its colour change is sharper than that of methyl orange, so it

を　Sereened methyl orangeと呼んでいる。混ぜた方が色の変化
がはっきりして滴定の終点がわかりやすくなる。まさに選ばれた
（ふるい分けられた）メチルオレンジな訳だ。

で、この理屈がメチルオレンジに使えるかというとそうでもない。（この解釈でよいかもしれない）
