーと少年マガジンが、来年、ともに創刊５０年を迎えるのを機会に、売れ行きの減少が続く
少年漫画界を活性化しようと小学館と講談社が合意したものです。新しい雑誌は、サンデーとマガジンの編集部が
協力して、本誌とは別に増刊という形で発行し、サンデーの「名探偵コナン」と、マガジンの「金田一少年の事件簿」
という２つの人気漫画の過去の名作を掲載します。ことし４月から半年間、月に２回発行する計画です。
「サンデー」と「マガジン」は、いずれも昭和３４年３月に創刊し、ライバルとして少年漫画の分野を
切り開いてきました。しかし、日本雑誌協会によりますと、去年はサンデーが９３万５０００部、
マガジンが１８７万部と、ピーク時に比べて半数以下に減っています。２つの出版社が会社の枠を越えて
１つの雑誌を編集するのはきわめて異例だということで、来月、正式に発表することにしています。
