The diesel engine itself is a beauty ― it’s refined, frugal and flexible. Never mind its power
output; the telling figure with all diesels is the torque, or pulling power. The CX-5 musters
a mighty 420Nm, which comes on strong straight from the word go and makes overtaking
and climbing hills a breeze.

このディーゼルエンジンそのものが傑作だー洗練され、滑らかでフレキシブルだ。
馬力などうでもよい。全てのディーゼルエンジンでものを言うのはトルクすなわち牽引力だ。
CX-5は走り出すや否や力強い420-NMを発揮するので、追い越しや登坂をそよ風のように
容易にしてくれる。
